Bought the mattress groupon (pay $75 for a $300 voucher). I read all the fine print and felt that I understood (did not apply to online orders, delivery charges). I went into the store and chose my mattress set that was listed at $699 and on sale for $399. The employee advised me that the mattress was not in the store but he could have it delivered to me or I could arrange to pick it up the next day... or I could go to the other store to pick it up. I told him we had the truck and wanted it then and I wouldn't mind going to the other store to get it. Great, he said and offered to do the paperwork and call them to let them know I would be on my way. I handed him my groupon and he then told me that he would take the $300 off the pre-sale price and my cost would be $399 plus tax. He further advised me that although it does not say on the groupon that it does not apply to sale prices, they do not honor the voucher off sale prices. That being said, if I had walked out with that mattress, I would have paid an extra $75 than had I not bought the stupid groupon. I told the employee that they were running a complete scam and he said "I only work here". Will never buy a groupon again.
Groupon is a scam. I purchased a product for medical service. I mad an appt for the service 2 weeks out, I took time off the the procedure. I received a call 1 week later saying that the dr did not do procedures on the day I made the appointment. The deal did not say it was limited to one day a week. I contacted Groupon and 1 week later I still not have received a response from groupon. Groupon and Totalmedsolutions are nothing but scam artist.
Used them for the first time for a deal on some earrings. Got a great deal and a great product!
I paid Groupon $178 for two automobile detailing "deals, and I ripped off. The Groupon deal was for detailing of my two cars by ProWax Auto Detailing, a fim supposedly in Philadelphia Pa. Sadly, ProWax Auto Detailing ignores phone calls and emails, and appears to be a scam artist. Groupon has similarly ignored my complaints and has sent me form emails with alibis for why Groupon cannot respond soon (probably it is overwhelmed with complaints).
I never had a problem with Ideeli until I mistakenly mailed them an item that I mean to return to another site. Getting anyone to tell me where this item might be in the warehouse would probably take an act of God. Countless emails and requests for assistance have gone ignored. Their "customer service" telephone number is an answering machine that is ignored. I can only imagine where my $400+ item is, but I would not be surprised if someone took it home with them.
I thought that this was a great site. I ordered a lot of clothing and had to return a great deal of it because it was either unexpectedly poor quality (paper-thin cashmere), or too big or too small. Even though I had never once opted for the store credit option, and had always opted for a refund, they are holding on to $1200 of my money! I have sent them an email about this a month ago and only after I sent a repeat email did they send a note saying they would be replying within a couple of days. More than a week later, still no reply and still no refund.
In many ways, I get the feeling that the customer service dept is trying, but when they actually steal $1200 of your money, it is so over-the-top. I was hoping that they would come through so that I don't have to start figuring out how to get my money back by what? Reporting them to the attorney general? Taking them to small claims court? It will take a lot of effort to even figure out what to do and I totally resent it.
By the way, their online record of one's account is completely bollixed up. It says that things have shipped when they have been cancelled, and many other problems. It is completely unreliable in terms of reflecting what is actually going on in your account.
It is really confusing. I was so appreciative when they allowed me to return things that had been termed "nonreturnable", but it turns out to not be much of a favor if they get their merchandise back but they keep your money.

I have to agree with other reviewers... sometimes great products and good prices, but what does it matter when you never receive the item you ordered?! I ordered a watch that was for some reason non-returnable... in the picture, it looked small, was not listed as a man's watch... on a site that sells mostly womens things, i never thought that what i received would be this large, bulky mans watch that I will never wear! When I inquired about returning it as it was not properly labeled, I was told it was non- returnable! $160 down the drain! In 2010 I ordered a set of bamboo bowls... two or the five bowls arrived, after quite a delay. I waited awhile to see if the others would come before contacting customer "service". When I finally did, I was told I had to return the bowls I had received to receive a refund... they were out of stock of the other items I had ordered. But I wanted the bowls, I'd ordered them for a reason! Despite being on the phone w the cs woman for quite awhile, she still couldn't understand the concept of refunding me for what I didn't receive. I was flabbergasted when she said that I would only be refunded for the portion of the order that I sent back! I yelled How can I send you things I never received! What an idiot! I ended up keeping the 2 bowls & eating my loss. Incredibly terrible customer "service". I'm SO glad to see I'm not alone... if I had known it wasn't just my bad luck with ideeli I would've made a bigger stink!
Hi Minka,
Thank you for sharing your comments on SiteJabber. I appreciate your feedback, and I am very sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced.
Our return policy is based on one of our primary goals: keeping our prices as
Low as possible for our members. For that reason, no returns, credits or exchanges will be accepted on final sale items.
Our prices would have to be significantly higher in every category in order to accept returns on these items, which are expensive to administer. (Keep in mind that, even in full-price stores, final sale items are often non-returnable.) Instead, we’d rather pass those savings on to you as part of the ideeli shopping experience.
We believe that our return policy strikes a good balance that considers all the needs of our members. We also strive to be extremely transparent when it comes to letting you know what is and is not returnable, providing information from the first time you click on an item to your order confirmation.
And I am very sorry to hear that your bamboo bowls order arrived incomplete. I'd like to make that right. Can you please send me a message with your order details? I'd be happy to credit you for the items you did not receive.
I look forward to assisting you further.

