This is a total scam- save your time and your money and NEVER book through gotogate.
Had I booked directly through Icelandair- I would have had a response via telephone and online form within minutes regarding the need to cancel my flight due to Covid. And, I would have received a voucher for the price of the flights.
However, Icelandair was unable to provide me with this voucher as I had booked through a third party (gotogate). I then proceeded to wait on hand for GotoGate for over 4 hours before my flight was set to depart with no answer.
When I filled out Gotogate's online form well before my flight, they responded to the cancellation request 5 days later (!) to say that they could not provide a voucher because I was marked as a no-show...
I will never, EVER, use this company again.
Gotogate changed my departure time without any axplanation. My departure time was at 6.05 pm, but when I tried to check-in, I realized my departure time is already at 6.30 am. Any sms or email with explanation. My plans are ruined, because changing of departure time costs 600$. I strongly do not recommend this company. Also I could not to call or to chat Gotogate, their website doesn't find my reservation already and there's not any contact info((

This company is the TOTAL CROOK. I lost 426 for a flight it was scheduled on the 17th of Dec 2019.
I had from the beginning paid almost 50, an additional cost for cancellation protection.
A day before the flight I got very sick I did very carefully all it was written to their regulation's form (I sent them a doctor's certificate to prove that I am not lying) so as to cancel my flight and they never respond to this.
I communicated with them by phone and as I was trying to understand the reason why, the line cut off. The follwing days I sent them two mails again, trying to get a radical response. I just took an automated response:
"We are very sorry to inform you that we cannot refund you because you didn't follow the regulations".
Simply Crooks.!
The worst airline agent.
I have booked flexible tickets, when I requested to change them they send my request to "another" department requesting be to wait for their call.
After one month nobody has call me back. I have called them more than 15 times mentioning that I need to have my new tickets in order to extent my visa but nobody cares. The only reply is "we will call you". Although I have requested to speak to supervisor, they endured me that supervisor will call me but again nothing.
Whole process was good and self explanatory

I'm not computer smart,so my first time using the apps was a little confusing I got through it.
When I got to the counter,the attendants act like they didn't want to help and when they did it seemed like they had attitudes.
Worst company ever! I have a flight which was cancelled due to Covid19.2 days before the flight I called them and I had to wait 2h on-hold just to get a arab accent guy with defective microphone. He told me to wait like 5 minutes and I was hearing him trying to switch cables of his microphone and then told me that because my ticket was low cost, they can't do nothing and that I had to contact airlines.
What a shame! The airline said clearly we had to contact the agency and I had to wait 2 hours just to be told they can do nothing! This is a completely scam!
Also there is no way to cancel through their website just like other companies let you.
Finally the airlines helped me.
Never use Gotogate
Several difficulties to customers, biggest, after booking trip doesn't appear in my app. I have to go to my emails, get confirmation number and manually add my trip in the app. Other problem: app doesn't record my information, so every time I book, I have to put ALL my information again
This company is the most unorganized and incompetent travel website I ever had to deal with. I had to call them 10-15 at least to correct a ticket that I had to change. I was disconnected at least 7 time and they never called me back. They just keep sending me to different agents who were all incompetents.
Never book any flight with them even if you are saving some money. It has been literaly a nightmare to deal with them
I spent more money on flight tickets buying at Go to the Gate than directly with the airline. I received a coupon for hotel but I found the better rates in Trivago.com. Only the car rental was better with Go to the Gate.
We bought tickets via GotoGate for 1500$ with addition of 170$ for flexible option. Month before flight we wanted to use flexible option and push departure date for few days. When we checked on GotoGate site, the new price for tickets was 2200$ (so we need at least to pay additional 2200-1500 = 700$). We called to GotoGate service phone and were said that need to pay additional 3100$ more! So, just to change date we requested to pay more than new tickets!
GotoGate flexible option is not worth paying as it cannot be used. Not recommend to use GotoGate at all as custom service is also terrible
Our flight was cancelled. It was a 3-4 days we were about to leave the location and they sent an email advising that it has been cancelled and that there were no other option other than refund. To this day, I have been calling and emailing but no refund was ever given. This was a year ago and i'm still fighting for my refund.
The process was simple enough, but normal seat selection at a cost, and the seat is way at the back in the middle did not make sense at all.
Gotogate made an error on the passengers name. They refused to correct it, arguing that it was the responsibility of the airline. Finally we could not fly and Gotogate refused to reimburse. By far the worst company I have seen!
I wish I could give zero stars! Absolutely horrendous customer service. Over 20+ hours on hold over the course of the past two months, literal lies told to us about future travel vouchers and rebookings. They even told us it was our responsibility to get in touch with the airline to release our tickets in order for gotogate to issue us a voucher? The airline even laughed at this stating that was the whole point of booking through a travel agency such as gotogate. Never use this joke of a business.
While they organized none reservation possibilities, they take your money than you wait for your refund if they do that 50 times a day at the end of the week makes a lot of money in the bank for go-to gate,has a cash flow, this not right in my school's?
Customer service is attrocious. Trying to contact them is difficult. The airline repaid them but they keep hold of the money for longer despite giving the impression they will help you get refunds quicker through them and then charge you for the dreadful service. It seems to me that they like other companies in the airline industry will only repay when you finally manage to speak to someone in person otherwise its just delay after delay.
I bought a ticket online from their website and then I changed my mind. I tried to contacted them right away no answer at all. I had to wait till Monday to called them finally someone answered me, and I explained to her my situation then replied me no refund no cancellation request.
So, if you buy a flight ticket from this company and you changed your mind hour later just say good buy to your money. No refund no request cancellation. No customer service on 24h as they state in their website. Please stay away from this type of company.
Worst customer service ever. When asking to add a bag to my flight they insisted on 20GBP to respond to my mails, I sent many reminders! I added my bag directly with the airline.
After my flight departed they emailed me two weeks later explaining how to add a bag. A lot of good that was. I will never use this agency again as they are unresponsive and just want money from people.
While booking for couple of my friend, suddenly the price increased and cant accept the new price.
Let me know the price comes back so we can travel with the same price. I paid $111.00. Please let me know.
