I purchased a voucher that I decided not to use. Groupon refused a refund and I was issued credits. I used the credits to to get a gift for someone. I gifted the voucher and closed my account over the matter. The merchant refused this voucher, and now Groupon is stating "policy" of a deactivated account in order to keep MY MONEY.
I am owed $66.75.
Instead of reasoning, they just kept stating their criminal "policy" when I took the case to BBB.
HORRIBLE customer service. Takes them forever to respond to your customer service questions. Also takes them too long to ship out the item & when the day comes when they should ship it... you get notified that the item is out of stock! WTF?!?! I cancelled my order before it got shipped out. I will never deal with them again.
In the groupon small print it says they will not mail to an Alaska PoBox, but after trying to redeem the wines.com voucher it turns out they will not deliver to Alaska period. Groupon did not have any interest in fixing the small print which to me spells fraud.
I ordered a dress, and it was shipped very quickly (ahead of schedule). The only problem was that the color was way off than what was pictured on the website. Normally if the color was a little off, it wouldn't bother me, but this was a much darker green instead of a softer, jade green, and green can go horribly wrong!
It was marked as not returnable, as is most of their merchandise. However, I immediately contacted them within a couple hours of it being delivered to me, and the Live Chat member was nice enough to accommodate me and e-mailed me a prepaid return label and I will get a store credit. Sure, it would have been much better to be able to get a refund, but I'll take the credit.
This was my first order, and although it didn't work out, I am willing to give them another shot. My experience with their service wasn't bad. There are many great deals to be found on their site. It's a shame this dress didn't work out, b/c it really is a great dress, but the color is just off.
I have same problem with groupon; paid the money, did not receive my coupon for ' days already. And since I am leaving this city now i willl not be able to use the coupon, so waste of money. DONT BUY ON GROUPON if you need the coupon soon. You will lose your money. Maybe this is how they make eactual profit. I just lost 80 dollars to them
I have spent hundreds and hundreds of $ w groupon. In the beginning I was comfortable with knowing I was supported in my purchases. However I have over 500$ of groupons that are expired or merchant closed etc. I can not get anything resolved w this company. I do not suggest giving them any money or buisness
I booked 3 different hotels through Groupon.com for my trip. I am from Canada and booked the hotels to stay in, in Canada. There is nothing that states the price is in U.S. Dollars. When I got my visa bill I was charged in U.S. Funds. Presently the exchange rate is 1.30 for every U.S. Dollar. When I called Groupon to ask why I was charged U.S. Dollars they said if I read the fine print I would have seen the statement about U.S. Dollars. I have been on Amazon, Hammachler Schlemmer, and Costco sites that all have Canadian and U.S. Sites. If I inadvertently was in their U.S. Site there was Warning that the site was U.S. Dollars. My complaint to Group On was solved with "read the fine print". Will never use the Canadian or U.S. Site.
I used to use groupon for lots of local services in my town. I haven't used it for 4-5 years and purchased 2 slots for a sensoryi-deprivation tank. After the purchase, I tried to find the phone number and address of the place and there was no reference on who to contact. No website, no names, no answering service or machine to take messages (mailbox is full), no emails... It was then I realized that I may have been scammed! There was a reference to a building location, so I jumped in the car and drove there. Turns out, Groupon will not update the contact information for the service (phone number, names, addresses, website, general information). The guys on location said it is Groupon then who gets to pocket the lost funds. I am horrified! Not the exchange that I remember long ago and I will not be using them again... ever. The Groupon concept was unique but they have no sustained crediblity after this incidence.
I purchased a routine Groupon to detail my car and canceled it before it expired due to COVID-19. I requested that the credit be returned to my credit card given the circumstances of the world and they flat out refused. This company has no compassion. They say on the website that they are trying to be flexible with people given the circumstances, but that is not the case at all. They suck. Groupon, you suck. I will use my dumb "Groupon Bucks" and then never purchase from you again. Your support agents need more training and you all need to go out of business.

I purchase a coupon thru Groupon for an oil change at Mountain View Tire & Auto Service, at their Burbank, CA location. I had an appointment for 1/30/2024 at 2PM. I got there on time and was total I'd have to wait for up to 4 hours (6 o'clock at night) Total them this was unacceptable and to cancel everything.
I've attempted to get a refund on the CC I'd used with Groupon. There are no phone numbers to reach Groupon, just file a complaint on their website and they'll get back to you within 30 days. The 30 days has since passed and have not received a reply.
I will never use Groupon again nor go to a Mountain
I do not recommend shopping from Ideeli.com. There are absolutely too many other sites with a similar concept who do an amazing job. I purchased twice from ideeli. I canceled both orders due to late shipping. My first order still had not shipped after 2 months after purchasing. My 2nd order still had not shipped even a month after. I order from hautelook and gilt and my items are shipped within a week of me placing the order It's truly not worth the hassle to dealing with ideeli.
Hi Lisa,
Thanks for providing your feedback. I'm so sorry to hear that you're feeling this way, as it is our goal to make your shopping experience as easy and convenient as possible. Please know that part of the reason we can offer such competitive prices is because we keep very little inventory and work directly with manufacturers and, authorized resellers. They ship to us, and then we ship to you. This can result in a longer wait time than you may be accustomed to, but it also ensures guaranteed authenticity, and our great prices. That said, would you be so kind as to provide your order number, or user id, so that I can look into your orders? If you'd prefer, you can also reach out to us at support@ideeli.com and we'd be happy to further assist.
Best,

