I booked a ticket on 29/02/2020 to travel from Egypt to USA at June 2020.
The airports were closed due to COVIDA-19, I rebooked on October and paid 30 EUR for rebooking while airlines did that for free and I was paid for flexible tickets before.
The airlines cancelled the flights and I asked for a refund. The airlines refunded the GOTOGATE but until this moment ( a year from booking) the GOTOGATE did not return my money. I sent several emails with no response.
I called customer-service several times each time I waited for more than an hour to reach the agents. The agents Talked for 5 minutes to to tell me they send to payment department a note.
That is a very bad customer service for an international company, they do not care about any customer and they keep refund money with no reason at all.
People warned me but I didn't listen. Please do not patronize them! They are dubious and would torture you rather than help you.
I strongly recommend to avoid this website. They almost double the credit card withdraw and their customer service never reply. Please avoid it.

Please travelers do not use this company they are the worst ever they charged $54 fee if you decide to cancel any trip after one minute.
They have the worst customer service I had to call virgin who resolved my problem instantly. Don't waste your time with them they are thieves

The Gotogate organization is pure horror. And truly hoping if enough people share their dreadful experience using their booking site it will help drive them out of business!, honestly if I can spare just one person the experience of dealing with them than I would feel like the experience I had was not in vain. I can't express in words how awful of an experience it was to deal with them & frankly the worst company I've ever dealt with. I only wished I had read the horrible reviews prior to being directed to them via Skyscanner who I feel is a great app and shocked they would even consider standing behind these scam artists. If you wish to have a positive, honest, even reasonable experience & especially important with how your travel plans can be disruptive & unpredictable. The CS rep I dealt with unreasonable, rude and when I asked to speak with her manager "she said we are all on the same level here so there isn't anyone other than her I could speak with " clearly this is not an upstanding company. Ive never heard of such questionable business practices as they proceeded to deduct $80 for "cancellation / admin fees"on a $179 ticket after I had cancelled my one way flight that I OnLY just booked only 2 hours prior because of a wrong date. As I mentioned Skyscanner had directed me to book via them but prior to this experience I had never even heard of gotogate. As were all aware The transportation authority gives everyone the legal right up to 24 hours to cancel any flight for any reason with no penalty or fees. Even more unscrupulous is at the time of my booking there is nothing that Is stated in writing or even now after referring to their website that states there is a fee in you cancel within 24 hours only they adhere to airline regulations & restriction policies Always Sad & frustrating that there are company's such as gotogate that thrive & profit by ripping people off and conducting poor dishonest business. My recommendation is to definitely stay far far away doing business with them.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I tried to rebook a Lufthansa operated flight during the Covid 19 crisis because my country was closing its borders. After 3 hours on hold and being bounced around from department to department, they hanged up the call. Nobody knows what their doing and even told me I would have to pay for the rebooking even though Lufthansa was waiving all rebooking fees for reservations before March 5th (which was the case), travel dates up to April 30th (also the case) and rebooking until the end of 2020 (also the case). I understand the long waiting times in this situation but I don't understand how a staff that should be extra efficient during this time of crisis, has no idea on what to do or rebooking/refunding policis of the companies they work for.
I need to cancel the ticket they won't answer the phone! If guys read this review good luck learn from my mistake

You spent money for a flight and now you have no flight and loss of your money due to misconduct from the company GOTOGATE that you have paid to them.
Thankyou for they have an insurance covered to this OTAs business. The consumer spent and loss now could claim back all from this fraud and criminal business accomplices which is supported and corporate with. The amount they took from you could be a person few months of hard earn salary or the last hope.

