My account was closed without any clear reason, which caused losses for both me and my clients. The Flippa support team made decisions without thorough consideration, and their level of expertise is quite limited. Flippa should ensure to have experienced professionals in their support team so that they can respond only after thoroughly reviewing each issue.
I had a very disappointing experience with this company. The support team was disrespectful and unhelpful. After reporting an issue, they suspended my account without giving a valid reason. Additionally, Flippa charged me for a listing but failed to deliver the promised service. I felt my privacy was violated, and the support manager in Europe was particularly unprofessional. Overall, I do not recommend dealing with this company.
When I start valuation, they take my listing draft and my $99. But I tried to list one website. Those 2 drafts were not completed but they cut the payment. And their support is totally rubbish. Reply after 2/3 days later.
I am just tell they are scam. Ignore #Flippa.
1. A few years ago, I fell for a $1,500 scam despite everything looking great and legit in the due diligence. Then exactly 4 days after the money transfer and the asset handover, I figured out that this was scam and I contacted support. They said they released the money already although their policy says the money release takes 7 days. Zero customer care.
2. Four months after that, I noticed a similar listing on their website so I contacted them to warn them and try save others. But their response was meaningless and they just let the next victim fall for it. Zero customer care.
In case your account is suspended by Flippa (fraud) team, please don't pay the invoice they ask you to pay. Once you complete invoices and make payments, the Flippa (Fraud) will ban your account stating different terms which are not disclosed and may they show a connections with other accounts as well.
We expect all of our users to comply with our Terms of Service, which are agreed to when you create a Flippa account and again before any listing is launched. These Terms include the obligation to pay our listing package fees and a Success Fee upon completion of a successful sale. Whenever we discover actions by users which seriously contravene our Terms and endanger other users and our marketplace integrity, we take quick action to remove them from Flippa.
Don't join flippa, they are a bunch of scammers They Ban my account and stole my listing fees and advertising payments.
They Send me fake buyers and ban me for no reasons and keep creating excuse each time i join them.
Take care, i will be sure to fight this scammers to last breath and write articles about there scamms everywhere.
Excellent support as always. I have been using Flippa full time now for three years and I can't emphasise how great that support has been on the platform. I always get a responce from Flippa within 24 hours which helps me to sell my stores and is one of the reasons why I prefer Flippa over a number of other website selling platforms I have tried. Thanks team! - Eddie
Even after closing a sale, it took over a month for the funds to be placed and cleared in an escrow account. When the funds finally cleared, I turned over my assets to the buyer in under 24 hours. The buyer then clicked the "clear funds" button in the "Complete My Deal" tab. Despite doing so, Flippa refused to transfer the funds into my account because of an email floating in the ether. This email was supposed to confirm the release, despite the buyer already doing so. Flippa did not care, and was very unresponsive and uncaring about the entire deal. As of writing this, I still do not have my $10,000 and do not have my Shopify or domain name anymore. Hopefully, I will get my money or business back.
Flippa's tactics to sell your business are in the best interest of their broker only. They have an exclusivity clause that locks you in to using only them to sell your business. And charge you gy the month for the privilege! Beware! They will grossly under value your business by talking you into low EBITDA values only with zero accounting for goodwill or discretion spending etc..
Scammers. They will charge a 50USD listing fee and then will not list the business. The reason they told me that i wanna sell my business at too high a price. I fact the price proposed was the price i had sold 100 similar businesses.
Hi Mardo, a refund for a paid listing package fee should have been provided if your assets were not successfully listed for sale on Flippa.
- The Flippa Team
I don't rush to judgement, but after 5 months of pursuing credit card appeals and seeing Flippa's silly responses, incomplete information, and flat out lies, I have to agree that they must either be sponsoring fraudulent ads, or they simply do not care. I am surprised a class action lawsuit has not been claimed... stay away!
Long term seller from US here. I Prefer to stay anonymous as if Flippa finds out who I am they would probably straight ban me for just my review.
If you are planning on selling on Flippa now then I would advice you to wait. They keep increasing the listing prices without any notification out of the blue to crazy expensive. The current main issue however is the customer support incredibly horrible at the moment. Wait until they finally switch them unless you want to sell for 6-7 figures where they allocate you a sales rep who will probably "lick your butt". We tried it. Just make sure to turn to him with your question instead. And as you can the majority of the good reviews are "Invited" so you know what to expect.
Such a bad customer service. None of my questions was answered. Horrible experience. They were passing my questions to a different employees for whole 2 weeks (i just wanted to have phone call with them so they can tell me tips on hot to sell my store in a right and safe way-$200.000 worth with their potential broker) but nothing happens. Don't recommend
Everything went smooth and my customer was on time, my only issue was escrow verification process which I didn't have enough documents on hands, I hope you add more friendly payment method soon specially for digital travelers since we can't provide proof of address documents because we travel a lot
I come across a great deal of wrong headed thinking about Flippa based on the fact that many assets on the site are in fact questionable. This does NOT take away from the fact that serious buyers and investors do not want to miss any needles in the haystack and will have their radar on ALL places that sell assets. From Biz buy sell to Axial to Flippa. Flippa has been around very long, and I'd bet their email list they send your deals to is deeper than most brokers. Brokers have their place for some transactions surely, but for many deals Flippa is perfect. Plus the fees are much lower than brokers by a wide margin. I have both bought 6 figure assets and sold a 7 figure assets on the platform. Their support is fast, helpful and responsive. In my mind if you're a serious buyer or seller, Flippa should be one of your FIRST stops. Definitely get on their email list.
The lure of online business is enticing, unless you are software developer stay away! Wish I had seen and listened to other 1 star reviews before my purchase. Seller listed site as fully operational, dumping money into it now as it has 1000+ bugs and errors and the cost is astronomical to fix. Hire a developer to make your site that will cost half of which you will pay on Flippa.
I've been a customer for 6 years. This Company went downhill. If you're a buyer note that people pay hundreds to get their website featured. It does not mean that is a good deal. If you're a seller I feel bad for you. The quality of buyers and sellers are plain terrible. Customer Service is the worst on earth! They are not there to help at all! They are like robots!
Stay away!
This is the worst customer service ever. They have promised a refund for a site I never received.
So they send me to escrow saying it will be refunded in a few hours, and every time I email or reach out they say the same thing.
So 1 week later and I still don't have my money back.
I had been with Flippa for 3 years with no issue. Heard from some sellers in the past about Flippa banning their account for no reason. Well, that happened to me. I had sold and bought over $60,000 on there with a 100% rating.
One afternoon, I got a message saying that my account is banned. They tried to link an auction that I had sold, to a bogus auction and said that I had duplicate accounts. This kind of ban happens all the time, on there. Not sure if there were other, hidden motives behind it.
Recently i have post a very positive review here about my experience with Flippa.
But unfortunately Flippa one day without any warning block my account. I get not explanation for the reason, support answer two times and still dont know why my account is blocked.
I have customers paid for their site and i am not able even to login and answer them and deliver the site that they have paid for! Money are in flippa escrow and customers cannot refund. What to say. I agree with strictly policy of Flippa but this one is like scam.
Answer: Flippa runs for super sellers, and most of the super sellers are flippa employees
Answer: Same here. Extremely rude person.
Answer: Yes, they are! It's a robbed businesses model ( take fees => ban => wait for a nextone and so on...) I notice some racism (they hate Ukrainians). Doubled fees, fake people are bidding without payment need to relist ( it's take over 1 month, but domain renewal comes). Don't use it! Stay away!