Worst online site EVER! Save your money and spend it anywhere else but here. Most of the women "styles" are hideous, trampy and last years, you can get better deals at your local stores from the clearance rack, plus you can try them on. They have such a short return policy that by the time your purchase actually arrives (weeks or longer) you've just about missed the return date. I have so much CRAP that I could not return it's really sad. I had a credit balance and I really think their computer system is not right. I would buy less than what my credit balance was but yet my credit balance would go to zero! Yes I did send an email, NO response. There have been a few times I never even received credit for something I returned. I would have to check on it and then email to find out what the problem was. I was always told, "Sorry, we had a kink in our system." Makes me wonder what if I didn't check and send the email, would they ever have credited me back? I have wasted so much money on not being able to return things that didn't fit correctly or I didn't like. You have something like 14 days from the day THEY SHIP from their warehouse, so you don't actually have 14 days from when you actually get the items. I really wish I would have read the reviews before I joined.
Hi CW,
Thank you for taking the time to share your comments on SiteJabber. I sincerely appreciate your feedback.
I am so sorry for the trouble you experienced with your returns. Please know that while we do have a 14 Day Return Policy, we understand that members may receive their packages with very little time to try on the item and make the return, and we will gladly accept returns within 14 days of when the order has been received.
And I'm terribly sorry that you did not receive a response regarding your credit balance. I would be happy to assist you. Please send me a message with your member ID, and I will gladly look into this for you. Additionally, if you have any outstanding returns, I'd be happy to check the status for you. Please rest assured that it is not our intent to not credit members for their returns.
Thank you again for sharing your thoughts, and I will be on the lookout for a message from you.

Wow I bought a bunch of things on ideeli, but do not plan to do so anymore!
I bought a Jessica Howard dress for $74.94. It took AN ETERTNITY to arrive, and when the damaged, opened box finally arrived, it was 2 SIZES SMALLER than i odered! I immediately contacted live chat who was of no help, and then i tried calling and got a phony "everyone is helping other customers" lie of an answering machine. I do not want a refund - i want my dress! And i ordered it to wear to a function in 2 weeks, so I really want it soon. This is rediculous. I want to speak to a real person on the phone.
Hi Celia,

I bought a quad bike for my son for Christmas through groupon.es and a company called import3000.es. On christmas day he received it as a present, and I filled it with petrol. The tank leaked all over the drive, my son cried for ages, and told me it was hi worst Christmas ever. I took it to a motorcycIe repair shop a few days later whom told me the bike was broken and I would need to buy a new tank and pay for fitting it. I got in touch with Groupon to get a refund, which they refused stating that they would not consider a refund as the bike was purchased from their partner, and that they were a middleman, although I paid Groupon for the bike. They gave me details of their partner whom would not reply to my emails or phone calls. After numerous emails to Groupon, their customer service representative Nadne told me baically to go away as I was wasting their time continuously writing to get my money back, which would never happen. The bike now stands in the garage and I feel totally ripped off as Groupon will not get involved at all, I will never use them again, awfull, absolutely awful.
Would not recommend Groupon. The items from deals I have purchased have taken a long time to arrive. It was painfully difficult to chase them up. Emails were not responded to and if I tried to telephone it was 40 minutes hanging on on 2 occasions without ever getting through. Goods you think are local are not. I purchased watches for Christmas gifts that ended up being sent from Hong Kong, were damaged in the post and I had to return them overseas at my expense for a refund (that excluded my $15 return post cost) that took months to arrive. Also, they can send you 2 or 3 emails in a day sometimes which is annoying and clogs up your emails even more. You unsubscribe and then someone signs you up without your consent because they get a cash bonus and you are back on the merry-go-round. Save your money & time. Big thumbs down from me and it is great to be rid of the temptations of stuff you don't need!
I have purchase a voucher for the hydroteck shower water filter ref No; 11/4814

