Staff are now entering accounts and removing game items from players' inventories. Some of this is malicious, from CMs and Moderators who have been named and shamed for various breaches of rules and data protection, and recently the CM announced the mass removal of hundreds of thousands of game items supposedly obtained when staff failed to notice a so-called bug/exploit in the game. So they have blamed players and have entered hundreds/thousands of accounts to remove items. This is wrong, and Moderators disclose players' data in their Discord site, which of course they control. This game is corrupt and run by moderators who actively support bullying and ridiculing players. Their CM boasts that he cannot be touched, as all complaints have to go through him. Where are the German gaming authorities to stop all this

IF i could give them a Ø I would! I have had a purchasing issue for 6 weeks now and they don't give a crap to resolve it! I can't believe companies are paying them to manage their games! They are the worst that I have ever experienced! Stay away and be WARNED! The Photo below shows how they are rejecting a card with plenty of money on it!

I have played this game for more than 2 years. There are so many bugs that the game has. A player can file a report but no changes in the game at all. Their support team absolutely does nothing. Every update comes with more bugs to add to the list of problems.

So, I made a account some time ago. When I wanted to log back in I simply couldn't. In fact I got banned... I was told to go to my email for more information, nothing that I found. I wrote an email to 'Goodgame' Empire, nothing ever heard of them. I put some money into the game yet it got me banned.
My conclusion is that the Goodgame empire devs need to go to prison because they are simply scamming you, also with the 'reductions' of the ruby's which makes you spend money, in return to get banned for no reason.

Game is set up to be free and enjoy building castle, then gradually you have to buy rubies to stay competive in the battles, kingdom league plays, unfair /disadvantageous of players. For instance new kingdom players are supposed to start at zero points and as soon as you start competing 3 *4 names will pop upin front of you with so high point advantage that you can't possibly win or even get close to ranking in the upper top, even if you play 24/7.
And always buying more rubies to have soldiers to compete, always challenges to upgrade castle, more ruby buying! Always having to buy "bread " to feed army, you guessed it buying only with rubies. If you have 100.00 a week to spend, great. And their forum is from 2013-2015 discussions, no answers to instructions of different aspects of game. Help support is nil to none except to send you to resourse info or forum that has no answers to your questions.

The 70 million might point folks (ruby whales as they are called) blast you daily even though you are under 5 million might points and spending money like mad to either a) open gates to prevent damage, b) go under the "bird" which takes 24 hours to come into effect and takes you out of the game or c) try to build defenses to contain the damage coming from 12,000 strong attacker hits.
GGE has failed to put some code of conduct to prevent those trying to play reasonably from being blasted into oblivion. This is a simple programming issue. Large might point players should be prohibited from hitting us "minnows" This is why me and my friends are quitting the game. The bullies and stalkers are alive and well on GGE and they justify their actions with nonsense phrases such as a) its a war game so too bad you are small and vulnerable and b) open your gates (which costs a lot to do every day). How can you grow with this constant bombardment GGE?
Stupidity on steroids

Ad infested paid to win game nobody should play in 2022. It used to be relatively interesting, but now it's just full of ads and predatory pop ups

If I had the type of employees working for me that GGS employs in customer support they would be immediately walked out the door and receive bus fare with directions to the nearest welfare office so that they could start collecting their food stamps.

They are condescending and not helpful at all.

In past (past 5 years) this was a fun game and a reasonable monthly budget allowed players to remain competitive. Unfortunately the recent massive offence bonuses that are being awarded to the mega spenders has made the game a waste of time and real money for the masses. Long time players are exiting the game at an alarming rate or putting their accounts into dormancy mode. My advice to GG is fix this immediately and get the word out you agree and are fixing the problem. A 254% courtyard attack bonus with 11 waves allowing 12,000 attack troops is blatantly unfair when a defending castle is in defence mode and castle wall bonuses are up and running causing double losses on purchased vet defence!

Ok, I signed onto this game around their second year in business. YEARS of playing. It was fun. Until... there is a building called the lab. It took a very LONG time to upgrade enough to make free feed. HOURS and HOURS to build up enough game cash for each upgrade, not to mention some of those upgrades take days to complete. Over the years this game added more and more competitive events. To be good at those, players opted to pack in as much production as possible, less space for deco which improves happiness and reduces cost to keep feeding/planting etc. The free feed you can make in the lab is hugely important for this type of play. Well without any warning they changed the lab. Added some other thing you can make now, don't care, but free feed? I'd have to upgrade the thing another SIXTEEN LEVELS just to get what I already worked so hard to have.

So their forum board has been exploding with complaints. At first the mods there said the team isn't happy with this either, leading everyone to believe they might undo this horrid change. But no. For over a month at least now, they have flat out been ignoring everyone. Players I've known for a long time lost all interest, some left the game for good. I have three big farms, run two teams, we all pretty much agreed to NOT participate in those intense competition type events anymore. Most players in my teams haven't even been checking in much since this change. I played every day, usually twice a day, but haven't even been checking in but every few weeks, mainly to see if they ever listened to people. Seems they have no plans to put back what they ruined. The fix could be so easy too. Put the lab back to what it was, create a new building to make new stuff. Easy right? Just say this was a mistake, sorry and fix it. Everyone I'm sure could live with that.

But I doubt anything will be put back. Old time players like me will just move on out, and newbies won't know what they missed.

Well one last word... this is not their first huge blunder. EVERY SINGLE NEW EVENT they have EVER rolled out comes packed with bugs, glitches, or just bad math. (costing more to make something then just selling the raw ingredients would earn is just stupid. Buy a 3 dollar calculator before releasing bone head stuff like this.)

