I have nothing good to say. I measured my feet per their requirements, the shoes arrived and were PAINFUL--the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever purchased. I ordered the shoes on April 11, they arrived on May 9, Girotti told me to re-measure and they would send another pair. I informed them that I needed the shoes for an event on June 4. They were completely uncooperative and insisted that they only send me another size. The REFUSED TO REFUND my money. I am working with my credit card company to resolved the payment issue.

Good leather

Good leather and leather work, but clunky heavy plastic soles on a lot of their shoes and boots. Their prices have also doubled in the past two years. From 99.00 to 186.00 for the same shoes. I would like to see some classy smooth leather soles on the flats and sandals and maybe some low stacked heels with wood and leather instead of plastic. The leather is too nice to gunk it up with a cheap plastic sole, especially when you're paying 200.00 for a pair of flats. I am a repeat Girotti buyer, but the new prices are a deterrent. They need to have a really good sale once in a while and with regard to the soles, try to keep it classy, Girotti. I barely wear my boots, because they are so heavy that I wind up walking like Frankenstein. They're cute, but my legs get tired when I just think about wearing them. I cant add photos from this computer, but there is nothing wrong to see with the shoes, other than the heavy soles, which you can see on the website.

First off… these shoes look and feel beautiful.
But they do not fit.
I measured my foot and used my existing sizes on my shoes (43 and wide) and the size was wrong.
Yes, I am outside the 14 day return policy (which I wasn't aware of and clearly missed) and received them while I had Covid and didn't try looking at them or trying to do a return/exchange until I was better. I tried to contact them around 20 days after receiving them and they would not budge on return/exchange.
Stating " impossible for us to bypass the system restrictions for returns, so as much as we'd like to offer the exchange, we won't be able to."
They offered me a discount:
"Please accept our apologies in this case, and the following promo code for 10% off your next Girotti order: Girotti2022"
I will not be using it and I am out of pocket $304 aus dollars. Such a shame because I was interested in buying more but can't support poor customer service.

HORRIBLE PRODUCT; HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This was easily the worst online, overseas purchase I've ever made.
My advice - NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, get shoes from this company.
It took over a month for me to receive my shoe and shoes were poorly made. Wrong size and damaged. I was also charged for (3) pair I only ordered (2)and only received (2).
They say 'Free Delivery and Return' on their website very prominently, but don't tell you it's not a free return, it's a free exchange instead. They expect you to read their website for this. The thing is, most people don't. As a person who shops online in the US, 'Free returns' means 'Free Returns. It certainly does not mean 'Free Exchange'. Their customer service is poor.
I am truly committed to informing other consumers about both rogue traders and those that are exceptional.
girottishoes.com unfortunately sit in the 'rogue traders' basket. They promise you the world... take your money and never deliver.
Girttishoes.com is a garbage company. Terrible response time.
They don't honor their own policies - so what you see on their website regarding returns, exchanges etc is not to be believed.

HORRIBLE PRODUCT; HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This was easily the worst online, overseas purchase I've ever made. The shoes arrived with the stain on the sole missing and scratched off. On day 2 of wear, the chain broke. I MISTAKENLY IMPLIED to them that I would have my cobbler fix the stain because the shoes took not 2 weeks as promised, but 2 months. When the chain broke on day 2 of indoor wear I emailed that I wanted a refund which was sharply rejected. I spoke with Catherine in customer service and she flat out wouldn't reason with me or let me speak to a manager. I actually doubt this is an authentic European Italian company but rather a front for something else. Proceed with caution with your online purchases; all that glitters isn't gold. (***My pictures were taken after 2 days of wear, 4 days after I received them)

I order a pair of Shoes in size 9 they came in a size 10.5 at least, shoes are way to big and cut funny, With a very high and painful cut that hits the anckle. Tried to get my money back denied me, now Ive been trying to get a different size, they have blocked all my numbers and will not take my calls. If I could tell you anything please do not purchase anything from this company, I do not have the words as a pastor that would properly convey my HATE of this COMPANY and their practices.

If you have normal feet, you're going to want to take a pass on this shoemaker. I've ordered 4 pairs of shoes. Two pair fit "okay," although the quality of the material is just so-so.

Two pair appear to have been made for people feet like pencils, and unless you like feeling like all your toes have been squished into one, then, well, these shoes aren't going to be okay for you.

After all the time it took to get them, too, I'm never going to bother with them again. I'm trying to stretch the two pair that don't fit as much as I can. But it won't surprise me if I just have to throw them away.

Only shoes where I could order them in "Extra Large" width fit, and even those are a little tight. I knew the other two pair were narrower (no "Extra Large" width option), so I went with a larger size. In the picture, I'm holding my finger where the very end of my toe is. I had a hard time getting my feet in, even with a shoe horn. And if I'd gone any larger, I would have looked like those guys from Medieval times with the big long pointy-toed shoes.

