Tried to get my dog's calcitriol filled at walmart and the pharmacist said they couldn't honor the coupon because they don't have an NPI number. I need to get this med for my dog before he has another seizure.
I am giving this 3 stars even though I couldn't get the advertised price and felt the explanation goodrx gave me was a bold faced lie. The reason I give 3 stars is that Target would still give me a heavy discount over retail even though it was alost 3 x advertised.
I am doing without the medicine. Apparently no one sells it at a reasonable price.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Our prices are based on contracted rates that pharmacies have agreed to accept. Thousands of Americans use GoodRx every day without an issue. Typically, if there is a problem, it's a pharmacist who either misunderstands or simply doesn't want to provide a discount to the customer. We'd love the opportunity to look into this issue for you and resolve on your behalf - we're quite good at it. Please email info@goodrx.com if you'd like us to resolve. Thanks.
Using the mobile App, I was able to locate the biggest discounts available for our "Basket" of monthly prescriptions. It ended up being Wal-Mart and conveniently We were moving to a new town so the scripts had to be transferred anyway. I have 5 meds my Wife has 4 plus over the counter Priosec and Nexium. Our cash costs are lower now than our BCBS co pays used to be. Using the card takes a little getting used to as Bin # can change from month to month but I just about have all of the Wal-Mart personal trained on the card.
My brother in law who has no Health Care coverage at all was seen in the local emergency room and I was able to get his very vital meds for $ 83.00 discounted down from $ 230.00, Good Rx made me look like a hero. Thanks to you all for the help and security you have given our family in these uncertain Health Care and economic times.
Thanks.
I was able to use the coupon for a controlled substance (Adderall) here in Scottsdale AZ, via CVS. As a single parent... one income, the savings were astronomical! I recommend to anyone. Call ahead to your pharmacy as Wal Greens did not accept for controlled substance where as CVS in Target store did.
I have goodrx gold. Perscription was a $1,100.00
with goodrx. With Humana gold Prescription was $461.00. What goodrx explained On the price difference is that CVS and goodrx Have a deal that CVS may determine the price of the prescription.Be very cautious with goodrx.
Hi Christopher! We're sorry to hear about the inconvenience. We'd be happy to look into this further, please give us a call at 855-487-0694.
Took my prescription for 100 nitroglycerin,. 4 Mg tablets to Walgreen's with my GoodRX card. The pharmacist checked and said the GoodRX price of $ 12.91 was good. When I went to pay, she said the price was $ 28.29. Since this was less expensive than using my insurance, I paid it. When I got home, I found that the pharmacist had split the script into four parts with each costing $28.29. Needless to say, I will never patronize Walgreen's again.

We can possibly help with this. Please email help@goodrx.com. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Publix charged TWICE as much than GoodRx listed price. But without insurance coverage for my meds, I needed to fill my meds and had no recourse to debate with the pharmacist, despite showing him the quote.
Hello Rhonda--We’re very sorry if you experienced trouble using our coupons at your local Publix pharmacy. Our prices are generally very accurate and pharmacies are contractually obligated to accept our discounts under most circumstances. Our Advocacy Team would love to look into this for you! Please contact us at 888-799-2553 and we’ll investigate immediately.
I have been using goodrx for my buprenorphrine 8mg tablets and 2 months ago it was 98 for my entire script then when I went back the next month for a refill it was 176 that's a huge jump in price. I understand they can change but should it change that much in a month?
Prices can change at any time, but that sounds like an unusually large change. Email help@goodrx.com.
GoodRX coupon said $36.33 at CVS for 360 capsules of 300mg of Gabapentin
When I get to CVS they say oh no we cant sell it for that, but we can sell it to you for $178.00. Coupon states price is an estimate, sounds more like a guesstimate
Hi there - our prices are accurate. Sounds like the pharmacist made a mistake. Please contact help@goodrx.com so we can make this right?
I went to Walgreen with my prescription and they filled using RX coupon for a little more than coupon stated. When I went for 2nd refill, it was 3 times more. I took the prescription to Target and they gave me coupon price. Now Target wants to double the coupon price and says it doesn't guarantee the coupon price. I also found out that you can only change pharmacy's twice for them to honor the coupon. If you have gone to a previous pharmacy, they wont allow you to switch a second time. Keeps you from switching pharmacies to honor first RX coupon. That's why they keep raising the price since they know you have reached your limit in pharmacies and have to use them again. What a racket.
