Groupon always has nice pictures, but after purchasing a number of Groupons, I learned that there is a catch every time. It is very rare not to find a catch! For example, I recently purchased a $50 Groupon for a meal for two, which did not mention that there was an additional $20 gratuity required. I am paying $70 dollars for a meal that was totally not worth it. Groupon leaves a lot of important details out and avoids putting negative reviews on their site. This is what scammers and poor businesses do. I'll stick to Yelp to getting food from now on, at least their reviews are more legitimate. Good bye Groupon! Never again!
I would like to report a scam situation with my purchase on groupon app. I purchased sunglasses through the groupon app that was marked (and is still marked) on groupon app as "Free Return". I received an item that doesn't really fit and would like to return it. When i purchased an item from my account on the app, it was clearly marked as "Free returns". Customer support team stopped responding my emails clearly ignoring my requests.
I had sent screenshot of the item listing page and actual purchase confirmation email that clearly show "Free return" - nothing works for this organization and they just disregarded and rudely ignored my requests.
I just really want to want you guys to be aware of

I purchased a large size male shirt for my husband after taking his measurements and using the Groupon sizing chart. I am a size 8 female and the shirt fits me! The shirt is made in China and I cannot get a refund. Very poor customer service and poor quality products.
Groupon charged me when I made no purchase. Trying to get to the bottom of the issue has been the worst "customer service" experience of my life. It is a joke. Live chat took 45 minutes and he ended with a phone number. The very phone number that has 2-3 hours wait times. If you leave your phone number for a call back... don't bother. I never got a return call! I got an email when I replied to the automated recap of my live chat with how crappy the service was with an offer to help. Over 10 emails later (each from a different individual and no continuity to the email trail - previous threads drop off) I have sent the same requested information 4 times, answered the same questions 5 times and am done! This is a joke and a big fat fail. BBB should be up their $#*!.
I really enjoy shopping on ideeli. Yes there are shipping delays and sometimes an item is out of stock - but their prices are AMAZING - truly the best online. I do agree with the other reviewers but you have to realize that when you get a deal that good that it is going to come with a few strings ie delays and the chance that they had say 50 bags yet 70 people clicked buy it now and at the same time and there systems get overloaded and they can run out of stock. Personally I think some buyers expectations are too high its a bargain website take it for what it is and have fun with it. If your in desperate need of an item - don't use the - they are obviously dropshippers and sometimes lines get crossed - but if your looking for bargains go for it.
I have been a loyal client with Groupon
For a few years now. Groupon does not allow one to go back to fix misspellings, after the respond to a client review has been sent. There system is very sensitive and will send your reply without you finishing your respond. This is very poorly managed.
I have used groupon a few times, my experiences are mixed, i have gotten good deals but also i had lost money for not being able to schedule appointments when I bought services, in other words I lost my money, sometimes the products or services are just what you paid for, so be aware
I had some booking date issues with a recent Groupon order that was through no fault of Groupon. As the error completely was due to my oversite. With this being said. Groupon still refunded me the entire cost and was super helpful and accommodating. My situation was resolved and refunded within 5 minutes. I will always look to book with Groupon moving forward.
If you are business owner please stay away from this company unless you want to cheap out your business and work for free. I wish i had never signed up for this sorry excuse for a business. It is a scam plain and simply. They also hold on to your payment and take out an extra 20% off so basically cheapen your business.
Groupon has a lot of great goods and services but the time it takes you to receive your order is horrible! It's too bad because I see a lot of things I'd order if I didn't think I'd have to wait so long!
I've had a very bad experience with one of the vouchers I bought from Groupon. The partner did not want to respect the vouchers terms and conditions and set some conditions of his own that ware not to my liking at all. Also he had a very aggressive attitude. Groupon should better chose who they work with, a filtering of the business would be indicated.
I have had no problems with Groupon customer service. I have always gotten a refund or credit when I needed it. I gotten several things I LOVE! They do need to get a better vendor for their email customer service and good chat line support. The email seems to be people from another country who don't do good customer service or don't understand what you are saying.
I've been ordering from Ideeli for many years & prior to this, I've been very happy. NOT so now! Merchandise arrived broken. I called about 15 times over the course of 10 days and NO ONE returned my calls? I sent 2 emails & am STILL waiting for a reply,
I purchased a bed in a bag and had the comforter in my bed for less then 2 months and it ripped. The fabric is so thin and flimsie it can not be sewn. Groupon states the have a 14 day return policy, but this type of product should last and hold up to everyday use. My last comforter was over 5 years old, and not one tear. Anyone else have a problem with inferior products that don't last?
Groupon used to be great and have a no hassle return policy. Now, however, you basically have to write a novel and argue for weeks with them to get a simple refund. It is completely ridiculous. I will never purchase another Groupon again.
I don't know what is with all of the negative reviews. I ordered a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses and I got them in perfect mint condition with all of the packaging 3 days early. I almost cancelled my order after reading what is written on this site, but I'm glad I didn't. It was a great price for a great product and it actually came early!
I had booked the hotel from Groupon and when I get to the hotel they said there is no reservation at all from Groupon but Groupon already took my money. I had nowhere to stay that night. Early morning I chat with them they said it's get a way deal so u can't get ur money back... I really upset about the service and had really bad experiences with them. If I could vote for ur 0 star I will do.
I have been sending emails almost every day since the issue for 2months straight with 1 only one email a day back from them...and they continue to act like they don't know what I am saying. I live in AZ someone from Texas used my groupon bucks and purchased water park tickets of $290. They now are saying I need to go to merchant to get email saying I can get refund. This had to be an inside job at groupon I am certain I am not the only one who got bucks stolen...and Groupon refuses to give back.
I refuse to ever again purchase or work with any company that does not offer 'real' person customer support. I guess Groupon got rid of their actual real person phone support because they were having too many complaints. That should tell us something. No matter, I refuse to talk anymore to any company that does not offer the same respect back to me of a real person to converse. To me that says they are just there to collect our money and not care about our concerns. Way not cool Groupon!
Since this merger occurred I have not been able to find a decent outfit on groupon. How could groupon buy ideeli with no plans of continuing on the brands stocked by ideeli. This is the worst decision ever. Please return to us ideeli.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
