Returns

Girotti advertises free returns but I was charged $225 from fedex and girotti refused to pay it. I used downloaded mailing label and sent back shoes unworn. They claim a mistake on mailing label which they acknowledge but never correct. Stay Away!

I ordered 6 shoes, individually, on January 30,2021. I have not yet received a single one after more than 1 month. I regret investing so much money without reading reviews. Beautiful photos do not mean good service and product. Their service is certainly awful. I hope that the shoes will be not as bad as the service. I will report on the shoes when I receive them.

Very bad experience

Very bad experience. I waited months for my shoes, which didn't fit, and sent them back but they're not issuing the refund. Beware! Avoid!

Return Policy is a SCAM
September 23, 2020

I received the wrong shoes and asked to return them. I was told I would get a refund plus return shipping costs ($62.00). I used the return form "Ellie" sent me (which is also on their website). She told me to use the address on the return form, which I did. Months later, I got the returned shoes back - either they refused delivery or they have the wrong address on their return form. I believe they purposely refused the delivery. I emailed and called - no one will respond to me. I am not paying another $62 to return them AGAIN. They would probably just refuse delivery again anyway. This company is a SCAM. NEVER buy from them!

Colours are much lighter which I don't mind. But the sides bulge out, a bad fit. The suede is not good quality either. CAD$140 definitely not worth it. Online shopping is risky.

Best shoes ever

Super thankful to my wife who showed me Girotti. I ordered 6 pair, 5 of them arrived on time. I had problem with the last pair but Girotti was super responsive and help me to return my shoes, also they send the right pair super fast and in 2 weeks I had my shoes. Fabulous!

DO NOT BUY

Purchased custom brogue boots in Nov 2019 with advertised 2-week shipping. Shoes did not arrive until late January 2020. Boots were DEFECTIVE in craft with unsightly pen marks and stain smudges and were not made to size specified.

Advertised free returns but had to pay out of pocket $62.96 USD to return as they refused to provide prepaid return label within return window.

Shipped return in February 2020. Tracking shows received by customs in Milan February 22 2020.

Discussed remake options with Ellie - she determined they would not do a remake and would issue immediate refund and reimbursement for out of pocket return shipping costs. That was May 2020.

As of June 13, no refund or reimbursement for out of pocket return shipping costs received. Contacted customer service and was again told by Ellie that she would instruct her accounting department to immediately issue a refund and reimbursement for out of pocket return shipping costs as promised.

As of July 30, still no refund receive or reimbursement for out of pocket return shipping has been received. Just found the original shoes on my doorstep marked "return refused" on July 2nd 2020 meaning it was 4 months after shipping it back before they refused it - package was never opened or inspected by Girotti (I put a security mark between layers of tape which was not disturbed).

Ellie has lied repeatedly about issuing a refund and reimbursement for return shipping costs. I have reached out repeatedly and Ellie continues to lie with assurances she was directing her accounting department to issue refund/reimbursement.

STAY AWAY!

Garbage company. Terrible response time. They took my money and didn't honor their return policy or offer a refund. PayPal was of no help either, because I kept getting put off by the company and gave them the benefit of the doubt that they would make good on what they promised. The time for dispute ellapsed with PayPal, another garbage service. Lesson learned. Don't make the same mistake. Think twice about doing business outside of the States, but definitely DON'T do business with Girotti. If this posting seems harsh, you would be upset too if you lost $200 USD.

I purchased some boots from this company months ago but they were too small. So on top of paying $159 for the boots, I spent another $60 sending them back. I have reached out to Girotti several times but they refuse to respond. The thing is most of their reviews come from overseas. When they deal with Americans the reviews are bad. This indicates they do not respect us as a culture and it cost them too much to stand by their promise of "free return" & "free remake." At this point all I want is my money back. Remember, it is worth paying more to get better service and a better product. If you are from the United States please do not consider this company. They will quickly take your money but evade you if there are any issues. The "One and only" Italian Girotti will evade you make you feel regretful. My fellow Americans, we deserve better.

BEWARE! As a Consumer Psychologist, I am truly committed to informing other consumers about both rogue traders and those that are exceptional. Girotti International: girottishoes.com unfortunately sit in the 'rogue traders' basket. They promise you the world... take your money and never deliver. I have had numerous communications from them in relation to a pair of shoes I ordered nearly 3 months ago. Their T&Cs say they are delivered between 1 and 2 weeks after order by UPS. They have written to me on several occasions saying the shoes have been posted and when asked for tracking information, they never reply. One communication said they'd sent them by Royal Mail. They constantly lie to you saying they are posted and will be delivered the following week. JUST DON'T BUY FROM THEM. I have currently opened a case against them in PayPal and will now report them to the Traders Association and every other consumer body and social platform in order to protect others from their misleading and dishonest business practices. Consumers are really losing faith with purchasing online as there's nearly always a level of deceit and misfortune. It's companies like this that create distrust in the market place especially with online shopping. AVOID!