I'm what you call a Groupon junky. I buy A LOT of coupons and try out a variety of different business at a heavily discounted rate. I have to say that predominately my experiences have been very positive. The only negative experience that I had has been with one hair stylist (I don't remember the name) who simply refused to honour the coupon for a manicure that was included in the price so I was forced to get a refund. The refund process was painless, I email Groupon customer service and explained to them the situation and they immediately refunded the full amount on my credit card. It was as simple as that. More recently, I purchased a Groupon for fitness classes and I had a blast. For $20, I got 30 classes and an opportunity to try a bunch of studios using one pass. Thank you Groupon and MetaBody! I have tried out other deal sites and I have to say that I had problems with a few of them, because they don't properly screen their merchants and the refund process was none existent as they simply gave me the runaround until I threatened to contact my credit card company. Overall, I give Groupon 4 stars! I would have given it 5 stars, had it not been for that one experience I had with the hairdresser.
I have researched some prices and what you see on Groupon is not always the cheapest. Moreso, the hassle of trying to book a convenient date or for refunds are not worth it for the sake of saving a few coins. Groupon is good for the unemployed as they're always available bug for professionals like myself, I don't recommend them.
Groupon's great until you have a problem. Paid £150 for a mattress 3rd November. I asked for my money back 27th December as I still hadn't received the mattress 2 months after ordering. Groupon agreed to refund but I am still waiting 5 months after paying for the mattress. Groupon have emailed numerous times promising to 'escalate my case' again and get the refund processed but I am just being fobbed off. I am now going to have to make a claim from my credit card company. Shame as I had used Groupon loads of times before and used to check it every day. Just another massive company out for all they can get :(
They really have amazing deals! I never buy anything expensive On the site just incase. I always research the place for the deal first which I recommend everyone to do because I have come across some places with horrid reviews. If you do your research and read all the details you can make an educated decision on whether you want that deal or not.
Groupon is horrible.
I used to love buying things on groupon, but my recent purchase from groupon made me never gonna to use it again.
I bought a couple deals for outdoor activies, such as rock climbing and archery class and was planning to use it, but due to car accident, i was not able to do those activities, therefore i requested the refund. I tried to call groupon, but they rejected my requests. They told me there is NO REFUND what so ever unless there is ''UNSOLVABLE'' issue with the business. I didn't even know what they defined as unsolvable issue. In addition, they have the worst customer service ever. I was yelled by the customer representative and also the supervisor. I would never ever buy anything from groupon again. So if you want to buy groupon deals, THINK TWICE.
I purchased Diode Laser Hair Remove on 2/13/12. Just received email today that I apparently did not "respond" to an email sent from Groupon asking me to update this order and it was being cancelled. I called customer service and was told that the laser had not been FDA approved and I could have received a substitute one but I apparently did not respond in the time limit that was set forth in an email I I supposedly received Feb 28th explaining this. I looked back through all my emails, my junk folders, deleted folders and inbox and there was no email sent from Groupon stating that there was anything wrong with the order. I asked if I could still be sent the substitute laser and was told "NO" - I had missed the deadline sent in this fictitious email sent to me. I am extremely disappointed in Groupon. This is NOT good customer service. Good customer service would have been making sure I received a substitute product and was happy with my purchase and experience with Groupon. In a time when Groupon is being copied by many other similar type companies, it is a shame that they are not choosing to stand out from the rest by providing excellent customer service.
Ideeli is VERY hit and miss. Their customer service is NONEXISTANT and they never seem to know what is really going on when you contact them. On a recent order this month, they took money out of my account and I have yet to receive a tracking number. When they first opened they were actually falsely representing items, for example they had a Michael Kors Kind Duvet set they were selling which I ordered and I only received the duvet no shams, which a set normally consist of. They later told me they were always only selling the duvet. Well Ideeli, why would you advertise it as a duvet set? It's things like this that give the site such an element of shadiness. Despite that incident, I continued to shop there and 75% of the time they get it right, but their margin of error is getting larger. I would not recommend this site to my worse enemy and after this last fiasco of my money being taken with no tracking number and no product in hand, i'm finished with them!
Hi Nikki,
I am so sorry to hear about the trouble you have experienced. Please know that it is not our intent to deceive our customers and if you receive an item you've ordered and feel it is not as advertised on our site, we will gladly accept a return of the item for a full refund.
Also, I would be happy to follow up on your missing order for you. So that I may further assist, please send me a private message with your user id and order number. I'll look into it right away. Thank you!

Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
Groupon is the largest "daily deal" site, selling vouchers for discounted local experiences and services such as restaurants and spas, as well as travel packages, shopping, and a number of other items. Vouchers are purchased upfront and typically must be redeemed by a certain date, after which time Groupons expire. To businesses Groupon markets itself as a way to drive new customers. Groupon is a public company (NASDAQ: GRPN) and is based in Chicago, IL.
Hi Jessica,
Thank you for sharing your feedback on SiteJabber. We're trying our best to locate your item, but please know this is outside the realm of our normal business structure.
