I had trouble understanding the process for listing a domain or website for sale. After several helpful emails from Flippa staff I did it and received offers. I accepted an offer. After some message exchanges between the buyer, Escrow.com and myself the transaction was cancelled, reinstated then cancelled again. During these exchanges, I emailed Flippa for an explanation on transferring domain registration and got a quick, helpful reply.
Flippa's service was good and Flippa's people helpful. It is my understanding that the sale fell through because Escrow.com was unhappy with the buyer. Not any fault of Flippa.
My profile have 100% positive review with 0% negative feedback from buyer/sellers both. I got banned & Flippa Give me below silly reason.
"Why your all bidder got banned? You know the reason behind this."
If any bidder in my auction is scammer or anything else, that was my Fault? Flippa banned few bidder who also placed bids in my auction & flippa also banned my auctions and my flippa account. Only reason is that banned bidders also placed bids in my auction. I got this email from guy name of Josh W. I replied josh 13 days ago, Still I have not received reply from Flippa.
Anyone need proof related this issue then contact me. Even Flippa must have to answer me. Dam poor support and Silly non-sense support team. Also need refund for my 2 auction's amount $9 x 2 if you guys not going to revoke my account.
Where do I begin?!
As soon as we listed on Flippa, we had someone very interested in our business the day after of the listing. He proceeded and purchased Due Diligence report the day after after we showed him around.
Today (after 1 month of time), the buyer cancelled the report and got a refund, and flippa thought i wanted to cancel my listing, so they cancelled and refunded me. When they did all this without my consent.
The Due Diligence team promised a report in 7-10 business days. They took 1 month and still not even halfway through. So the buyer got mad, cancelled, and left the whole site.
Flippa's customer support were VERY disrespectful.
Typical non existent outsourced zendesk support. A company this size still uses cheap unreliable support. You better off googling the answer to our question or asking other people on flippa. Especially if you get that Ian guy.
I had an issue with a bidder and the small print with their "policies". Customer support demanded I send my Passport photo to identify myself (what an insult) and "Maybe they might get around to reviewing my account suspension because I didn't want to sell my own website to scammer bidder. F*ck that annoyed the hell out of me. Oh yeah their fees are outrageous. I will send the support an photo I. D all right- of my anus!
I expected from the hype that I'd sell my business for what I listed it for within a couple of weeks. OK, I can wait, so it went a couple of months. Then, I finally got an offer for about 1/2 of what I had hoped to get and only got 2/3 of that up front and will have to wait a year to get the rest. The buyer was unresponsive and slow and it became quite an issue as he required we extend the already-agreed-upon closing date by two more weeks. The closing date was nearly a month ago and things have not all been settled yet. I'm not sure I would use this method again without a lot more investigation. The team at flippa.com was trying, and helpful, but it ended up that I just got a new buyer that didn't understand how things worked.
Don't rush in make sure you check all the fine print. Make sure the seller is set up correctly for transactions from the purchase via escrow. If not don't go there. Walk away.
It was good. Overall, there was some delay on Escrow's end to finalize the transaction. However, this was cleared up and the transaction was completed successfully.
Stay well.
The place is full of criminals and liers I think Flippa cover them because wants to take money the only way we have is to advice others about this behaviour.Stay away liers ready to do something to you.
I have just started my journey into the world of buying and selling websites. The process was made much smoother by Joe Burrill who sold the site on behalf of the owners. I look forward to buying many more sites from Flippa moving forward. Thank you again so much.
I certify that this review is based on my own experience and that I am in no way affiliated with this business, and have not been offered any incentive or payment from the business to write this review. Too many scams. Sites have no seo value. Been on mailings list for 6 months. Waste if time. Sites are not curated any list their site. Reviews are fake.
Very bad first time experience having purchased a website that was not the revenue generator the seller claimed it to be. Once website was migrated I released the funds from Escrow based on the seller's word that the income will be forthcoming as soon as he gets his developer to make the changes to the website. I trusted him based on his rating and reputation. You really need to verify the claims sellers make before just letting them auction of websites making specious claims.
I do not recommend at all. Buyers have no protection and are easily scammed. The platform owners don't care about buyers and never respond to queries. I would steer clear as a buyer!
They are happy to take you regular fee and do nothing in order to get you buyers, because the next step of this scam is to pull more money out of you to get your listing "promoted". Classic ripoff. They should be shut down for good, but hopefully they'll just go out of business eventually when enough people realize what a joke this service is.
First, Flippa takes its commission as soon as the sale is marked as completed. But if a buyer doesn't go through to the end via Escrow, or requests a chargeback on Paypal, the Flippa still holds on to their fee.
Second, sellers can hide abusive or hurtful (wrong, malicious, etc.) comments, but Flippa admins un-hide them before the sale is made. Therefore, potential buyers can get a wrong impression of the listing, even if the comments are false.
Last but not least, there are many, many, many scammers on Flippa, trying to sell sites with falsified data.
Overall, I'm never gonna use Flippa again. Ever.
Flippa didn't deliver on their promise and I was left with a unusable account. When buyer received the account she purchased she should have 7 days to inspect it, not a month. Because she couldn't verify with amazon I'm now left with an unusable account. Flippa won't refund me back either.
Purchased a site. Received email 2 days later stating it had already been purchased a day prior, but had not been removed in time.
Definitely disappointing.
But, I did purchase a custom site from the same seller for the same price, so that resolved this issue.
It's not ideal, but it worked out. If I were not flexible and the seller had no other options, it might have resulted in a poor review.
In this case, the seller was very accommodating and gave several options, with a little extra, for the inconvenience.
It turned out better than what I originally wanted. So, I'm satisfied with the outcome.
Flippa needs to look at their fees. There are so many new competitors out there with better marketplaces that charge ZERO fees for selling your site.
When the Seller and I agreed to everything Flippa actually was the one slowing down the process because they were too slow to enable Escrow. It's embarrassing that Flippa takes a 7,5% success fee and it cost money to list and then their response time is days.
The last time I'm selling anything on Flippa with these fees.
My purchase had concierge and the guy did nothing. Escrow didn't accept my payment and he did nothing to help. Every response took 24 hours or more. I was encouraged to use the Flippa contract, which I had to pay for, but it was a total waste of money.
Answer: Flippa runs for super sellers, and most of the super sellers are flippa employees
Answer: Same here. Extremely rude person.
Answer: Yes, they are! It's a robbed businesses model ( take fees => ban => wait for a nextone and so on...) I notice some racism (they hate Ukrainians). Doubled fees, fake people are bidding without payment need to relist ( it's take over 1 month, but domain renewal comes). Don't use it! Stay away!
