Placed an order on 26th Sept 2014, not received it yet. But they say it was delivered on 7th Oct 2014. Following it up for more than a month now, no result till date. Worst customer care, be it email or call. The courier company from which the courier was sent has no customer support no or email id to trace the courier.
2 weeks ago I bought tickets from group on from a advertisement in my email. The 2 tickets to the PBR in Chattanooga cost me 70$. I never got a confirmation but the money was removed from my checking account. I could find no way to contact them and therefore had to repurchase the tickets 2 days before the event. I of course did not purchase from group on and immediately got a confirmation number and information on how to print the tickets at home. As I look at my bank statement today I see the charge from group on but again no way to contact them. I will certainly never purchase anything again from group on
I had an unauthorized charge to my account for 4 tickets to wonderworks in which i did not purchase. After discovering I didnt have enough money in my acount to pay a bill I immediately got in contact with customer service and they told me they couldnt help me becuase it had been past the three day cancellation policy. How am I supposed to cancel the voucher for something I didnt even know Was there?! I will never use this company again!
Buca di Beppo was very expensive for two people. Okay my fault for not doing more research. My husband and I love leftovers so what the neck. $90 later food was not any better even when I tried doctoring it at home. Would never ever eat here again. Chicken Parm. And Chicken Alfredo was our two picks. Olive garden even Fazolis had more flavor
I used Groupon because they were giving a discount on Cosco and the deal was, pay $60 and receive $40.00 discount card within two weeks. That was a lie, it has been over 4months I haven't received anything, I will be canceling my membership with Cosco before the renewal date it's just bad business for Groupon to advertise a incentive under false pretenses even though $40.00 isn't a lot it's the principals.
The majority of items for sale sale on Groupon are brand new, and well worth every penny, as I have seen many of these same items going for a lot more on other sites, or even stores. I have used groupon for about 2 years now. As long as you read the description fully, as some items, such as smart phones, are remanufactured, or refurbished. But, they fully stand behind every purchase with a money back guarantee, which I had to use once with no issue. So, I decided to try getting a Galaxy S5, as their cost, with a new battery, and samsung charger/USBcord, was less than my deductable to have my old phone's camera repaired. I have had no problem with that phone whatsoever, and I now use my old one with no Sim card as a Wifi, game or Ipod type device.
Groupon is yesterdays fad in my opinion. I rarely find anything worth buying. It seems as if the majority of the buisnesses who used to run groupon deals just run the deals themselves. I used to be a big "grouponer", now even browsing the site seems like a waste of my time.
We bought a mystery getaway deal from groupon for four of us! No wonder it was a mystery and sold at the price it was! It was a company called https://weekenderbreaks.wufoo.eu/forms/groupon-mystery-deal-by-weekender-breaks/
They would cal you and tell you all the details and give you literally 40mins to decide, if you ask for other destinations or flight time costs you more!
The hotel was meant to be 3*, when we reviewed it online, had 2*, worst reviews ever and was more like a hostel than a hotel. Flight times were ridiculous, stupid o clock in the mornings. The airport was an hours drive away and not the 5mins one... just appalling companies can fib away and get away by conning people! NEVER EVER buy anything mystery related!
I purchased 2 massage vouchers from Groupon.com.au. It listed three phone numbers to call to book the massage. 2 wks after receving the voucher, I decided to book the massage. Two of the three telephone numbers have been cancelled. The third number says they are too busy to answer the call, and to leave a message. I have left multiple messages. They do not reply. I think it is likely that the business may not exist in the first place, and that they have listed with Groupon. Then when they have received 50% of the total payment from Groupon after the conclusion of the deal they shut up shop (if they were ever open in the first place) and have just pocketed many thousands of dollars. I expect many other "new" businesses to do the same, and therefore the number of these scams are going to keep increasing. All i have to do is register a business name, have an address, set up the groupon deal, and pocket the money and close up shop.
I was scammed. I bought a groupon for some cake pops and when I went to place the order, the lady informed me that I had to pay a $25 delivery charge. Ummm, no way am I going to pay $25 for you to delivery cake pops. I asked her if I could pick them up and she said it was impossible because she would be out delivering and the warehouse she was in was not set up for pick ups. I'm never purchasing another groupon again.
Got an email this morning that I had tried to purchase over $400 worth of merchandise from Groupon. I called them to let them know it was fraudulent and they asked me what I wanted them to do about it! I explained that I knew I needed to change my password but they needed to be informed that there was fraudulent activity. The gal then proceeded to tell me I had made an accidental "pocket purchase." I said that wasn't possible so she put me on hold to go check with her supervisor. Yep, they agreed with her - I had made a pocket purchase. Ummm…not even remotely possible. I would have had to pocket enter my pass code to unlock my phone, pocket click the folder where the app is, pocket click the app, pocket select 3 items and then pocket confirm and pocket enter my 8-character password. Yeah, I don't think so!
