I called to place an order for an expensive chandelier on their website. They took my order, charged my card immediately and sent me an email confirmation. They emailed me your item has shipped with a UPS tracking number. Two weeks later the UPS tracking number still said processed and label created. It was never sent. It turns out that item was out of stock! So why did they take my order, charge me and tell me it shipped? The sad thing is this sort of thing keeps happening to me as I am trying to furnish my place. So many shady companies out there!

I purchased lamps and had them shipped to Canada. They didn't work out for the room so I had to ship them back from Canada. I dealt with Tyler. When we ran into some issues with Fedex, he showed both patience and exquisite customer service practices. He stayed the course until we got it sorted out and was super about it. That said, the prices to ship something back from Canada are crazy expensive so I won't take the risk again unless the company figures out how to decrease these costs... and hopefully, I'll get to deal with Tyler again.

I purchased some barstools for my kitchen in Oct 2015 and have been happy with them. However recently I was sitting in one and put my foot down on the footrest to reposition in the seat and it snapped off! First, I am by no means a large person. Second, these stools are virtually never used as it is just my husband and I at home. I contacted France and Son and they said that it had been too long (2 years and 4 months and you will not stand by your "quality" furniture?) and that they could only offer a "small" discount on a new stool. I do not care to do business with companies that do not stand by their products. I have purchased many items from Birch Lane who does. My business will go there and to similar counterparts.

My fiance and I are furnishing our vacation home and decided to buy a few things here. We bought some pillows, mirrors, some table top accessories, and a sofa. We got everything on time when we needed them, and everything fit our house perfectly. The sofa is so comfortable too. I love it!

Everything is high quality, and I'm honestly surprised at how well everything went. Would highly recommend them, and plan on purchasing more from them in the future!

I ordered a table through france and son and was frustrated at how I couldn't get an update on processing or even shipping. They'd send me links that lead nowhere. I received the table that I ordered and I received the wrong table. I personally misplaced my order. That was my fault. I wanted the larger table and bought the very small one. I wanted to return the table to buy the other. The return fee was almost $500! On their site they mention you'll have to pay shipping back(not a restocking fee) but don't mention that not only do they charge shipping but throw whatever number on top of that they'd like to get some kind of extra cash out of you. Their responses are very very slow as if to talk you out of returning anything.

Really really dissatisfied with the customer service. You'd think when you're paying a high dollar for quality items it might come with quality customer service. Ikea has better customer service and return policies than this place.

Avoid this store at all costs. I ordered a lamp online from this store. The lamp cost $175. The lamp arrived not as described on the website. I returned the lamp. They only refunded $95. They refused to refund the other $80 claiming that the lamp cost $80 to return ship. I checked shipping and the lamp did not cost $80 to return ship. Not even close. Then when I complained, they were rude and asked me why I was bothering them about shipping costs. Rich was especially awful. Please note that I have only one review in my entire life and this is it. Rich was that bad and the lamp sucked that bad. Finally, I think they may be engaging in shady business practices by claiming that return shipping costs more than it does. I highly and vigorously recommend that you shop elsewhere...

It was love at first sight... I ended up venturing into the France and Son Warehouse this summer in pursuit of a breathtaking light fixture I had tracked down online. I wandered around and fell in love with a number of pieces. When one of the pieces didn't end up working for my newly renovated beach house (i was distraught), I reached out to inquire about returning the item and was directed to Richard. Eager to help me deal with the disappointment of my failed purchase, he could not have been more accommodating and kind. I ended up getting a store credit and using it on the spot for two exquisite items. What a positive experience.

I love France and Son because of their design aesthetic and because their pieces are unlike anything else out there. Whether looking for a grand focal piece or an accent piece, I found my go to source and am so appreciative for the superior service provided by Richard:-)

For anyone that has been to their store I don't need to explainbut until you been to the store you have never seen such a nice furniture store in Manhattan the selection of the customer service is second to none I swear and I am and that I like that I was even able to buy it and take it home with me that night and the customer service people they were so friendly acting up and help you get it in My car. After discovering the store I don't think I will shop anywhere else I strongly encourage my friends to visit this is something from your home
