This is a crap company, providing crap service. No support, bad response times for issues, incompetent staff. Not much else to say - look elsewhere.
I am agree with "Chuck C." 10/10 to Godaddy for notification mails and calls regarding domain expiring. But feedback calls are really annoying

Being with them for 10 years now, i gotta say pretty good! This is my go to place to buy a domain name.

I have 50 screenshots on my phone for the run-around for credits on random auto-renewals on random things including supposed free domains, the kind that end with.godaddy.com. You must check your account and look for auto renews that won't show up until a whole year later... by then it's too late. Any free email, hosting ideas and creative things you have set-up and forgotten about may come to haunt you later. And that is IF you even catch them, often on your PayPal. Whatever you do, use your bank when you set it up so you can dispute easier later. The WORST isn't even that, it's the run-around nonsense in customer service, saying the refund is coming then not coming. They hid all the text content too, so I had no proof of our conversations (so you need to screenshot as you go) I seriously think it can ONLY BE THAT their competition hires out spies to go in and ruin Godaddy reputation because no one can be "that" stupid or desperate to keep customers money. I have all the screen shots to prove it... tons, its horrible! I am sorry for anyone that gets stuck with dealing with them. Or payments that can't afford because they can't even deal with the customer service ding-dongs to get a credit. To add to all that my entire website (many pages with 3 domains) was deleted when I asked for a refund on some other annual Microsoft charge (?) even though I had moved it into a free-domain until I could come up with a new domain to purchase and use. And just getting them to verify your account will surely make you crazy as it did me. A great distraction to make me give up? Maybe...
Too bad I didn't see all the other bad reviews of GoDaddy first... I've suffered with them for a few years and it's hard to make the jump but I'm going to leave and learn over.

DO NOT USE GoDaddy Auctions to buy a domain! You have to pay a membership to join and bid. You can start an auction and bid, but you can never see what the other bids are, or what the top bid is. I was in a 30 day auction and at the end of the 30 days somehow the auction renewed for another 88 days. These people are scammers who hold domains and then auction them when 100 people view the domain name. But it is not an auction - it is perhaps a silent auction but it is really a scam - becasue they renew the auction to get a higher price. Nothing is so worthless in this world than Scumbags who buy and hold domain names that they do not need or use, so that no one else can use the domain - unless they pay GoDaddy auctions.
Oh yeah, and I stopped webhosting with GoDaddy 4 years ago, because the webspeed was slow and expensive, and when i complained I was told that they have fast email! Fast email - who cares? I want fast internet fo rmy website. Never use this foolish and dishonest and unethical website.

Furthermore, despite my numerous attempts to reach out for resolution, I have received no response from your team. Due to these ongoing problems, I had no choice but to take my business elsewhere. I have transferred all of my domain names and hosting packages to a competitor who values my patronage and provides the level of service I expect as a paying customer.
It is truly disheartening to see that a company as prominent as GoDaddy, with a reputation for its services, has let its customers down so profoundly. I expected better from a company of your stature and reputation.
I hope that this formal complaint prompts you to review your customer service practices and communication procedures. Customers should not be driven away due to poor service and a complete lack of response to their concerns. I would appreciate it if someone from your team could finally acknowledge this complaint and provide a resolution.

I have used this company extensively over the past few years but yesterday I received a very aggressive letter from their collection agency which is called Certegy Payment Solutions. I called GoDaddy and they confirmed that I do not owe them anything but when I called Certegy the Lady I spoke to was very aggressive and told me that I owe Certegy $168.03 which they, paid to GoDaddy for renewals on my account?! Obviously GoDaddy gave my confidential private information to this collection agency without my authorization so how secure is your data with GoDaddy? The when I call them the only solution offered by GoDaddy was to send an email to their legal dept and to their HQ? So, they can release your information to a third party providing the third party with false information about their customer, me and now Certegy are threatening to wreck my credit over a debt that according to me and, to GoDaddy I do not owe. So buyer beware, GoDaddy is dealing with some very shady entities that out of nowhere can get your private information and then threaten GoDaddy customers with debts that even GoDaddy admits, are not owed? Seems insane!
I started making my small business website on Go Daddy for free! OR SO I THOUGHT... What turned out to be a free dream come true, quickly turned into a nightmare for me and my small business. YOU SAID FREE! I shouldn't have to pay to build a website that is on the internet, THE INTERNET IS A FREE PLACE FOR PEOPLE. Why do they get to see my website for free and I have to pay. Psh, Go Daddy, MORE LIKE NO DADDY! Plz no daddy, no more.
They will not even allow us to change our own Domain A records! Then our CSR support is literally the worst!

Answer: Do not use this company. Go daddy excessive fees, will keep adding fees claiming lack of security, and also has a policy that will ask for private information such as passport, license if you ever change your phone number even though they will talk to you on the phone.
