This company is so shady

This company is so shady. First of all, I think some of the merchandise they aseel are counterfeit and "designer" labels were sewn on by Ideeli. Second, do NOT buy into the Free shipping gimmick. TWICE I was promised free shipping and BOTH times I was charged the 9.95 shipping fee. Their customer service is a joke. They do not nothing to help you. You just keep e-mailing back forth with someone who seems to have the intelligence and reasoning capabilities of a cockroach. Never again. I am cancelling my membership.

Groupon IS a scam.

At least as far as their affiliation with Zynga and hosted links goes. Yes, the deals are legitimate inasmuch as you receive a redeemable coupon. Where the fraud takes place is in the come-on, the pitch, the incentive to do the deal in the first place.

I'm referring specifically to offers of Farmville cash credits for participation which NEVER materialize. Their customer service is horrid, non-responsive and completely fraudulent. I will not do business with them again, nor with any company utilizing their "services".

I operate a horseback trail ride company on a small resort and spa in Bodega, Ca. The Resort and I teamed up to run a Groupon add because my horses eat rain or shine and winter is slow money flow in the winter. Anyway I have had a HORRIBLE experience with this company! When the Groupon was posted online whoever designed the coupon put in that our customers could upgrade to " outlaw mode" and get a wild west shoot out and a bubble bath. This is something we do not offer ever! That makes if false advertisement, and last time I checked that is illegal! When we contacted Groupon about this problem they simply told us it was a joke, NOT FUNNY! Being a separate business I decided to try to run a separate Groupon ad for my business, well that did not work out. They sent me a rejection letter saying they were to busy and to try again later. No thank you, after hearing more and more people that are having these problems and more I will NEVER use or recommend Groupon to anyone!

I have found this website to be very good. Not only do they offer great deals, but their customer service is excellent. If there's a problem (not often) their reps are responsive and very helpful.

I got my 1st order and it was clothes. The wrong size (my fault) they took them back no prob online.
I decided to try them one more time for some brownies for my boyfriend. The sale info said they would not charge my card unless he submitted an order for the brownies. 35 dollars later they claim no returns on this item. OK but the shipping is another 20 DOLLARS FOR F@#$ING BROWNIES? Are they made of iron. Why would shipping a few tiny brownies be so high?
I am losing 35 bucks and nobody at ideeli cares! How are they saving us money? This is flat out robbery!
DON'T EVER ORDER ANYTHING HERE THAT CANNOT BE RETURNED, DON'T ORDER THE OVER PRICED BROWNIES OR COOKIES!

Hi, I am a business owner. At first, they approved my ad, and said it would run in a week. Then, 3 weeks later, I called them, and asked them where the ad was, and they said they would check into it. 2 weeks after that, they sent me an email announcing my store was "too small" for their site. The same week, they ran an ad for a store which features tea. My store is a bookstore of over 25 years. I guess it's how they perceive you online. Rick

I've had no problems with Groupon. I've purchased a few deals from them before. Got the deal in the timeframe promised. Orders were not canceled. I prefer them over LivingSocial. The Amazon gift card deal was a fiasco. Prefer Groupon.

Placed second order on 11/23/10, never received it. Got 5 Day Delay email a month after order, offered a $10 voucher I never received, no response to two separate inquiries, and was just told by the live customer service chat that my order was canceled because my credit card they charged 3 days later for a separate order was somehow declined. Cashing in voucher and checking out.

I placed my 1st order last week. I was reluctant after because I didn't know much about the site other than the great deals you can get. I ordered 2 pairs of black boots (over the knee and knee high). No one I know have used this site. I decided to search the reviews. After reading some of the experiences on here I was expecting the worst. I was told the order would ship between 1-29 and 2-2. I thought that was reasonable. To my pleasant surprise both pairs arrived today and were brand new. Today, when I was shopping Macys on-line I found the exact same pair/brand for $70.00 I paid $35.00! You can say i'm in shopping bliss! I will definitely be using this site again!

I purchased a groupon in November for a night stay at a Vancouver Hotel which had to be used by March 31,2010. I was hoping to use the coupon to attend a meeting which was changed to April 16th. I tried to cancel which groupon would not do - they said to give it as a gift to someone else if I couldn't use it. I then tried to book the hotel on 2 different dates which were "FULL". I would suggest not buying anything that you are unsure of as groupon does not honor the little box in the bottom of the screen which indicates Our Promise To You - Customers are everything just call us and we will refund - they NEVER refund - your money goes into a bank to be used for purchase of other offers. $149 is a healthy sum to be out of when not fullfilling their offer.

The copy writing of the daily groupon offer makes my SKIN CRAWL. Who writes like this? It's so overdone and obnoxiously proud of itself, that often I don't even read to the end or see if it's a deal I'd like to participate in; it's THAT BAD.
Seriously, get someone else to write your daily copy. IT IS HORRIBLE

Purchased a coupon for a manicure through groupon, the money came out of my bank account but I have never received the coupon. I am in the midst of a battle with groupon to try and recoup my money. They say they never received it and I should take it up with my bank. Plus they take weeks and several reminders to get back to you when you complain. DO NOT USE GROUPON, ITS A SCAM!

