Tl: dr - Foreign company that pushes to obtain the information you will have to work hours or days to produce. While you have provided all the info that your business/website has existed for years. All while listing Chinese drop shippers that want a cool million for their website.
So like anyone I found the site on Google liked the easy-to-fill-out listing process and thought this should be an easy sale. For one this company is run by Indians, India has a HUGE issue with e-commerce and telemarketing scams. So there is on red flag. I was then asked several significant questions about the business requesting I provide extensive information, invoices P&L statements proof of revenue etc. Given I'm not comfortable disclosing the internals of a business to anyone, for the simple fact they can simple "reverse engineer" how to duplicate the business have all your vendors and the structure of the business that is also a red flag. I'd be happy to disclose that to a buyer, not the random person I have no NDA with. Speaking of NDA's Flippa prices start at $29 but selles packages in the hundreds or services at $99 and up. Easily you could spend $200 to $600 just to list the site for one month. Eventually, this devolved into an S-show of three to five staff asking me questions calling and aggravating me to provide information that had little bearing on selling the site. Once you review the listing you will see glaring holes in the listing where they have allowed trash to be posted. It was an aggravating and insulting process.
There was a time when I did over $100,000 in business on flippa. Those were the days when it was not overrun by scam sellers. Right now it's infested with not only scam sellers, but other sellers, trying to sell their online properties at ridiculously inflated prices. I honestly think sellers just make up a number and stick it on their price tag! That's why nearly every listing goes unsold now.
I called out a scammer in his listing comments, I pointed out how his sites were scams, his traffic was fake and just about everything was faked. In fact myself and another user called him out and accompanied it with proof. In response to this, Flippa banned me for being too vocal and proactive in calling our scammers.
So that is probably me banned for life. Not that I'm too bothered, as I wouldn't do much business in this cesspit of scammers. As the Niche Pursuits review wrote so accurately - 'Are you the kind of person who gets excited when you see an email from a Nigerian prince? Then Flippa could be the place for you. Buy to your heart's content. ' Sums it up!
THE WORST 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE FROM A 100% RATED SELLER TurnkeyProfit Mark STOLE £400+ THE SELLER DID NOT DELIVER WEBSITES HE WAS VERY RUDE AND IGNORES MESSAGES WEEKS TO MONTHS WITH NO HELP ONLY INSULTS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ALLOWED THIS SELLER TO CONTINUE SELLING SAYING THEY CANNOT REFUND ME AVOID THIS DISGUSTING SCAM SITE
After a long and tumultuous journey with this platform, today I finally packed my bags, asked them to remove any of my personally identifiable information and I closed my account, never to return!
My friend tried to register to your platform but the minute he submitted his id he got banned. Do you have something againts Czech people? And now you are threatening me with a ban too?
Flippa doesn't protect buyers from scammer sellers as they don't do a thorough check of the listed revenues and expenses. After the auction, I found out the seller, Mark Cambridge, omitted expenses related to freelancer fees from his P&L statement. Later on, I caught the seller inflating income numbers due to commingling of assets. Flippa support was not much help either as their advice boiled down to "I would direct you to Mark for any further questions or assistance you may require or questions you may have regarding the goods." In the end, you are screwed as the buyer that spent money on a site that was less than you expected with no recourse to rectify the situation. Please keep in mind that Mark is someone that described himself as a "trusted seller" in the auction. LOL
However, not all experiences at Flippa are negative. Another auction I won met all of my expectations and the seller was honest with all of the assets and not intentionally hiding anything unlike Mark. My advice to Flippa buyers is to be very careful who you decide to buy from and do not let the seller bully you into releasing the money too early without inspecting everything properly and asking several probing questions.
I sent a message to the customer service 4 month ago and no one replied to me. I don't know what to do. Flippa, please reply to me.
Bought a website from Flippa to run my own home business selling pet toys. Overall the transfer of the website was smooth although sometimes the seller had taken long to communicate.
First, I have an issue, they have responded positively and fixed it.