I recently paid for a voucher from Groupon which I used to fulfill a pesonalized order from a merchant who ignored the personalized instructions possibly conflating them with another order.
The merchant was unresponsive to requests to correctly fulfill the order- what I received was worthless to me. Since the merchant was not interested in having the order returned I prevailed upon Groupon to intervene.
Groupon refused. I would assume that when Groupon contracts with a merchant there is some agreement between the two to engage in sound business practices as, due the partnership of the two companies, the actions of one reflect upon the other.
The customer is not always right but when s/he is Groupon ought to be an advocate for the customer.
There are a lot of complaints but I think groupon is good site for consumers. I live in NYC and I've seen great businesses advertise on Groupon. I'm not sure why people are whining about the fact that groupon takes whatever percent or that if a lot of people buy the deals they have to wait to use it. Media costs are btwn Groupon and the advertiser IMHO, so I'm going to trust the advertiser to know what they can and cannot afford to promote. And groupon shows you how many people buy the deal so if you are daunted by 1K people using a business then just don't buy it. I've found a lot of great places on Groupon and I've never had any problems with the site or with the businesses. However you should check up on the business before you buy their deal. Just cuz groupon puts something out there doesn't mean you can't be an educated consumer and research it first.
OMG, I wish that I did some research on groupon.com before buying stuff from them! They offere a 'great deal' on electric toobrush, and ordered 2 of them, trusting that that was really a good deal. I got the package from some unknown 'bling' brand that claimed a value of $200+ and they were selling it for $69.
Lesson learned. NEVER use Groupon.com EVER again.
I ordered from Groupon. They took my order and my money but never shipped it. I emailed them a couple days after it was supposed to have been delivered and was told it was being filled to be shipped. After a couple more days, and no updates, I called them -- and again was told it was in the process of being filled. The day after I called them I received an email that my order was canceled. I was informed I would be receiving a refund within 7 to 10 business days. Still waiting. Groupon appears to be a scam.
I will never deal with Groupon again, I had an account purchased a product through them and got charged and sent an order number out of a sudden my account was cancelled and I have tr to contact them no one really helped all they said they don't have my account! Though I have providead them with the order number and and shared the transaction activity! Worse app, worse website!
Just ordered a 2200 prada bag off site -- the pic did not have a removable strap which is unusual for type of bag (medium double pocket saffiano cuir). I asked about this and they assured me it was fine, just that it was a later style and shipped bag. Sure enough, they gave me the wrong bag! It was the large size, rather than medium they had advertised (large does not have a detachable strap). Now I have a bag that's much too large. I'm trying to get in touch w them but can't reach them. I really regret buying from them!

I purchased an oil change from groupon, when I tried to redeem the groupon I was told that my car only uses synthetic oil and the groupon was "useless" for that so I would need to pay full price. I tried to get my money back and Groupon said since the fine print say I may have to pay extra for upgrade then I cannot get a refund. That is fraud and I would suggest you stay away from all Groupon offer
Purchased a balloon ride. If you buy the groupon you have to be at the location at 5:45 am. No view from the balloon as it's still dark out. No refund from groupon as they want their money. What a ripoff.
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.
Answer: Yes, report it but using social media is a very effective way to get a companies attention. Spread the word, Groupon does not honor returns!
Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?
Answer: Groupon usually sends a tracking # via email If not do as the other people suggested, check My Groupons
Answer: I wish I could say why, but a solution might be to contact Call Curtis, or your local News station that helps with consumer issues. They always seem to get fast resolutions, because companies hate BAD TV PUBLICITY.
Answer: I personally do not trust groupon. The question previous to yours printed on this site should answer your question as to its reliaiblity
Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!
Answer: Well, it's not Ideeli anymore... it's been Ideel for about a year now I think. Yes, there is a customer support phone number. I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
Groupon has a rating of 1.6 stars from 5,286 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Groupon most frequently mention customer service, credit card and fine print. Groupon ranks 250th among Daily Deals sites.
