I have read some of the reviews to groupon goods, and I'm having the same issue of not receiving the goods and then not being given a refund from them. They are a rip off. Who has my stuff? I've ordered about 4 different items in the past 4 years, and the same thing every time - shoes twice, a watch, and a hair band. You'd think I'd learn my lesson, right?! And the people that I finally heard from were NOT helpful, but actually a bit snarky, but perhaps it's just the email communication thing.
Careful of the sneaky subscriptions they sign you up for without you knowing and charge your card a small amount every month. Then ONCE you finally get ahold someone hours later on the phone, they shrug their shoulders.
Terrible service! Ordered a pair of headphones over 4 weeks ago and nothing received yet, been trying to contact customer services for 3 days now but they always seem to be "busy" and cant take calls. Feels like it's a scam. STAY WELL AWAY!
I had a permanent eyeliner groupon. When I had the work done it literally peeled off within a week. I could not get a refund from Groupon or Vendor. I'm out $141 & that type of thing has happened before. Spend more money on bad groupons than I have saved. Have decided to never use it again.
I have loved groupon and been an avid user for 2 years now. Great deals for date nights and items for the home alike. Would highly recomend. Just make sure you pay attention to expiration dates for vouchers
A shame that Ideeli wnet out of business or was bought out, whichever. Groupon website looks cheap and uninviting, I won't use it, if they think Ideeli shoppers will switch over they should think again. There are tons of other, better websites that groupon. No thanks. One star is for groupon only because I don't think you can not give it any stars.
Thankyou everyone. I was one click away from my first groupon transaction, and then saw this site which pointed out the problems with such a concept. Unlike Ebay with no customer service policy or guarantee, it's just too easy for either the customer or the business to get screwed. Not to merntion unethical. Groupon is no e-bay, thats for sure;(
I placed an order Nov 21. I got an email confirming the order however, I never received one for shipping. I emailed them requesting information and I got an automated email saying "oops, it fell through the cracks but it's ready to ship". 2 weeks later, still nothing. I emailed them again and got a blanket response stating "we are super busy but will get back to you ASAP". A month after the order was placed - it was cancelled. I was not notified of it though, I just happened to check.
In the midst of all that, I placed another order for a voucher, only to receive an email stating the fine fine print had changed and the voucher was now only valid on a limited amount of products from the company, as opposed to all stock as was stated when I purchased the voucher.
I have also emailed their "feedback" department and now I'm pretty sure I'm being ignored. I can not and will not recommend this site to anyone.
They misrepresent their shipping method. Thus they lost my package. When I called (4 times) I was told by different Customer "Service" people that it's my problem. "You will have to deal with it". WTF?
I would recommend you RUN away from Groupon.
And as far as the services they sell... It's funny that when I go on the website of the place they're selling a Groupon for, the price is the same as if I'd just ordered direct from the provider.

Coupons are good, but NEVER buy a product from GROUPON. I have this watch I could have ordered through Amazon, but I wanted to save money. Ordered through Groupon to save $10. HUGE mistake. It took 3 weeks, wrong product came and now I am having the most difficult time trying to get the return processed as their web page is not working for processing returns. After the 4th email they finally gave me a phone number, but is is only good 8-5. Oh yeah and it could be 30 days for my refund! That is totally awful to say the least, but then I will never order a product from them again. WORST Ever online shopping experience - obviously the coupon people can not deliver the product. They said oh it is limited supply - but 3 weeks to get something that was paid for on the date of the order? Now I have to wait another month to get the money back? Save your time - shop elsewhere.
I purchased a shutterfly photo book. Suddenly I am unable to log in. Many password resets didnt help. No customer support on "live chat". On my phone application (purchased from the same phone couple days earlier) shows no shutterfly purchase, but when I checked my account sure enough they charged me for it. Just wasted almost an hour and still got nowhere. Can log in on my phone, cant on computer.
I had to take the time to communicate with you regarding the customer support I've received since I place my 9 orders on 7/30/2016. Both calls and chats have been abysmal. The worst customer service I've ever experienced. I spent 4 hours on the phone just this morning with various representatives describing the issue only to be over talked and ignored. Half the time I was speaking with people that I couldn't understand because the had very limited English speaking skills. I was given a ticket number and other useless information that rendered me unable to process orders. Does this mean that you don't want my business anymore? Because I can't place an order because the system keeps changing my shipping address. I chatted with someone about this and they had only ridiculous suggestions.

