You cannot register or activate temporary cards. I've tested this out several times and have come to a firm conclusion. Whatever is happening in this company is obviously dubious, likely nefarious. Do not buy. Make a police report.

This greendot has ZERO security. 1st day I activated it some streaming company took 49.95 from me. I called dispute department and the card was never deactivated. 2 days later another unauthorized transaction happened in which this company is to blame after they did not cancel existing card. Now I'm in the negative after having zero funds

The Green Dot I had was the 'Pay As You Go" It was crazy you register the card and yourself but your account shows zero, but your emails say "Welcome to the family", time to shop and spend money". There customer chat folks are useless. Customer service phone numbers are all automated. I called every GD contact number about 20 times, but never got a human. Every time you register the card the flawed website will sign you up for another debit card and a new routing number and a different 16 pin debit card. The website has flaws.

I've had an account with them for 5+ years and it was always something an the only thing good about it was the Cashback, multiple blocked cards they decide to do on there own no questions asked to the cardholder, and this is the end of the road as they blocked my account and future use for what they said was uses that triggered there security system but was just a working man's use of his money for gas, food, and pet supplies. 10/10 would not recommend. If no stars were allowed it would certainly be that.

I am reached out to FDIC, *******342, option 2 for help in solving this matter with Rapid! - MetaBank – GreenDotCorp. I had sent my decease nephew's & my documentation to Rapid! For the information they requested, and I kept getting excuses of why they would not release his $600 funds. I had faxed, email, and called and I needed FDIC to help me get this situation resolved with Rapid!. Green dot took the funds from a non expiring Walmart gift card and I have been trying for a week to talk to someone in English to get my money back. The gift card expired but the back clearly states funds do not expire so how can they take your money, I am out $100.

Worst card ever. Do not purchase under any circumstance. Customer service is the worst I've ever experienced.

The verification codes never work. You must have your card activated in order to supposedly talk to help, but your card can't be activated. They referred me to Just Answer for help but they said they do not work with companies. Crooks. Thieves. They stole $100 from me. They sell these at CVS.

These people are thiefs.i went to walmart and got one of their prepaid card loaded it there for $200 and got a receipt activated the card and till now there bo funds in my card or account.They keep u on hold for hours just to talk to a custormer service representative. They offer no option to get your money back.They offer no option to use the card online.They are completely useless do not even try using them

I uploaded 420 dollars to my card at the time I purchased it from Walgreens. Before I could use it or do anything, someone activated my card under another name and took all my money. I've been getting the run around for weeks. Still haven't been refunded

I was given a $200 debit card as a present for my retirement. As soon as I started using it, I found that I only had $191.85 left. I tried using the card within three days of receiving it. No where is it disclosed that there is a $7.95 a month service fee. Plus even with a free ATM Green Dot also charges you a three dollar transaction fee plus every time you want to check your balance they charge a $.50 this is the biggest rip off I've ever seen in my life.

You can't add it to cash app, you can't make online purchases only in store, you can't withdraw from the atm or nothing. Absolutely $#*!ing terrible. They lie on their website people I'm telling you I've used this business because I absolutely had to and I got $#*!ed every time. I know every in and out about the business and it's $#*!ing terribly ran and the customer support is all from another $#*!ing country and take 2 minutes to say one damn sentence. $#*! Greendot.

At this point greendot bank had stole 18 thousand dollars from me under suspicion of fraud even after all identification documents have been provided and funds are verified.Ive talked with 7 different people and even had one tell me he wouldn't transfer me to a supervisor and that it is what it is. The fact that walmart still uses them is ridiculous.

The worst organization I've ever dealt with. They blatantly stole $540 from me ran me around for weeks customer service do not understand English, and will give you a load of bull$#*! just to get you of phone corporate headquarters blocks you and send you to India, based on what I've read they are nothing but thieves

I posted my story many times regarding green dot corporation stealing my 161.00 As of December 21st still no refund. They sold me a card that was already registered to someone else. They let me load a 160.00 on it knowing it was registered to someone else. Now get this they put my refund on that same fraudulent card. You why because green dot are scammers. That 161.00 went in the pockets of a green dot employee. Scammers and thieves. Please everyone BOYCOTT green dot corporation. They still from their consumers. Shame on them.

I just want to know how are they able to operate like this. I've contacted the FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF SAN FRANCISCO numerous times and they seem to be okay with greendots business practices.

They are the biggest crooks I can possibly think of. I deposited money on a card at Walmart and never got to use my card once. They did however charge my card as monthly fee. They just keep it blocked no matter how many times I call in. They tell Mee it's under review which is lies. Now they are telling I have to wait while they decide if it's fraud to send me a refund check. Which I'm sure is another lie. This company should be shut down they don't even have a real bank I could go into and prove it's me and my money.