Goofy company. As lovely as they are, Girotti shoes simply won't fit if your feet are over size 9. I'm a 9.5. I sent them precise measurements and a paper pattern. Got the shoes, very quickly, and they were beautifully made. But they were too small. I sent them back and asked for a half size larger. They sent back the first pair, and told me that they don't make shoes over size 9. I asked for the men's size. No response. Then they sent me another pair. Precisely the same--they didn't fit either. On this second go, they didn't respond to my requests as to what to do next, and didn't issue a refund. So I have two identical pairs of shoes, neither of which fit. And it's not a language issue--I was dealing with the New York office.

Beautiful shoes, but will not return them

They promise that you can return if they do not fit, and i waited 3 months for them to arrive, then they did not fit, i just want to return for credit (over $500.00) and they won't. I wish i would not have ordered. Terrible, terrible service.

RUN! DO NOT ORDER!

I placed an order in August 2021 for a pair of shoes. Nothing special. Nothing custom. Just a size 10. After countless emails requesting help, it is now 2/11/22 and still no shoes. They won't cancel as they say they are custom. My credit card company will cancel. This has been a complete nightmare.

Do not buy!

It's my first time writing a review. I'm 44 and I never got that scammed. $250 for a shoe made out of vinyl, and they didn't wanna take it back. The cream part at the toes was dirty, and I will never be able to wear these shoes. These are asolutely shoes made out of cardboard and vinyl. You will regret even u spend $20 on them.

I purchased a pair of boots in October from this company and realized it's December and I haven't received my boots yet. I looked it up and it said it was delivered. Upon calling the company, the young lady said the shipping company said they were unable to deliver the boots and the boots are on their way back. But, don't worry ai will receive an email in 1 day in telling me about when to expect my refund. Instead I got an email saying they will not refund me my money because it was a problem with the shipping company. Here's the problem I didn't hire the shipping company they chose to use that shipping company. These people are a complete fraud and rip off! Don't purchase anything from them.

I ordered custom shoes - both design and fit, from Girotti and the didn't fit. As per their terms and conditions they say their policy is they will remake custom shoes once. But they refused to remake, exchange, or allow for a return. I purchased from them for the first time based on their policy. Terribly disappointing. Communication was also poor. I recommend anyone that experiences the same to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.

First, they consider ANY order a custom order. That includes purchasing a normal size of a standard model right off of their site. I am not certain what there turn around time is, as after a month they have still not arrived despite being 'on their way' for the last two weeks. The even I had ordered them for has come and gone. They have refused to cancel the order, work with me on price to cover my shoe rental expense, provide any level of real customer service. They said it would be 'illegal' to refund any portion of my order which was a laughable response. Then a week ago they went on sale 25% off which would have easily covered my shoe rental. Whatever the case, I wouldn't engage with this company for any reason. Awful customer care, and I still haven't received the product.

Hands off! It's a trap. Although ordering the shoes is simply done "with a click of the mouse", as is usual in the industry, it is only afterwards that it becomes clear what this really means: the shop uses the term "personalisation" to prevent refunds. This is in no way personalised, but just normal shoes.

Know too that it's a 14-day return, whoops, EXCHANGE, not the normal 30-day supposed 'Return' and given the shoes come from Italy it takes awhile.

I got my shoes and they turned out big. One didn't look like what they showed on their website. Their chart box is not user-friendly at all and I am still not able to figure out my size.

Only 2 arrived and too big, and the lady told me to wait for the 3rd. I needed to use the shoes for a wedding and had to buy new shoes. The customer service overall was most unhelpful. They didn't listen to me, refuse now to take back my shoes which are too big for me! Horrible service.

Don't buy shoes from them!

My patients is waning

Ordered a pair of shoes took some time to come They just didn't fit The shoes instep was too long for my foot.
So they said sorry we only do returns if the shoe is damaged. I explained to them that I wasn't looking for a refund I just wanted credit to purchase another style, with a shorter instep, that would be more suitable for my feet. They agreed, but now I'm waiting weeks for the return address label This company has poor customer service I'm still waiting

Very disappointed

It took over a month for me to receive my shoe and shoes were poorly made. Could smell shoe glue all over it. Their customer service was very poor when I wanted make changes to my order. Am very disappointed with their product and will not recommend anyone to buy from them.

Good experience

I prefer to shop in physical shops but when my sister told me about Girotti and couldn't resist and order one pair of ankle boots. I was so excited to design them and sooooo happy when they arrived. My husband someties makes a jokes because I alway wear only them ( and believe me I have soo many pairs... :D ) Can't wait to order again!
