I used to promote godaddy to thousands because I was so impressed when I called, I would get a person on the phone right away that spoke clear English and knew how to fix my problem. Now all you get is a call center overseas that puts you on hold for 20 minutes to read what you are talking about and half the time can't resolve the issue.
Or i get cut off after 20 minutes on hold and have to start all over.
Today after being on the phone for 45 minutes because I wanted to resolve an issue about Godaddy cancelling email forwarding and all 100 plus emails I have setup over the years, I was told I now had to pay and when i asked for another option i was disconnected.
So this is what I wrote the service rep;
So after wasting 47 minutes of my time, you are now telling me that Godaddy will no longer forward all the emails I have set up and that I would have to pay you about 550.00 a MONTH to keeps these emails?
You must be insane if you think anyone would be stupid enough to do this.
This needs to be reported and the Godaddy team needs to know that after 45 minutes your solution to my problem would be to fork over seventy one thousand dollars (the price of a home where your from) over the next 10 years for this service, for a simple email forwarding of the current emails set up with godaddy.
Unbelievable!

I called because I noticed when pulling my website up it had been turned off. I called to inquire and told I missed the date for the website builder renewal and my options were to rebuild my website or pay $60 to get the tech team to release it. Building that site was approximately a 50 hour endeavor and if I rebuild it it WILL NOT be with your product. I had been paying with an account credit recently because I had been refunded from where you overcharged me so you corrected the mistake you made and I'm happy to correct in paying the monthly fee and I would understand paying a late fee but $60 is an exorbitant fee for the tech team to simply release my site information, they aren't having to rebuild them. I have gotten quotes from other hosting services that are more cost effective and one that even includes an app I would like to get past this and remain a customer but I will not do so with an unreasonable charge to restore my site pages. I want to continue with an amicable solution for both sides but even when speaking to supervisors their stance is there is nothing anyone can do. I still had a credit from where they had overcharged me but you can't auto renew with account credits and I had been dealing with immensely stressful family issues including a son in and out of the hospital with seizures and a mother entering hospice care and they do not care the circumstances even though credit was there to cover it. I have investigated other hosting companies and would never recommend them with how they treated me and took advantage to get an exorbitant extra fee.
I've been with GoDaddy so many yrs but few yrs ago GoDaddy promise to create a good website for $2000
Avoid them as a website developers, it takes them weeks and weeks just to start. I have had a continuing problem month, i called to GoDaddy and customer service didn't know how to handle refund, which would them take days to actually solve my issue.
Few weeks ago i find out my website down, i immediately contact GoDaddy the support person told me they delete my website from GoDaddy because one of my cc didn't work, but i had on file second cc.
GoDaddy would't care much. I LOST MY WEBSITE, I LOST MY BUSiNESS, I LOST MY CUSTOMERS.
I don't now how long will takes until i will recover.
Looking to add Sharepoint and One Drive to our company account with GoDaddy but this was not possible and the only solution was to quit go Daddy for emails and move to Microsoft directly which is cheaper and they have a better customer service. The recommendation is to go straight to Microsoft
Last guy I spoke there turned me off Go Daddy for life. I had a call scheduled for him and I had forgot to email him my phone number. So just before the call time, I saw his email asking me to email him my number. I did. Then he was late calling. So emailed him asking if he had received my email with phone number. Here is his exact reply to me.
YES I received it! I'm on a call that went over! Very rude and unprofessional. Then on the call they always like to try and make it as confusing as possible. To make us think we don't know anything. Near the end of the call I think he asked if I wanted to do the hosting package for my new company, I said I wanted to shop around and do more research. Again, this was his response to me saying that. I don't think you'll find anyone will to talk to you for 2 hours. (he meant from the call yesterday and today). Needless to say, that sealed the deal for a lifetime of NEVER using this company. By the way I look at my phone for the times of those 2 calls One was 42 mins the other 25 minutes, oh and isn't your job to talk to us? After doing my research I found an outstanding host company and I'm happy with my choice. Customer service doesn't disrespect me or talk down to me and are very easy to get a hold of and help right away. I can't prove it, but I highly suspect some sabotaging going on towards me as well. These guys had my company name, and took some urls that had my name in it. Plus other shady stuff. Don't use them. Do you research.
Tell you you're approved to take payments online. Then tell you you're not approved and they pulled $489 out of my bank for fees. If I'm not approved then why am I paying fees?
I regret the day I spent $3k for these incompetent jerks to build and host my new website. Broken english, language barriers, untrained customer service. If I could cancel and get a refund I would.
It is very hard to get rid of a privacy account when renewing. It is like they don't want to let you save that money or something. Not sure I understand why they have it set up like they do.
They are providing worst customer care I have ever gone through. Instead of hearing our complaints, they interested only to make us proceed to make payment.
Don't use the domain buying service - I wanted to buy a domain that someone else owned, so I sucked it up and paid GoDaddy $60 to negotiate a purchase. Firstly, using the domain buying service is really tricky. They send you to some other website where you have to get a new log in (can't use your normal GoDaddy one), and it's impossible to navigate. GoDaddy also tried to sell you like 100 other products in the process.
So I finally get the process going - GoDaddy then "appraises" the domain you're trying to buy (it seems arbitrary, but they say it's based on the length, popularity, etc.) and then you decide how much you want to offer and then GoDaddy is supposed to contact the website owner and negotiate the purchase.