I do not understand why they partner with business that do not make good on their deal. If they partner with a business they are essentially endorsing that business. Their business model will not sustain itself unless they begin to better scrutinize who they partner with. My last purchase has completely soured me on this site because the business (Nuttyguys.com) won't ship my product. In Groupon's defense they said they won't issue a refund but they would call the buiness on my behalf. Shame on me for not reading the reviews on Google before purchasing. I highly recommend consumers go to sitejabber or google reviews before purchasing on Groupon.
Cute stuff, good deals, but most websites I use have free shipping and I receive items usually within a week. I placed an order for 4 pairs of sandals on the 20th of June, I was shocked when it said that the items will be shipped between 11-17 July. Summer in my city doesn't last very long! I should have just canceled the order at that point. Anyhow, on the 15th of July, one of the items is shipped. The rest still not shipped even though its the 18th. I asked customer service and they say the rest of the items will "most likely" be shipped today. Never going back to this site.
So I purchased some Drepowerbeats3, they charge up until 90 days. Right when their warranty expires, so does the charge. They don't have a serial number, Apple/DreBeats says they are not theirs - FAKE products being sold by Groupon! They gave me the finger. Dre? Why are you allowing this to happen? Stealing our hard earned money to buy knockoffs of the Dre/Apple brand and everyone sitting around like WTF!
Groupon is a SCAM! Do NOT buy anything from them. I ordered a clarisonic for $150 and 5 months later it completely stopped working for no reason. When I called customer service they said that it was past the 14 day return mark and they couldn't do anything to help me. So basically I was screwed out of $150 and I'm stuck with a broken product. TERRIBLE customer service and overall a complete SCAM
This site is absolutely unprofessional and disappointing. Their delivery is a joke. What is that bs they are doing with transfering packages from UPS to USPS. If I wanted a $#*!ty USPS delivery I would not pay a whopping $10 for it. My package was scheduled to arrive on Dec 15th, sure enough it got transfered to my local post office. Christmas and Hannukah are here and I have no package. Is it lost, stolen, never sent? Who knows! The live chat people over on ideeli don't know anything and can't locate my package! What did I pay $10 delivery charge for? So it can get lost? On the holidays no less? And it's not the first time either. Ideeli either needs to change the way they do business/delivery or they will be fast out of business! By the way, I live in NYC, there is no reason a packge should take two weeks to get delivered after being sent!
Hi Fashion,
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and I'd be happy to investigate the status of your missing package. To clarify, for most packages, we use a combination of UPS and USPS services so that your order can be delivered 6 days a week, including Saturday. I'm so sorry there seems to be a mishap with your delivery. Can you please send me the order details so I can look into it? Thank you.

Groupon Users fail to realize when they get a big discount on spa services, their therapist is only getting paid MINIMUM WAGE for that service. SO DON'T BE CHEAP when it comes to the gratuity! Most therapists and technicians provide the best experience possible for you, this is a form of advertising remember. The owners and Therapists take a big hit, hoping to gain your trust and your business. Tip on the regular price and stick to the 15 to 20% rule. If you have a gripe with the front desk, take it up with them, Don't skip the gratuity to your therapist, it is not their fault!
I was unable to use a Groupon purchase that I mistakenly purchased for a different city, I did not ask for a refund, only a credit to use somewhere else, their customer service is not good and they failed to assist what had been a previously satisfied customer.
My very first experience at groupon I purchased tickets to concert and accidentaly purchased for wrong location, I tried calling to refund the tickets same da day and i couldn't talk to anybody because they were closed at 5... I also tried sending an emailand thier website wasnt working. So i called first thing in the morning and turns out you could only refund same day, which seems wrong because they should have staff answering phones until midnight... they didnt even give me a credit. I will never purchase anything on groupon again.
I had paid for a hotel in New York for the weekend. I live in Ohio an unfortunately there was a huge snow storm coming through the midwest to the northeast. They were advising people not to travel. I had spoken with someone from the hotel an they said they didnt have a problem with me changing our reservation to the following weekend. I however had to get in contact with groupon. I went back an fourth with them all weekend one person would tell me one thing another would tell me something different. They were rude an ended up telling me there was nothing they could do. They weren't gonna do anything about it even though the hotel was fine with it. So needless to say they kept my money. I could totally see them saying no if i was wanting my money back. I'm just really disappointed cause i have been a great cutomer an now i won't use them again.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
Groupon has a rating of 1.6 stars from 5,286 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Groupon most frequently mention customer service, credit card and fine print. Groupon ranks 250th among Daily Deals sites.
Hi Sims,
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave your feedback on SiteJabber. We're sorry that not all your items have shipped right away. The reason our ship dates are sometimes later than normal is because we do not hold lots of inventory in our warehouses. This keeps the prices lower for our members and allows us time to receive the items from our vendors. The ship windows are an estimate of when the orders will arrive from the vendors plus the time it takes to organize and ship them out to our members. When a shipment arrives late from a vendor, we try as hard as we can to make up the time but occasionally the items are shipped outside the ship window by one or two days. We're truly sorry for the delay; if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Best,