I like shopping a lot! But, usually I prefer to shop in actual malls and shopping centers, especially when it comes to clothing. Purchasing a dress online was something new for me. I was really excited to discover ideeli web site - the variety of clothing was awesome and prices were great too. However, I was worried to buy anything, so I decided to go to reviews. And I was shocked - most of the people who had an experience with ideeli weren't happy at all! So, I was thinking to myself, should I really do that, but in the same time I loved the dress that was on the web site, and I decide to give it a shot. I did order my dress, and guess what I didn't have any shipping issues, or my dress was a wrong size or color. It is just perfect! I'm glad that I decided to try ideeli, and I liked it! I think I will use this online store for my future purchases!

Don't ever trust Groupon.com

My 1st voucher was for a restaurant valid every day of the week during 3 months. When the voucher was sent it said suddenly that the voucher can't be used on weekends. ( that was a problem)... anyway... I called a week after and the restaurant told me they are fully booked due to xmas... I should call back in January. I did that and was told that they are fully booked with Groupon users til the end of the voucher. So the restaurant manager recommended me to call my bank and ask them to do a chargeback. He also told me he had lots of groupon customers complaining and ending up calling their banks.

2nd trial was for teeth bleaching... 80 GBP. The booking number on the voucher was wrong so there was no way of getting hold of the dental company. They send a revision of the number 1 week later. I called the dentist and was told I could get an appointment within 6 months. I tried to cancel the voucher... no reply for 1 weeks. After 1 months I was told I won't get my money back but I can have groupon credits ( who would want that after 2 failures out of 2?).

I canceled my account...

As a business owner, I can tell you that Groupon and other companies like it are laughing all the way to the bank... but that will end pretty soon. Yes, you must discount your product or service by AT LEAST 50% to be featured and they get your deal and company in front of thousands of people. They take 50% of the sales. We have used these companies to generate lots of foot traffic into our locations, but have found that these customers are hard to convert into long term customers and difficult to cross-sell to. They are tire kickers. Good for them, though. The consumer wants their great--practically free--deal. However, Groupon and their competitors are basically killing the geese with the golden eggs. The way it works is like complete exploitation of hardworking business owners who are trying to offer something sustainable. They'll tell you the price they want to offer your deal at. If you balk because selling 700 of them at that price will cause you to lose money, you will see that they run the deal with your competitor--causing a HUGE dent in the demand. This is not good for you or your competitor--who also most likely feels totally held over a barrel if they don't do this deal--because someone else will. It's gotten to feel like price fixing, blackmail, etc. The good news is that I totally believe this situation is not sustainable. While our company (a medical spa) has always treated the clients we service through Groupon and the like with the absolute same respect we treat our other clients, I can see through the bad reviews that this is killing merchants and irritating consumers. I will do a little happy dance when Groupon etc is extinct.

I love this site - although since xmas it all seems to have gone tits up! Because they have got so popular and some of the venues offering the deals are unable to cope with the demand people are loosing out and having their deals cancelled.

Groupon will refund you - so I think your money is safe - however their customer services is non excisitant - their phone number is not working at the moment and the reply to emails is slow- your best off posting your complaints on face book - you will get an answer sooner that way!

Its a good site that unfortunatly has got to big for its boots and needs a big overhall to be able to keep up!

I signed up for ideeli without reading the reviews. Then I saw all of these terrible things about how people hadn't gotten the right product, it had taken forever, yadda yadda yadda.

But... I was hooked by the prices so I tried it anyway. I've bought about 8 things from Ideeli.com on 4 separate occaisions. Each time, they have not only gotten my order correct, but it has also come around 4-5 days after I purchased it, which is waaaaaaay before it said it was going to arrive online. I've now decided to only shop at ideeli instead of gilt and hautelook, as I have also ordered items from those sites, and have yet to get them.

Wow, I wish I have read these reviews before I placed an order. I am just utterly surprised by the WORST customer service I have ever received. I placed an order ONE MONTH ago. I still have not received the item and sent two emails inquiring about the status of my order. I am speechless by the response I have received from them that does not address the issue nor apology for the such delay. The email response stated that it may take longer wait time because they provide high quality items. I have seen the same item on Nordstrom for similar price so they are not selling items for much cheaper price. So what service are they providing better? Longer wait time, not cheaper items, and HORRIBLE customer service. NEVER AGAIN will I place an order from this website. I HIGHLY do not recommend this website, AND I will make sure all my friends know about this clearly.

This is the second time I have ordered from ideeli.com. The first time, I ordered a dress, and it came quick, correct size, and I was thrilled. I have looked at the site periodically throughout the year since then, and right before Christmas found a mirror. I placed my order and thought I was done. Then, a different day, I starting searching for other websites similar to this one, sample sales. In doing this, ic ame across this site- and started reading the HORRIBLE reviews about thesite. I was shocked! I crossed my fingers and paryed my mirror would arrive safe, and in one piece. First, I received the email about the 5 day delay, which I had read about. Of course the 5 days took more like ten. Then, my order finally arrived yesterday, a month after ordering. I carefully laid the box on the floor, and started tp slide my mirror out of the box- and the thing completely fell apart. The glass, surprisinlgy was the ONLY thing intact. The mirror is in shambles. After reading everyone elses reviews abouyt their TERRIBLE customer service, I decided to take it is a $40 loss and lesson learned. I did write the customer service people, but feel it would be more headache, to pay for shipping back, and deal with this company for god knows how long. I choose to maybe fix the mirror with a lot of glue and nails, and never, never, order from this company again.