Never use go to the gate. They cost me $1800. A flight was canceled in the middle of my trip from Australia to Europe they told me I had to sort it out my self and they could only refund me the original price of the ticket $1300. They current pice of the cheapest ticket was $4200. After multiple calls and begging Malaysia airlines to change my canceled ticket after the said go to the gate has to do it and they wouldn't, Malaysia airlines helped me out. I rang go to the gate said will this trip all work since I had got it changed he said yes. So I got to half way through my trip and needed to fly from Kuala Lumpur to Dubrovnik they said I could not board the plane because the the ticket wasn't altered. So I got stuck in Kuala Lumpur for two days had to pay for a hotel and another $1500 for a plane flight. Everytime you call go to the gate they hang up on you or it takes a hour to speak they don't help. When I was stuck at the airport called go to the gate there was 204 people in the cue before me, so obviously 204 other pissed off customers
They charged me twice for a flight and then when I cancelled, they don't even refund the total amount. Do not use. It is a scam!

Booked a return flight at Christmas time from Sydney to London on Cathay Pacific through Go to Gate. Cathay Pacific sent me an email directly cancelling one leg of the return flight two days before leaving date. Tried to call Go to Gate and had to wait an hour before I could speak with anyone. This person denied the flight was cancelled when I had the proof from Cathay Pacific. Told me to call back the next day which I did and suffered another hour waiting to speak with anyone and this person hung up on me. The next day I called back ( again waiting an hour before I could speak with anyone) This time I asked the representative if I cancelled the all flights on this trip to see my family at Christmas time would I receive a refund. I asked twice and she said YES. I asked if it would be a full refund and she said YES but I would probably have to pay $64 AUD Go to Gate Fee. I agreed to cancel my flights based on this information.
A month later I received an email say I was a NO SHOW and not eligible for a refund in fact I would have to pay a cancellation fee per person. This I disputed as I was not a NO SHOW. I provided evidence of the cancelled flight from Cathay Pacific and asked for a transcript of the conversation I had with their representative advising I would get a full refund. I have not received this to date.
Go to Gate do not reply to you. Do not use them. I am still fighting this 4 months later. They are fraudulent, cheating innocent parties out of thousands of dollars. I will NEVER recommend them

I've been trying to solve my problem, which I have been informed by the airline that is completely possible to do, for the past two weeks! I've been calling their joke of a customer service IN INDIA, which is quite funny considering it is a Swedish company with an English webpage, for the past two weeks in the evening, after full time working days, to get myself a 2-3 days deadline for them to get in touch with me which is never fulfilled!
Don't be fooled by their copied and pasted answers to these reviews! Nothing is done and nothing is solved!
Gotogate is robbing me of my money, my holidays, my patience, my appetite, my free and resting time and of meeting my newborn nephew!
I will not rest until I take you down and I WILL be seeking legal action to sue you and I recommend everyone who has been scammed by this joke of a company will do the same, as it is unacceptable for them to keep on scamming more and more people!
Booked a round trip of 5 flights at around £2500 over a month.
One got cancelled due to one of the countries governments introducing flight restrictions. It took GOTOGATE an entire week after i got the cancellation text from the airline to update their "system" and believe that it was cancelled. Then, they wouldn't rebook it, or refund a single flight, nor would they allow any changes due to their policies.
The only option their "policies" offered was to cancel ALL 5 FLIGHTS, conveniently charging a £13 fee on every one of them per person and leaving us stranded. We couldn't even write that flight off and no-show at the airport because they told us they would cancel our other flights if we did that.
The airline itself would have allowed us to modify the single flight, but GOTOGATE policies did not. I wasted 3 hours being bounced between their various indian call center departments being given incorrect information and "computer says no" responses until 'Vishnu' the manager, told me there was nothing he could do because it was their "policy" not to allow changes.
This is a bottom of the barrel middle-man-company that offers nothing in exchange for its fees. We tried to have the airline purchase the booking so we could modify it, but it turns out GOTOGATE never even paid the airline, they just sat on the money for months and wasted days of our time.
Gotogate offers well crafted catch 22 situations created from ncompetance, and scammy business policies.
Do yourself a favour and just book direct with the airline. You seriously don't need scammers like gotogate involved.

Answer: Passengers' money is too little, who cares. Even if you were cheated, as an individual passengers, you won't shake the whole tree. They want your money, nothing else, like a pirate or thief.