I took GoDaddy's advice and had them offer the website owner the appraisal amount. But then GoDaddy spent and entire month trying to contact the website owner and NOTHING. No response. $60 completely wasted.
The worst part is, I decided I would try to email the website owner myself. Sure enough the guy gets right back to me and said he thought the GoDaddy offer was just SPAM. So I would advise anyone considering the GoDaddy domain buying service to avoid using it. And if you must, it's probably worth trying to contact the website yourself before wasting your money with GoDaddy.
They are a rip off for selling you your first domain names at a discounted price and dont tell you that the price to renew will be completely different and give no discounts for renewing.
What they also do purposely is when you search domain names they will fool you and have them show up in the search results when they are not available at all and are registered. This is a fact as i have searched my own domain names that i own they appear as available as far as going in to the shopping cart and when you go to buy then are not there.
TOTAL FRAUD SCAM AND THEY KNOW IT
I have been using GoDaddy for the last 5 years. I haven't had any problems with them. Good promotions let you buy domains at a good price. Easy to buy, easy to use. I like it.
Amongst the worst customer service ever! Charge for things where service is not provided, waste time on calls to customer service that forever to answer and then a disconnected without a result. All emails from them are "donotreply" emails. CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT EXIST.
We bought 3 domain names and invested money in printing and making products and without informing use this cheat company godaddy sold SOLD our website name domain name to someone and now they selling it
How can they do that complete CHEAT FRAUD company beware we lost money because of them CHEAT company they will sell your date for money that is business they do beware
Not good company for doing any business with them
Godaddy is one of the best domain name provider having lot of extensions. The migration was totally done professional and the tech team was really good to clear all the queries quickly.
Didn't care i have disability and was trying hard to make my payment. After three years they refused to give me extension. That was after they auto billed me for one product without my permission.
The Economy Hosting Package is an UNsecured site. If you wish to install an SSL certificate, Go Daddy will ask you to pay more. And it's not cheap. If you choose to use Cloudflare, they will point to this as being the cause for the issues you face. Even though its not.
I have had Error524 on my site, making it regularly inaccessible for over six months. The Error clarly states that the issue is with the HOST, but they send you from to pillar to post with 'solutions', to tire you out, and dodge the bullet. The diagnoses from Support are not consistent.
They "guarantee 99.9%" uptime, but this is a lie. The uptime is terrible, and after over six months and countless hours online with their support team, I still have no resolution.
Don't expect a refund, because they won't give you a refund after 30 days.
My site has never even gone live, and it is the most basic of sites, with the most basic of content... which is regularly inaccessible.
I am certain their product could be better, but it would cost significantly more after buying all the add-ons and upgrades that their support team recommend though. So it is definitely NOT 'Economy".
My site is https://philennaidu.com
I am an author, musician, community developer, food guru, nutritionist, and healer.
Scammers, i bought a domain for amount 1050 and they gave a free access to webbuilder. Once i published the website after few days they told me that i bought hosting with marketing plans, which i never did. Despite i informed the live chat representative I'm not interested in marketing etc i was charged for that and amount was deducted automatically. She told me they will unpublish my website if I'll not pay for marketing. I said no problem unpublish it but they deducted amount without my consent. Their plan are too expensive as compared to other competitors.
Intersting part i don't require any marketing. They showed me 400/month and charged 1300/month. ******* in total but deducted amount *******
No.1 online Fraud,
Additionally, live option vanished since they deducted amount. Now only option is call them, which is too expensive to reach out. You can't remove your card from their website so they can deduct any amount whenever and how much they want. They are swindlers better stay away from them.
In photos you can see 3 orders i ordered only domain rest was forcefully implied.
Very well-known service and I have to say I have never had any issues with the hosting itself. But the customer service definitely has some room for improvements.
Four things really bother me about GoDaddy.com. One is their incessant "customer service" phone calls whenever you have a domain expiring. Related to this are their even more annoying calls from customer service asking you how they are doing and if you are happy with their service and if there is anything they can help you. STOP CALLING ME ABOUT THIS CRAP.
The second thing is that they send you a TON of emails. Really really spammy feel. Also a lot of times the sales coupon codes they send you don't even work.
Third thing is that when you register a domain, you have to go through (seemingly) a million pages of web tools and options that you can purchase. No, I only want to register a domain thank you very much.
The fourth and last thing is that I've done some light web hosting (shared hosting not dedicated hosting) of some less important websites through GoDaddy. (I would never attempt to host anything important on GoDaddy.) Their hosting tools are terrible, outdated, and slow; and often your site will lock up and be very school. Utterly ridiculous. After reporting many times about a slow website, they moved me to another shared host and it was still slow. Really really bad.
They have some great deals on some domain registration and other web stuff, so I only rate it a MEH not $#@!.
Answer: Do not use this company. Go daddy excessive fees, will keep adding fees claiming lack of security, and also has a policy that will ask for private information such as passport, license if you ever change your phone number even though they will talk to you on the phone.
Answer: We offer an easy to use E-Commerce website builder. Here is a link where you can sign up for a free trial: https://www.godaddy.com/websites/online-store
Answer: Did you have any luck with this. We have been ripped off by them for 4 years and have only just succeeded in closing the account. Thanks for posting.
