I booked a flight with them, had to change the date which they said was fine. However, they said I had to call customer service to change the date over the phone. They kept me waiting in line for hours, only to have someone pick up and then disconnect the call before I could re-book. This happened 4 times in a row. They lied and said they tried to call me back - there is no way to reach them directly without waiting in an hours-long line every time you call back. I've spent all day on hold with them and have had no success changing my ticket which is now worthless. This is 100% a scam - do NOT book with them.
I bought my tickets 4 month ago. They should refund money and always they denied. Right now I reed all the comments. I believe that this company never pay back the money that should be refunded. Maybe police could solved large amount of this inconveniences.
This is the worst ticketing agency i have ever came across. After first paying 250$ for the "flexible ticket", I was promised not to be charged again. After waiting for 1h30min on the phone, I was charged 500$ extra after asking to reschedule my ticket and when i asked to talk to the manager, the agent REFUSED to do so and was disrespectful. Oh and forget about them answering your emails, they will only do that after 3-4 days.
Terrible service, would not recommend even if it's your last choice. Nothing is guaranteed with them, be careful.
My flight was cancelled due the covid situation. I have been in talks with Gotogate seeking a refund. I know this is not guaranteed but the customer service is horrible. They are not sympathetic at all to the situation and it seems as though they are not on the same page as the airline either - because although the airline have put in an investigation for me they keep referring me back to Gotogate and for every situation Gotogate replies with "that is against our policy". I even asked for a supervisor to call me back but that was also against their policy.
I will not be booking through this company again and highly recommend to avoid them.
I booked a British Airways flight through Gotogate and the flight was cancelled on the day. BA refunded Gotogate within 6 days, but 3 weeks later, Gotogate have yet to refund me. I have emailed Gotogate, but they choose to ignore me. What reputable company would behave like this? Never again will I use Gotogate.
Gotogate is a complete scam! After my flights initially planned to depart and return in April 2020 were cancelled, they did not answer my emails for refund nor did their phone numbers work. After 3 months they offered me the opportunity to get a voucher or rebook immediately. They simply ignored my request for a refund after several times of emailing still! Eventually, I took the voucher. Now I wanted to use the voucher by booking a flight and it simply does not work and gives me error messages. If that is not enough, they also are still not replying to my emails and complaints. I would therefore advise everyone to not use this website for booking your flights.
Basically we had a flight scheduled from Detroit to Minneapolis at 4:30pm. When we arrived, we found out the flight was changed to 7:30am... We never received an email from GoToGate regarding this change, in fact we received several emails confirming the original flight time. Logging into their app even shows no changes to the flight and shows the original time... Calling customer service was an absolute joke. They basically said there's nothing they could do, and even straight up lied about sending emails regarding the change. I can literally log into their app and see the same flight time we booked, but the rep tried to lie and say that was incorrect. This company is absolute scam. Avoid booking through them and go straight to the airlines for bookings. Cheap prices are not worth completely missing your flight and having no refund or change options.
I wish i had read the reviews before i booked the tickets. Once the button is pressed, you are done. Anything after that is paid. Forget about all the airline policies. Now you are dealing with 2 set of policies. One from airlines and one from these. Airlines polices can still be managed, but with gotogate, its like paying them for the services for which they charge on their website, but even they don't know what they are about.
They charge for cancellation within 24 hrs, premium charges for seat selection, charge for meal selection which airlines might not be even offering (seriously?). There money refund is 7-9 business days. I don't even want to start on the polite behavior and professionalism of the call center guys.
On a whole, very regretting experience. Stay away as much as you can.
I have been trying to get a refund for 2 months from them after using Booking.com site. I get the same message that the airlines need to refund first and then I will get a refund. Spoke to the airline and apparently there is an industry-wide agreement that the life-cycle of the booking is the travel agency's responsibility. They simply give me the same spiel each time...but apparently "understand my frustration". Apparently the "support personnel are dealing with it" but they cannot let me speak with them directly so again the same canned message. ATAS/AFTA here I come to for an official complaint. Do not EVER use this company to book flights.
I booked online and my dates were change. I contacted support and no one is willing to help. I am traveling with an infant and from Phoenix to San Diego with a 5 hour lay over. Chat and call are terrible.
Never ever want to deal with this 3rd party company. They kept demand more and more many from you. When you want make cancellation they will put you on hold for 2-3 hours. I recommend everyone taking time to report them on BBB ( better business bureau). And call yours bank to dispute the transaction. That's the only possible way you could get yours money back from this scam company.
It took them one year and a half to admit they have to do a refound (probably the flight company refounded to them) and then they send you an email that they will refound in 5 days but they never do.and they don't provide you any bank info to show you they really did the refound.they provide a reference id that your bank can't use to trace the money...If a transaction even exists. Don't expect their help in case you hit an issue.
A few days ago I had to change my ticket's date. Keeping in mind I had a flexible ticket. Gotogate didn't pick us for two days. No answer. The calls (5 times I called to be exact)would repeatedly hung up. Had to change the date urgently, so I approached the airline and asked to change the ticket's date, they did so. For the change I had to pay a higher price than a regular ticket.
Finally reaching Gotogate and explaining the story, they tell me it's my fault and I had to get a hold on them.

I had to cancel my flight. The airline (Flair Airlines) said it had sent the reimbursment to GoToGate. I called, sent emails, did everything I could to get in touch with them. All I would get were confirmation of reception emails. I never got my money back. This was back in August 2021. They are thieves, do not ever buy your tickets with this company.
Oh, and they use COVID as an excuse.
Any changes to your booking and they will tell you to contact the airline. The airline will tell you to contact them. You are in between, unable to access your refund (if they cancel on you), your free re-booking or any credit you may have. Not even for a fee. Do not book with these scammers.
Scam! Not to buy from them, change the flight unannounced and then charge a second time, Who want to cancel don't answer the phone and by email for more than a month don't answer also waiting on the line for a few hours!
And finally won't refund the money even after we had to buy new tickets from another company and And we announced a cancellation a month ago.
Advertised price doesn't include seating carry on or check in luggage nor meals provided. Ended up being more than double the price advertised when booking.
Avoid this platform at all costs. It is not worth the saving and the customer is useless. They want to charge me $ 30 to fix a typo in my birth date. The ticket cost $ 100. It is outrageous. Run form this company
I booked the flight with go to gate. But they didn't pay to flair full amount so they didn't let me board. When I called go to gate they said they requested a refund. But it's more than 3 months nothing yet. Whenever I try calling them they said they don't know how long it will take but they are still waiting from airline. Like seriously. I would never book with go to gate.