So if you DO decide to try this, be warned. NEVER BLOW GOOD REAL MONEY on a game that clearly is only in it for their own greed. They can and will, usually without warning, up and change something regardless of how much time, or even real cash you put into upgrading what you had. I've seen them pull this stunt over and over.

Finally I'm done with this dumb game. Bait and switch, then ignore your players/customers? NO! Don't spend one red cent on this game and you won't be too disappointed when what ever you upgraded, how ever you spent days, weeks, months improving something, only to have them up and change things, well if it was free, all you lost was time. That's the way I look at it. It was fun while it lasted, but the thrill is gone.

The game is full of Ads, you have to pay to remove. In game rewards don't reflect players efforts or payments. The game rewards, and looks after big spenders. Game full of bugs, intimidation, threats, and risks to losing all if you don't play as others want.
Support doesn't enforce T&C, and game is full of multi accounts and pirate accounts, designed to dominate the server's, and other players. Support guilty of banning players without question, or proof of offence, and if you complain about others. Game is dying, on servers and the company just opens new alternative servers.
Terrible game and not one for any non adults due to some content in chat and messages, game wanst continuously feeding with cash and time, and can become addictive for all the wrong reasons.
LEAVE THIS GAME ALONE. A German game at its worst.

Goodgame empire is a game where you build an empire. For those of minimum knowledge of the game, you will think you can play strategically to win. It will give you a great advantage. However it took myself to build from start, $8,000 to dominate the rankings of the largest English server (top 3 without negatives). However that wasn't enough to stay there for long. It took a matter of myself being away from the game for 2 weeks to drop outside the top 10.

The game has been catered to players that spend money, so much that a player that does not spend money, but had a good skill ability is most likely the perfect candidate to be attacked. They have the ideal amount of defender to gain the most glory, but they don't hold the correct items to defend themselves. Ensuring without alliance support, they will be crushed.

To say the least, it's a horrible game. Spending $1000/month is not enough to keep you at the best possible place at all times. Even $2000/month wouldn't keep you there.

This company refuses to deal with problems that are of its own making - we now have sexual harrassment with abusive and threatening communication being accepted by GGS. There is inbalance of play, they do not back up their Terms of Service and ignore game bugs with a shrug-off response. Players seem to be able to make multiple accounts just to be able to drive other players out of the game - for fun. Makes it now quite an unpleasant game to be in. With upgrades over the past 2 years it has turned what at one time was a decent game into a moneymaking scam - if you want any decent rewards then either play 24/7, or pay. And the insults and abuse from unpleasant players is not controlled even when reported with proof by several players.

I played several events and did not get the awards offered plus I purchased commanders in outer realm and one of the commanders I did not receive the artifact below is the response after several emails.

A: I purchase commanders in Outer Realm and I did not receive the artifact for one of the commander. I am beginning to feel like GGE don't want me to play this game any longer because there is always a problem.

The packages "Legacy of the goat cult" bought with coins did contain the artefact "Long lost cupcake" and one was sold for 12 000 gold coins at 7:47PM on the 6th.

As stated in the correspondences I did not sell anything it was never receive so I suggest do not purchase any rubies or anything with real money. They are horrible company.

At the end of the New Horizons event I did not get my advertised awards. When I put in a support complaint I was not given satisfaction. Now, on all events I take screen shots during the last 2 min of the game of my ranking as well as screenshots of the awards for that ranking. I make sure to include the date and time on my screen in the screenshot. If tokens are involved, coins, troops, etc. I also take screen shots of my current inventory of those items. It is VERY sad that gge is not more reliable and gamers must protect themselves from gge rip offs!

I had started Good Game Empire about 16 years ago. They had then a few Outfits for your commanders and castellans but very Expensive so most Players got there Equipment from attacking Towers. Today they are pretty much Obsolete, you can Win some in Events but it cost you, you can level the relic items you get but it cost you. Then we may had one Offer a Week, today there are several Constantly. If you want to go on a Shopping Spree you can Spend every day Thousands of Dollars but that would be insane but Players that spend Hundreds and Thousands every Month are pretty common now. Of course you don't stand a chance against them and with the constant offers for up to 4 more Waves ( for now, I am sure they will come out with more waves) even if you have 100k defenders in your Castle it is Costly to defend. So to cut it Short, this Game has very little anymore of a Game, it has become to some a second way of Life and identity and they pay large sums to get there daily fixes of being a " badass| and Strong feared. I picture myself them in real Life as very weak and insignificant beings because nobody in there right Mind would pay so much Money in a Game CONSTANTLY and when you quit you have NOTHING. You cannot sell it, even if you find someone stupid enough to take the chance of Buying your Castles, nobody is giving you not even remotely of what you put in and if GGE finds out then that Account is closed and that fool who bought your stuff walks away empty handed because it is against the Rules to Buy and Sell your Accounts. GGE wants your Money, you quit and another comes and the Money Pit continues. My Advice, Stay away

Goodgame Studios are careful to stay within legal bounds in terms of gambling features and misleading advertising within the game - but that leaves a whole lot of room for bombarding players with "1 time only" specials and a host of "game of chance" features which only barely escape gambling legislation because the legal definition does not include in game currency (which, of course, is usually bought with real money!). It is one of the most money focussed games I know of and certainly falls into the "pay to win" category at high level.
Recommended strategy is to decide what you consider to be a reasonable and affordable budget and stick to it - potential for spending is enormous if allowed to get out of control.
Alternatively you can just play up to lvl50ish - which need not involve any spending at all - then allow the account to fall into disuse and restart playing with a new player name. This is the option I would recommend for young players, they can learn how the game works and what is or isn't worthwhile in terms of potential spending so that, if they decide to continue to higher level when a more mature, they will be getting best value from any purchases.
