Sign up should be straightforward and simple, but I got loops of errors and now they have my credit card #! Said I wasn't logged in right after I logged in, had to keep logging in, then my CC wasn't valid, then the friend I referred couldn't get logged in or get the daily deal, and I still have no coupons for anything. I think maybe a few people get a good deal and they say to h with the rest or any type of honest customer service. Probably a nightmare all around. For the amount of time I have wasted on this just today alone and the degree of frustration, I should have paid full price and saved myself the AGGRAVATION!
Bought from ideeli several times - the stuff is nice online, but the quality isn't great for the price. Got a plain cotton shirt for 19 dollars + 10 dollars shipping, to find out after a few washes that it shrank to a baby tee and lint/pills all over, now it looks like a rag, and i only wore it about 3x. And is there a reason why the shipping is 10 dollars flat fee? Compared to Jcrew and other retailers, I would not shop on ideeli.com any longer. Only had to buy something from there is because I bought a bunch of stuff, which wasn't what i expected so I had to return it (and paid extra return shiping) and had a running credit. Bleech..
So far 2/3 times it works the third time you loose your money. No guarantees so the site is like vega's. Its a gamble and like vega's the groupon always wins
My first time using Groupon there was an amazing deal on teeth whitening. I tried to pay with my Health Savings debit card, but I guess it could not be processed. I was pretty upset about missing out on the deal a few days later, but the folks at Groupon pulled some strings and got me the coupon despite being past the deadline. They seem like the kind of company who will really work hard to make things right with the customer and I will certainly stick with them!
Groupon claims to guarantee satisfaction or they will refund you without question. I purchased a groupon. I made a mistake thinking it was a different vendor than the one I was purchasing. After I received the groupon, I realized that I had made an error and asked them to return the groupon. They basically told me tough and have a nice day. I will never use them again, they do not uphold their guarantee.
Wouldnt recommend. They do cut slack on clothing and accessories, but their service is horrible. They say 14 days return, but read the fine print its from the day they ship. So by the time it gets to you, 10 days passed..

BUYER BEWARE. I ordered a hair dryer from Ideeli. It took a little longer to ship then I would have liked but I eventually got it and was happy with it. They then proceeded to ship me two more hair dryers I DIDN'T ORDER. Their customer service has given me the run around and has not reimbursed me for shipping these two items back to avoid being charged. It cost me $26 to ship back these two hair dryers that never should have been sent to me in the first place. This company is not professional and will screw you over!

TERRIBLE. I purchased two groupons and could not access them online. I had scheduled an appointment with the merchant that I purchased the groupon for, and they called me back stating that Groupon has not been paying them and that they're no longer able to afford doing free work. I called Groupon, and the guy was nice at first when I told him I can't access my groupon. He claimed he cannot find it on my transaction history and that I must not have purchased it.
Then he asked me for my card number. I gave it to him, and he went on to say that someone had already refunded the money earlier today and that the transaction should take about 10 days to appear at the amount of $30 to another card number. He said that I had given him the wrong card number. Turns out that was someone else's account. I was very concerned b/c I bought the groupon for $195!
Eventually, he was able to find the transaction, and he stated that again, someone had already refunded the money. This time, he's in a very defensive tone.
I asked him why I was refunded without notice, and he defensively stated that 5 minutes ago I had told him the problem and that I should already know what the problem is. He then collectively states, "Lasier Genie and Groupon somehow had a falling out, and now we will be refunding customers their money."
My guess is that they're cancelling the groupons and will be waiting for customers to contact them about their disappeared Groupons. This means that the people who don't contact them will be down money and probably won't even realize it.
This place is VERY disorganized, not honest, and I would think twice about trusting anymore of my money with these people. STAY AWAY and BEWARE!

If you are a business, Groupon is probably NOT for you. They are not upfront about the discounts they are REQUIRING you, the business to offer. If you do not (or cannot) offer a 50% discount, you cannot be a 'promoted deal', meaning that you are absolutely invisible to the public. There is NO listing of your offer on any portal of their website if it falls below 50%! They call this aspect a 'self promoted' deal- well thank you very much, but if I'm going to SELF promote, why would I pay Groupon 30% of that? (and 50% if one is pushed as the 'deal of the day').
When I called customer service, they were just plain old rude. I was told that anything less than 50% would not be good for their customers, so maybe I am not a good fit! The 50% off is a result of some board, which of course I could not talk to or escalate my concerns with.
Also, think of this: If they sell 100 of your offers, and only 70 are actually used- you are only getting re-imbursed for those 70. They are not paying you upfront for all of the services which they sold on YOUR behalf. This is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. If they are selling your services, you should be paid for every single sale, regardless of whether or not it is cashed in.
Groupon is not upfront with its terms. Nowhere does it talk about the requirement of discount being 50% to be a promoted deal, UNTIL you go through the long process of creating an account profile and getting activated.
I have been shopping with them for over 6 months. Great deals and good value. Customer service slow but efficient. I prefer them to all others because of the incredible deals I have been able to get.

