Groupon is a scam. I purchased a groupon for Atlantic City to use 9/20/15. Called the hotel before I purchased to book and now the hotel magically will not take my groupon. Planned to take my boyfriend for his birthday to the Borgata. Now on hold for 42 minutes with Groupon customer service. No response.
I could 0 if i could. I purchased eyelast ext service for 50$. The lady put wrong phone number so u cant reach her and email was replied 7 days after to give me an appointment. The worse she didnt show up to her own store. Btw Her name is lashed by niki in toronto so that you all stay away. I contacted groupon to get money back. I was told i cant get coz i purchased 2 weeks ago. I kept telling them i couldnt get reply from her all this time. They diddnt take any action at all. Basically i lost my money and time for nothing. Never groupon again!
I've like the service and they have great deals my only problem is I purchase deals and I forget them and the expire. I wish they would dend you a reminder a week out to advise you your Groupon is about to expire. Great deals. I find myself on your site and I look up and it's an hour later.
I chatted with customer service with screen shot of my card transaction. But they keep repeating themselves that they only charge once. Than they ask me a lot of informations. I provided all information they asked but customer service didn't respond more than 20 minutes and they kicked out from chatting. Two changes from my creditcard and they keep saying that they only charge once. Than why I have two changes from Groupon at same time and same date twice and I only got one deal?well...
Ordered a product on Black Friday that I assumed was coming. When going through the purchase process I received an edit stating to update my credit card information to place the order as my expiration date had passed on the current card listed. Beware due to the wording I expected my order to be placed once the credit card information was updated. I did not want to end up with a duplicate so I attempted a call to the Company and was told the wait to speak with an operator was 1 1/4 hours. I should have known. The order was not placed and I got the "We are sorry lingo from the company." when I emailed them. They will not make it right. I will never order from them again and plan to follow up with the BBB and whomever I need to as it is apparent to me they need some customer service work.
I think the concept is great. The website looks clean. But they just don't have good offers. Nothing really that special anyway. So I unsubscribed myself from their deals.
I just don't think it's that great or helpful...

Moved 200 miles from business groupon was purchased for, didnt redeem the groupon, called the business and got the OK from them to refund, just had to call groupon. However... Groupon is hurting for money so badly instead of issuing $250 groupon bucks, they'd rather piss me (and hopefully more people) off to the point I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. Bunch of monkeys kept reading from a scripts about how they don't give refunds. But- I've talked to people who have gotten them, so... maybe Groupon refund lottery system? Either way, stay away. Not worth dealing with them to save a few bucks.
I bought an Episonic facial brush from them. Shouldn't even mention that the delivery took forever. But that's not the worst. I received a USED one instead of NEW. Can you imagine buying a pair of USED panties? That's what my reaction was. The item is moreover unreturnable. But if they refuse, I will just lawsuit them.
Complaint Description:
I made two purchases on groupon, one for $17 and another for $116 which i cancelled both immediately. Groupon notified me that i will receive my refund within ten business days. It has been 15 days and still no refund. They emailed me some mambi jambo about my banks claim departnent nit depositing the money to my account. This is unacceptable and i would like to get my refund immediately.
While the heading could apply to sooo many things, it applies to just one: the Ideeli withdrawal. Mr. Hurly has a good thing. How about trying again. NOTHING compares to Ideeli; gone but unable to forget it. So missed
They gave refund for the product which I sent back. Actually I ordered for 32 size 2 pants they sent me 34 size and they refunded me individually after a week. I ordered shoes and the tracking shows it is delivered but I did not receive the package, I contacted them they were rude and claiming that you alredy got one exception refund we are not giving any refund again and canceled my groupon account. It has low shipping services and too worst customer services
Merchant was not honouring service. After a year of dealing with this behaviour and losing out I contacted Groupon for the remaining balance. Their reps Amir and Rahul asked for information. When I gave it to them they then told me I had to deal with the merchant. They then refused to help in anyway and couldn't answer why they wouldn't help.they also wouldn't open a complaint dispute. Awful customer service! I purchased an item which ended up being defective so I shipped it back using the return label provided from Groupon. I shipped the item on May 7th however the item was not received to the warehouse until May 23 which is in the same state! After realizing the status of the return had been changed to closed yet I hadn't received by refund, I called customer service only to be told I needed to provide another 21 days for them to facilitate the refund. I will NEVER order from Groupon again. Not worth the hassle.
Groupon ads do not actually list what you are getting, even in the fine print. The object is to get your money then trade off with another product they get a better return on. - No refunds. Miss Leading advertising - DO NOT BUY GROUPON
I ordered 2 laptops over 3 weeks ago. I wasn't provided tracking information until the weekend before 1 of the laptops arrived. Yep, I only received 1 of the laptops. I am still waiting on the other. There is no tracking information for the second laptop yet I've been told it's en route. A customer service rep told me 2 days ago that my second laptop would be here today. That didn't happen. My calls and emails to customer service have not resolved anything. While they aren't rude, they don't go out of their way to make things right either. This has been an expensive lesson to learn. I figured I would post a "Buyer Beware" on as many sites as I could before moving on to reporting them to the BBB and the Attorney General.
I ordered glass bowls with plastic lids at 14.95 + shipping. They are rather small, but they are cute. The bowls were intact, however one of the lids is broken. Groupon policy is "Sorrywere unable to offer replacements." They recommend "Check the item box and Fine Print to see if your product is covered by warranty

Thank you Groupon for being a trustworthy site I have always gotten what I have paid for and what I haven't gotten was because I have taken to long and the groupon expired. Even when this happens they still try to make it right.
Used the service three times - got lucky, everything went as ordered. The problem of such services is that sometimes you can "miss" and the service fails. Than the question is whether you can refund the money for the inexistent discount.
THIS SITE CREATE SCAM.@ first they ship ur order really fast. AFTER... they use your payment(money) for couple weeks "laundry your money". However: they will return ur payment, but your order "lost forever". Wanna play? Place order!
They need to change the way they do business.
Many customers don't know is they take 50% of sales form business.
For example if regular price for massage is $ 50 an hour, they will require salon offer 50% off coupon, that means salon will sell $25 an hour massage.
Group on will take 50 % of whatever sales. So that mean the salon get $12.5 for an hour massage! If you are stylist, would you do $12.5 an hour massage for customers?
So, no away salon can offer very good massage for one hour. At the end they have to give you nasty, quick... whatever value $12.5... in the real life You get what you pay for, but in this case yoy pay $30 massage and you only get $12.5.

Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