They need to change some policy and they will do great
I buy a site to seller who looked serious 10 years old, 100% positive opinion. The site was 4 months old and would generate $ 3000 on average, it was very interesting. The seller promises to provide his own facebook advertising method. What I had is not the same thing, the seller has to delete the customer database because after him it's forbidden, he provided me facebook training found on the net and it dates from early 2018. The seller did not provide me these old advertising, so I do not know how he generated money during the 4 months. For me it was useless to keep the site. So I decided to give it back. This is where the problem starts, to make the referral on godaddy, it took 2 weeks. He claimed that the back link did not work, I had to contact godaddy about a dozen times, for nothing. So I decided to create a second godaddy account and try to send it to the new account, and everything works, so I send all his flippa, and the seller, and magically the return walk. Now that the seller has received the domain, he is no longer responding. And two days later I get a flippa mail that has suspended my account and close the dispute, saying that the seller has to prove that he will repay me! Unbelievable! I lost $ 1000 for nothing
If I knew how hard it was to sell the business, I would never have tried this way. Would have been better having a lawyer look after the whole process.
Flippa banned me without any reason and saying i have multiple account
Their analyzers are sick they don't know how to analyze.
Just banned me without ask any question
I purchase many apps and online business from flippa. My last auction I won for $2000, i immediately paid for won auction. A week later the seller still didn't release the site to me that I purchased, instead they reported me to flippa for an investigation. Since I paid for the auction right away, and was the victim, they realized I had done nothing wrong, and told me in writing I had done nothing wrong and that I had done everything correct…. YET THEY WONT UNSUSPEND MY ACCOUNT.
They suspended my account because they claim the system automatically does it, yet they won't reinstate my account. Their customer service is a scam, they have self interests and are probably funneling money. Crooks
Flippa says they didn't bribe me, I lost $20 on a site on their platform they gave me $50 to resolve the matter and to get the negative feedback off their site and then said I said something about someone catching COVID-19.
Do not use flippa to sell your website, there are plenty of other options out there, I've had issues with flippa and their clientele since day one. Flippa then tried to bribe me to take down the reviews I left. Me being American, I took the bribe. Don't be like me, Don't take the bribe. They paid me $50 to remove my reviews so here we are again leaving another review because they went against their word. Flippa is fake, and full of A**holes who think they're entitled to something. Flippa always decides in favor of the seller, even when the seller is obviously wrong. Flippa has given me the run around for two months making fake promises from Josh on the customer support team. Josh is rude. Don't be like Josh!
THERE ARE SCAM ARTIST ALL OVER FLIPPA< these people sell the same website and app over and over to victims and Flippa does nothing about it, Flippa didn't even refund the money I spent on a site that went bad. They told me to take it up with PayPal, such a crappy way to do business, I will be starting my own website selling business since Flippa cannot wrap their heads around such an easy task!
* is an abusive bully. The other reviews don't lie. He automatically sides with steady-selling-con artist sellers, and claims you're a liar if you file a complaint with paypal. He also says a particular seller was just *frustrated* if he sends you verbal threats. This seller called me a *big liar* and said he would sue me for defammation of character because I disliked his low quality duplicate saturated sites that he's sold to thousands of people. I'm relieved I got my money back. He has been selling these particular cookie cutters since january of 2017 and will "stop" selling once he runs out of inventory. (Yeah right). 2 months ago a prospect asked how long he would keep selling and he answered "2 more weeks." Ummm. It's June now. He receives negative feedback every other day which flippa removes. I asked flippa why this is allowed after they originally told me it wasn't possible to remove negative feedback, and they screamed at me in the email. If prospects ask about potential penalties based on duplicate content or general inquiries, instead of answering any questions the seller will snap to just not bid. I'm scrambling the name of this "sweet" individual: *

Bad service and agent, answering on delay. Doesn't hear my inquiry, I have working on my company for 5 years and wanted a fair value of at least 150K because I achieved 25K downloads in Israel. I will post on my Tiktok channel with 20K bad review about you, also on Google review and everywhere I can one star and that your service the most bad service and product I ever you. Shame on you Flippa, I have invested 120K on my startup and dozens of hours and time. Just show minimum respect to the entrepreneur spending hours on R&D to post in your platform, I even hire a person to help build my application, you just backstabbed me.
I sold an app using Flippa.com in 30 days. I had a good experience with the platform overall.
The support team responded quickly to my questions.
The company just changed its listing fee from 15 to 29 dollars. I think they have problems its not like people spend dollars buying software.
Answer: Flippa runs for super sellers, and most of the super sellers are flippa employees
Answer: Same here. Extremely rude person.
Answer: Yes, they are! It's a robbed businesses model ( take fees => ban => wait for a nextone and so on...) I notice some racism (they hate Ukrainians). Doubled fees, fake people are bidding without payment need to relist ( it's take over 1 month, but domain renewal comes). Don't use it! Stay away!