More than 3 million people use GoodRx to save on their prescriptions every month. In our experience, SiteJabber attracts the very, very few people who like to write negative reviews and, more importantly, these reviewers never respond when we attempt to help them resolve their issues (which we can!). So... we don't respond to comments here any more.
Please email info@goodrx.com if you'd like help. Thanks.
A while back I had problems with the price GoodRx stated. So today I thought I would try GoodRx again. I called the pharmacy to refill my prescription and they had a problem with the coupon. I called GoodRx and talked with a representative and the representative called the pharmacy and the coupon still didn't work. The representative said I could try another pharmacy but the other GoodRx coupons were more than the medication without a coupon so I paid full price and now I have my medicine. I will not use GoodRx again!
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Molly. We are investigating this issue further and are working on a resolution so this does not occur again in the future. We would like to apologize for any frustrations this as caused.
I just recently lost my insurance and good RX came back with the total best thing that could ever happen to me as far as prescriptions. Good RX is the best even better than the best thank you good RX. JJ Fort Worth.
We're sorry to hear about your insurance, but we're glad we could be there to help Jaime. Thank you for letting us provide you with assistance and saving opportunities. We hope to help you save even more it he future!
A doctor told us about this GoodRX. Try to get discount under GoodRX with CVS for Tribenzor 40-5-12.5. Got no discount at all. CVS just jacked up the price with the AARP insurance from $45 copay to $58 copay. These drugs companies and pharmacy's are just ripping the people off and Congress passed a law not to all negotiation so obviously the legislators are not working for the people. What a country!
GoodRx discounts are designed to be used instead of Medicare, not in conjunction with Medicare. We can often find savings, especially if you're in Medicare's donut hole.
They claim they GET you name and date of birth, but then strip it from the rest of the info - kinda like the NSA and the Feds.
IF that's true, why do they even get it in the first place.
As far as pharmacys not taking it, all they have to do is scan the coupon in - if they don't at least do that - instruct them on how to do they're job.
Have used this service before with no problems. Today I was surprised that Walgrens refused to offer the price stated on the app. This was after I confirmed the price with the pharmacist prior to giving them the RX. When I went to check out the price jumped $12. Called the number on the GoodRX card only to be told that "our prices are only estimates". Wasted over an hour of my time as did the Walgreen personnel trying to help. With over 8,000 stores you would expect that GoodRx would try to be more accurate. It is not the $12 but it is the scam being perpetrated. Could find nothing on the website stating the prices shown are only an estimate. Disappointed. Dan S
Hi there - our prices are generally accurate, but some of our coupon partners changed their prices on 1/1. We can make this right for you - please email help@goodrx.com? Apologies for any difficulty.
Arvada, CO Costco will NOT honor the low price of Timolol Maleate "eyedroppers", 10 ml. Cited in GoodRx, and it appears Safeway will not either. Costs are just "wrong", according pharmacists, and they also are unwilling to sell in bulk as the GoodRx menus suggest. Just getting an estimate from these locations required doctor's offices to forward the prescription to them, which filters the budget shopper. While they quibble with the details, they clearly are discouraging customers and irritate doctors' offices. A call to GoodRx to mediate was unhelpful. Though an agent claims he contacted Costco and called me back, his explanation didn't wash... said this was an issue with the manufacturer and there was nothing he could do. It GoodRx actually has any kind of contractual agreement with pharmacies it must be toothless.
We apologize for the confusion and frustration when trying to use your GoodRx coupons William. Unfortunately, pharmacies can only provide you the dosage written on your prescription from your doctor; and while we provide coupons for larger quantities, if the prescription doesn't match the pharmacy cannot use that specific coupon. We were able to look up your information based on your call with our Advocacy team and found that the pharmacy was able to apply a coupon according to the exact dosage and quantity that you were prescribed. Once again so sorry for the initial trouble when trying to use your coupons at Costco and Safeway.
My first time using GoodRx. My insurance said my Tdap injection is free but each pharmacy charges an injection administering fee that various. So I searched the web, saw GoodRx provided the charges for all pharmacies near by. I selected the one which is cheapest (Bartell Drugs/ Rite-Add) and printed the coupon out and took it to Bartell Drugs to get the injection. I was very disappointed that the coupon was not accepted there. If I knew the coupon was no good then I would go to my regular pharmacy (Costco) for the injection.