We have many years of history with Groupon and in the past have enjoyed using them in with our business marketing. They have recently changed thier policy on paying the businesses and now only pay them when offers are redeemed. That means if they never get redeemed the business will not receive any of the money that Groupon collected for the businesses. This doesn't actually even seem legal anymore and definitely bot right for them to keep 100% of the funds on non redeemed offers. I suspect many businesses will not use Groupon any more with these new ridiculous terms. Sad to see this change of thiers.
According to my bank account, I spent around $2k on ideeli.com last year. I loved checking the site each day and all the great deals. This groupon switch is horrible. I get it was a business decision to sell out, but at least keep it remotely the way that made ideeli.com so popular. The groupon setup is also cheap-looking, for lack of a better term. I visited the site once, contacted ideeli for the balance on my account to be refunded, and have only visited Hautelook each day since. Too bad for ideeli - and I am sure many employees who worked for them also lost their jobs. Bad decision all the way around. But good news for Hautelook!
I placed an order for a MacBook Pro and groupon sent an email stating there was an error and the order could not be processed. I had had just purchased another deal so cc/ payment was not a problem. It has been over 24 hours with no response from them except the automated explaining how to have your issue reviewed.
I guess Groupon went out of business! I made a purchase last night but couldn't login this morning and all of their phone numbers listed on the internet are no longer working. I had to dispute the charge with my bank and I am not the first call they've received this morning to do that. If you have an order pending with Groupon I would suggest you look into it ASAP
So people tell me to *******@Groupon and I finally look for something to buy. I figure I'd buy an LG Bluetooth because I need a Bluetooth. I order one on the 2nd and they keep telling me it will be delivered in less than a week. Here it is another week and my Bluetooth has never shipped. $100 down the drain because their poor excuse for customer service tells me they can only help two hours after the order has been placed and I have missed that window of opportunity. #scam
I spent $229 on an Xbox which arrived not working. They tell me they don't deal with it, call Microsoft. Who keeps it for anaother month. It comes back, same problem, nothing changed. Now they want me to send it again. I just want out, but now the 90 day warranty is up and they will only fix it if I pay. What?
I contact Groupon explain the whole story. One response, after 3 days waiting for a response, Your 90 day warranty is up. Case closed.
1st time members get a $45 deal from Groupon. The ONLY button on Groupon site sends you directly to Costco site. Enter the Coupon code during registration and will show what the fine print on Groupon tells you. Once your signed up and transaction goes thru you'll Notice FULL Costco amount $60 was charged. Customer service on Groupon throws it back at you as if you signed up inappropriately.
Purchased tickets for Jones Beach Nikon Theater in February. Printed up tickets, section 24, Row G- Up high, but actually front row for that section.
Yesterday they sent me an e-mail and changed seats, same price point, high section, Section 24, but seats were all the way back in Row K.
Chat with customer service-Muhammed A-was useless, when I asked to speak with a supervisor he said he would get one to write me in 24-48 hours. Today another e-mail-from Muhammed A, acting as a customer service supervisor, again saying too bad.

Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

Answer: I usually call the merchants I am interested in before buying the coupons, and ask them if the groupon coupons work, and how much more I have to pay. You could do the same, contact the merchants you are interested in and ask them how groupon works for them?

Answer: The one I took by Holly and Hugo at least were I would research the company before buying. Also about twice a year they put all their courses for $5! I got mine completed it and it helped boost my resume and I was able to get a vet assistant job pretty quickly compared to before where I only got a call back from about one place which didn't lead anywhere. :) hope I could help!

I've had nothing but good experiences from Ideel in all regards - product satisfaction, price, shipping, etc. - but I've never had to contact customer service so I don't know what you'll get, but they're phone number is (888) 835-1719.
Answer: They are the absolute worst about answering customer service complaints. They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. But, don't loose hope, the DAY I posted a review on this site, they answered AND gave me a 25.00 credit for my trouble. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders. Good Luck and don't leave a sordid detail out of your complaint.
