I have been using groupon for over a year now and yes i have had some issues with the seller but groupon has always been there to resolve the problem always. I buy quality products for cheap prices. It does not get any better than that
I had high hopes for Groupon, but unfortunately my experience with them was not pleasant.
I had purchased a hair tool and they never shipped it! I tried getting in contact with customer service, but they make it damn near impossible. It was a full month before I received an email apologizing and they kindly allowed me to cancel my order.
I will never us Groupon again!
Low price means that the quality is not high. When I purchase something by using Groupon, the service providers always want you to buy directly. Because Groupon will charge some fees from them.So... this will bother you and even the quality is lower.
I placed an order on a Saturday for a watch, of which the site said there were only 4 left. I completed the order process and waited for a confirmation email. By Tuesday I had not received one, so I logged into the site and found that there were no orders listed for my account. Despite this, I also found that the charge had been applied to my credit card.
After reading some reviews of the customer service phone line, I decided to try the online chat and got nowhere. The representative was rude, informed me that there was a mix up and I just would not receive the product and must wait for the charge to fall off of my bill.
I am beyond confused as to how my credit card got charged but the order was not recorded. I am furthermore frustrated by the fact there was no attempt by the company to address the issue. This is unacceptable for a company that relies on online orders, and I will not be attempting to order from them again.
I order many many things from this site. They always help if you need it But I'm finding more businesses that reality don't respond our you can't get ahold of anyone. They always refund my money but just noticing it happening more lately. Like they get overwhelmed with the response and just give up lol. Will continue to shop because i love the site. Would highly recommend
They wouldn't refund my money after telling me that I should have read the fine print on their sale. It was disappointing because, I thought Groupon was supposed to help people save. Instead they find any gimmick they can use legally to keep your money and make you lose it on some legal technicality.
I suggest people don't use groupon and look for other services out there.
Unfortunately Group on are very difficult to contact. My last item was neve delivered and it took many emails to resolve the situation. In the end I got a refund but all I wanted in the first instance was my order. Foolishly I have ordered from them again and 8 days later no sign of my item. I feel they do mot value their customers. Very disappointing.
I love this site and would recommend it to anyone based on my experience.
Tips to you would be to always google the item you want to see if you truly are getting a good deal, and to ALWAYS check when they say they could ship the item.
They usually say when they expect to send it away.
Also pay close attention to the return policy. If you wish to return an item outside of their guidelines it isn't necessarily their fault. But remember, you can buy clothing and try it on basically risk free- My recent deal was a $500 gown for my prom that I got for about $250.
Do not buy the Groupon "goods" I had an awful experience with them. I bought a comforter that I just did not like and it had one tiny stain on it. I had to contact the seller (which was not easy. Groupon had to send them multiple e-mails.) The seller wanted me to take photos of the "dirt stains." (which i refused to do. I never said it had dirt stains) The shipping was more than the product was. This was a 2 week headache.
Also, bought a getaway that was falsely advertised.
Just stay away. It sounds great, but they need to work the kinks out and get their stuff straight. They have a lot of competition.
I bought a membership to Sam's Club through Groupon. I followed the instructions for how to use the voucher they sent me, but it didn't work. So, not only did they charge me the $20 for the voucher "deal", Sam's Club charged me the full $50 membership fee. When I contacted Groupon to find out what happened, they offered me to let me use my $20 on a different "deal," or get "store credit" to use another time. I had to refuse to take anything but my $20 back.
Then, when i went to Sam's Club to see about cancelling the membership so I could get one using the 50% coupon on their own website, I was told that since I bought the membership through a third party, I had to go have the third party fix the problem.
When I contacted Groupon again, I was basically told since they refunded my $20, they were done with me.
So, save your hard-earned money and AVOID Groupon! They will only offer one scam after another.
I shop on a number of ecommerce sites and the customer service here is the absolute worst, assuming you can even get anyone to respond. They take forever to ship, it's prices are substantially higher that competitors prices for same items and the customer service staff all seem to only know one word and it is "no". I am afraid I have to give up on this site and stick with Gilt, Rue la la, Haute, One Kings Lane and Josh.