Our Advocacy Team would be happy to look into this for you, Chih! Please give us a call at 888-799-2553. We're open Monday – Sunday, between the hours of 8 AM and 7 PM CT.
I started a new job and my health insurance hadn't kicked in yet. I went to pick up my wife's medication and the cost was $530. I never realized how much the out of pocket cost was because my old insurance covered it. I did some research and found goodrx. I thought it must be a scam but what would I have to lose? I didn't have to fill out any personal info and there didn't seem to be any catch. I gave the pharmacy the coupon and it brought the cost down to $40. I couldn't believe it. I'm totally blown away. Goodrx saved me $490!
When my employer changed from one HMO to another, so did the coverage for medication. Unfortunately, I have a condition that requires me to take a certain medication for the rest of my life. With my previous HMO, I was only paying $10 each month for the medication. With the new one, I was going to pay $100 a month. Even at $100 a month, it's still a lot cheaper than the over $1,000 if you purchased this at retail cost. $100 is still a lot, though, so I went online to see if there was a way to get this medication cheaper and ran across GoodRx's website. The $65 cost it was showing me was hard to believe, but I printed out the coupon and took it to Rite-Aid and they honored it.
So, I'm one of those people who can say that I was able to get the drug cheaper buying it outside of my insurance plan. I'm very happy.
Hi David. That is great news. We are happy to hear we are able to provide a lower price for your medication. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! If we can ever be of help please do not hesitate to reach out.
I had a RX that my insurance won't pay for. I went to my local Wal-Mart, gave the RX and asked how much it wolf be.$93.00 for 90 days. I gace her the GoodRx coupon and she said she did't know if it will be accepted until she fills it and rings it up. I came back the next day and it rang up at $20.19. I was shocked! I have sinced gone to Publix and was charged to same discount price with coupon! It too good to be true, but it is!

Answer: Yes we do. Just present coupon to save. Have a nice day
Answer: If you have any questions, we're here to help - please email help@goodrx.com and we'll get back quickly. Pharmacists have the discretion to honor or refuse controlled substance coupons, but most of them (like 99%) will take them, which is why we list them (and indicate that they may not be accepted). Hope that helps.
Answer: Hi Terry! You will need to present the coupon to the pharmacist, usually before, they fill a prescription. If you doctor's office is willing to do so for you then it may be okay, but we would suggest you present a new coupon each time you fill or refill. Sometimes our prices fluctuate and checking the coupons may get you a deeper discount. If you, or your doctor, presented a coupon and the pharmacist, for whatever reason, says the coupon cannot be used please give us a call at 1-888-799-2553, our Advocacy Team would love to assist you! Our hours are Monday-Sunday, between the hours of 8AM and 7PM CT.
Answer: Hi there - can we help you? Head to our help section for information on how we do business.
Answer: It takes very little time. Immediately after sign up you'll receive the information you need to purchase at our discounted rates.
Answer: Hi Shirley! We list coupons for Phentermine here: https://www.goodrx.com/phentermine Please be sure to update the script details and zip code to see prices for your area.
Answer: Please give our GoodRx support team a call at 888-799-2553, so they can contact the pharmacy regarding the price discrepancy, Steve. They're available Mon-Sun, from 6 AM to 9 PM CT.
Answer: GoodRx can be used in place of Medicaid as long as the two aren't combined. Please give us a call at 888-799-2553, so we can contact the pharmacy on your behalf. We're available Mon-Sun, from 6 AM to 9 PM CT.
Answer: Great question, Don! Since GoodRx compares prices at different pharmacies, there are sometimes lower prices with a GoodRx coupon. If you have a GoodRx Gold account, you are still able to use a GoodRx coupon if you find that it offers a better price for your prescription at a pharmacy in your area.
Answer: Hello there Anita, we're sorry for your frustrating experience at Walgreens. Please give us a call so we may investigate this and reach out to the pharmacy on your behalf. We can be reached at 888-799-2553, Monday through Sunday from 8am to 7pm CT.
GoodRx has a rating of 2.8 stars from 604 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with GoodRx most frequently mention customer service, coupon price and discount card. GoodRx ranks 1st among Pharmacy sites.
Hi - the pharmacist is incorrect - Walmart changed their policies on this a few months back and it should work now. We can help - help@goodrx.com and we'll get this sorted out correctly ASAP.