Got a Barclays Wine coupon as a Christmas gift. It was purchased on Groupon for $25 and had a value of $75.
Barclay's Wine sent me this today:
"The membership is $129.90 and shipping fee is $19.95 so the total is $149.90 and after you Groupon discount your total that would need to be applied to a credit is $74.90. Hope this helps. If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know."
I'll let you know alright, as soon as I have and an extra $74.90 to blow on a bad deal
Don't use them, they take forever to ship, even miss their own "estimated ship time", they send the wrong items, make mistakes in billing, and have bad customer service. Do not use them because you will spend countless hours trying to resolve your problems with idiots who just don't care!

I ordered from the top 3 sample sites this holiday season (Ideeli, Rue La La, and HauteLook). I ordered from all 3 a couple days before Christmas. Rue La La impressed me the most thus far. I had my package by Christmas Eve! Had my post office been open I would have been able to have the gift for Christmas, but I happily picked it up the next available business day. The dress was great and I was impressed. Ideeli arrived about a week after I placed my order. Not too shabby. Once again, the dress was as described, HOWEVER, I also ordered a watch and the color on the website looked RED. They sent me a PINK watch. I nor my daughter wear pink. So we had to take one for the team on that. As it was non returnable. I have yet to even have my package from HauteLook even shipped! So they come in dead last.
Regarding Ideeli, the fact that their return policy is so strict, I can't continue to be a customer. I am deleting my account as of today. The lessoned I learned is to do business with companies that are about TRULY pleasing their customer base (ie ZAPPOS). While I don't dislike the company I won't be recommending them to my mom, aunt, daughter and girlfriends. All who are bigger shoppers than I am.
I purchased a golf deal on 14th dec, money taken out of account - no vouchers received, no satisfaction from e-mails. Sounds like robbery to me, disappointing xmas for those i bought the vouchers for
Clever - win / win idea. Allows business to discount when they have excess capacity for services (so it doesnt go unused... so they make a new loyal customer) and allows the consumer to get a deal and try something new.
It works! (Segway tour for 2 for $19. Four horseback riding lessons for $60.)
Legit merchants that have confidence in the value of what they are doing... cut their profit because they are optimistic you will like and be back!

I bought a Groupon Daily Deal, with the proviso that I could get a refund if I cancelled within 7 days as long as I hadn't redeemed the coupon. After receiving the coupon, the following day I decided that I was no longer interested in the deal and proceeded to inform Groupon via email on *******@groupon.co.uk because customer support on *******719 is non-existent.
Its now been 15 days and still no word from Groupon, still waiting for my refund. It is scandalous that such an outfit is allowed to do business.
My advise to anyone thinking of signing up with Griupon or getting the daily deal... PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
After a few good experiences with my groupons for smoothies and a bar I like, I had a really weird experience with my Groupon at a dinky spa and felt really ripped off. They were unprofessional and the place was actually dirty! The floors, the table. The massage was not what the pretty picture not he Groupon made it seem to be. Well, I emailed and got no response. I finally broke down and called them and got a real person who was really nice and refunded me with no hassle. I was still pissed after waiting to hear back through email and she credited me with some extra money in my account "goodwill" and was really nice to talk to. Really friendly and cool. I do think they're struggling to keep up with the volume, but if you can actually make contact they have awesome customer service. Really rare. Verizon is the only other company I feel this way about.
Like I said, they need to have people to get back to those emails! You can't ignore people! And I agree with others that they should check these places to make sure the deal is really a deal and not a ticket to go to a shady place where you feel ripped off even with a discount.
Phone service gets an A and I'm not just saying that because I got some credit from them. It was a nice surprise though. I think they're going through growing pains. The lady I talked to said her computer was running slow because the servers were so overloaded. If they can adjust to keep up and keep the deals legit, I'll keep using them.
Just received a pair of boots ordered for my wife. The shoes had definitely been worn before. The leather was scuffed and the soles dirty. Selling used items as new is absolutely unacceptable. Am tempted to contact NY Consumer

Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.

Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