The retailer said they have told Groupon to remove their deal 6 month before. Groupon didn't do anything since then. I purchased the coupon and couldn't use it but Groupon didn't agree with full refund. They accused it was my fault. Worst custom service. Be careful.
In addition, the problem was sent to Groupon for about a month but Groupon didn't make any progress at all. Worst custom service ever. If there is a 0 on review scale, I will definitely choose it.
I've reached out to groupon a few times for vendors who have rejected my groupon against the terms. I've contacted groupon 3x about a specific issue, and they tell me that nothing can be done because vendors have their own terms (even if it isn't stated anywhere on the voucher, on the ad, or on the vendors site). The third time I called them was a few days after expiration and now they're telling me that nothing can be done because it's expired. He (name is Nor D) was extremely rude with me - basically pushing me off off the chat. Most sites have a feedback link or asks for feedback after each chat, but groupon does not.
I didn't even want a refund - I just wanted a voucher so I could purchase another groupon. I just don't understand because the money is staying in their pockets...

Very dishonest company. I bought a voucher and couldn't reach that company for a week to book my trip. I contact groupon, they gave me live chat that ignore my issue and just told me they couldn't refund because it's over 3 days. That was it. Then I receive many emails back and forth with them... same thing. No refund after 3 days policy. I never claim or book using the voucher and that company out of reach. Probably never know they have this deal. They are selling empty promise that never work. And then refuse to give back the money or even credit. Nothing back. It's a scam. Beware!
Groupon obviously does not vet the companies they are recommending to their customers. I was just put in a very dangerous situation in South Florida. I was actually given a massage by a man who was NOT a massage therapist. I am shocked. It was an illegal business and I have reported it to the police and also code enforcement. This was after I did as much research on the Day Spa as I could. I also had a horrible experience by a housecleaning company who has since closed their doors. Then another business left a message on their voice mail saying "if you've purchased a groupon, better get your money back...". I am thoroughly disgusted with Groupon and am closing my account. They know they were wrong because they actually charged back my $149 onto my credit card and they NEVER do that! I would rather pay full price then be referred to these disgusting companies that do not deserve my business.
Groupon sold me a membership to a gym, which turns out to have been closed for weeks. Then working through multiple "chat" sessions (as no human exists at Groupon) I was finally told that I could use my purchase towards another Groupon purchase. 1) I should be able to get a refund!... 2) They are still selling Groupon's for the closed gym, even after they "confirmed" that it was closed.
I would guess that a substantial portion of Groupon's profit is unused Groupons!

I just read some of the reviews and was about to think Ideel is a scammy site cause I purchased a boot and than gotten a shipment email letting me know my item has been shipped out so I went to the UPS website to track my package and nothing no status whatsoever. I contacted their support team by email days ago and than again yesterday and no response just a very prompt acknowledgement of my emails and that's it. I looked all over their website for a phone number but nothing listed that I find. I found their phone number in billing statement and just tried calling and what you know a recording saying they are busy assisting other customers and to leave your info so they can get back to you. This is definitely a scammy site if not they really need to get their $#*! together.

What is up with only selling a Groupon for Starbucks to those "special" people that have received an invitation? I guess I'm not special enough. Why send me the advertisement through my email, if I don't qualify for the Groupon? Why does Groupon want their users to feel excluded? I think this is a really poor marketing choice that Groupon and Starbucks is making that can't help but leave a bad taste in the mouth of their users towards both companies.

I got no ideas what this site is, I never signed on and I never did business with them, but they keep sending me email spams. So much spam I have to throw up most days. I cannot even understand why I unsubscribe 10 times and it does nothing.

Product clasp very poor quality. No safety features to keep unit from coming unclipped and falling off.
My unit fell off my wrist on day three while walking at a farmers market.

Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
