This is the first time I make flight reservation through GoToGate. Was a bit skeptical, but the whole process turned out well. Got the price as shown, reservation and payment went through with no problem. Will use this site again.
It is absolutely terrible with so many upcharges and so many excessive fees for everything. All these things used to be standard issue. What the hell has happened to real customer service?

I booked a flight through you. I received tickets by mail. I arranged everything that needed to be done, added the seats and so on. And then you send me an email that my order has been cancelled. I lost money and time
And had to buy more expensive tickets

I do not understand travel consolidators like GoToGate, why they sometimes have cheaper prices than others but why they make it so difficult to do business.
I was booking a flight on Scoot. GotoGate had it advertised as $490, Scoot was $525. When I tried to actually book, Gotogate became $525 but Scoot became $600.
I wanted to add a bag, Scoot wanted $35, Gotogate wanted $105! So I booked the flight with Gotogate and then added a bag with Scoot for $40.
The booking with Gotogate didnt use my email, they created some fake email to make my life difficult. They didnt use the airline booking PNR, they created their own, again just to make my life difficult.
Still, I guess I saved $50 or so, so great...

We bought round trip tickets from cebu philippines to jeju island and back to cebu philippines with transit to busan. Our mistake we did not check if we are needing visa since filipino need not visa in jeju but we are transiting to busan for 2 hours which will require visa. To cut it short we were just in cebu airport and could not board aircraft and we can not refund since we bought our ticket to gotogate according to the airlines. When we contacted gotogate next day the plane left so, we can not refund.
Thats fine. Since our vacation is 3 weeks, we requested a refund for our way back to cebu philippines. More than 10 communications and request and we were constantly assured not to worry. Until i was asked that we can not refund but rebooking is ok if we call a centain number. When i called, i was advised that it is not possible. We again communicated and ask for rebooking now is our request for almost 3 weeks despite if their assurance nothing happened. Asking what dates we prefered etc and 2 days before the schedule for our supposed jeju to cebu asked to please rebook or we wil loss the chance since the schedule is one day ahead. Again we were assure not to worry. Since yesterday the day we should be from jeju to cebu, we can not contact gotogate. Bad bad bad gotogate.
I asked for a refund after 10 mins of booking because of out of my control visa conditions. You charged me $44 for each person. Not fair! Those are were flexible tickets and I asked for a refund before you create tickets. You didn't send tickets to me. And you have to refund $88 more

Answer: Passengers' money is too little, who cares. Even if you were cheated, as an individual passengers, you won't shake the whole tree. They want your money, nothing else, like a pirate or thief.
Answer: They grabbed the credit card from passengers, of course, they will take as much money as possible from your bank account. The break the policy from the US department of transportation, but they don't care, they want your money. The best thing is not to purchase ticket from their website.
