I ORDERED TICKETS ON LINE BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS THE MOVIE THEATURE, TURNS OUT IT WAS THESE CON MEN. MADE THE MISTAKE OF CHARGING THE TICKETS TO MY VISA CARD. LOOKED IT OVER AND REALIZED THEY CHARGED ME DOUBLE THE COST OF THE TICKETS THAN WHAT THE BOX OFFICE CHARGES AND ASKED FOR A REFUND OF MY MONEY WHICH THEY HAD ABOUT A TOTAL OF MAYBE 5 MINUTES THEY GAVE ME A REFUND OF THE TICKET PRICE AND KEPT $12.00 SERVICE CHARGE. TRIED TO GET A REFUND OF THE ENTIRE AMOUNT BUT GOT NO WHERE AND JUST TO BAD WILL REFER YOU TO THE CORPERATE OFFICE-NEVER HEARD FROM THEM EITHER. IT JUST BURNS MY $#*! THAT THESE CALIFORNIA PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY CAN SCREW YOU OUT OF YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND ITS NO BIG DEAL. ILL NEVER RECOMEND THEM TO ANYBODY. SO HERES A BIG MIDDLE FINGER TO YOU.
You are stealing your customers taking advantage of the fact that the movie theaters were closed during the pandemic. How is it possible that if I have a $ 100 gift card and I am going to spend $ 37 on tickets, you are going to charge a $ 29 convenience fee? That's unsane! I did not use my gift card! Because i need a solution and a proper answer from your customer service. I have been a Fandango customer for years and this has never happened before with gift cards. Now you want to take advantage of your customers to get your business back. Don't you think it's better to keep happy your usual clients and be thankful that we have started to reactivate your business by going to the movie theaters? This is how we all reactivate the economy after pandemic, not taking advantage of your customers. I feel very unhappy and very dissapointed with Fandango and the way you are taking advantage of the customers. I will post my message in all your social media, google, etc. People in the market needs to know the new procedures of Fandango. They never should buy any gift card from you.
Fandango does not even deserve 1 star. Received a gift card which is not accepted by any movie theaters, the web site does not accept the code on the gift card. The phone support was not able to make the site work for 45 minutes i finally was able to get 1 movie ticket for my $25 gift card. No way to redeem the balance on the card. I purchased two tickets recently but didnt know it was at the wrong theaters, so i had to repurchase for that theater, I tried contacting Fandango today on a Monday to request a refund and they denied it due to a 2 hour refund window. I was astonished, I've never in my life heard of a 2 hour refund window. They should have at least stated it prior to the purchase of the tickets rather than deny the customer. So at the end of the night I payed DOUBLE for a location mistake. Will definitely NEVER EVER EVER use the Fandango company ever again.
So I bought 2 tickets to Wonder Woman in an AMC 17 theater in Indy. Auditorium 26 Seats D13 and D14. Problem. Once I got there, the staff was confused as they had 17 Auditoriums, not 26 (hence the name). Since they did have a 7:00pm showing, they assumed it was for that showing. So they told me to get my D13 and D14 seats once I got in. Guess what, they were taken. Why? Because they sold me the seats to a theater auditorium that didn't exist. I was displaced TWICE inside the theater as my 6yr old daughter and I were looking for any open seats and ended up getting HORRIBLE 2nd row seats. I asked for a refund and was told I had to create my VIP account first. I did. Never got a response. After that I saw this website and noticed that I'd be holding my breath forever. DO NOT USE FANDANGO. EVER.
Fandango is absolutely horrible. I will NEVER use this company again. We purchased tickets on our laptop and they were suppose to be e-mailed. When we were in line at the theater, we went to retrieve our tickets fut they were never e-mail. While at the theater, I tried on many occasions to log in, but the response was that Fandango didn't recognize my e-mail. Well, I just logged in from my pc to purchase the tickets, but I couldn't get to the tickets any way from my iPhone. Therefore, I could not get to the confirmation page for proof. I used my phone to call them and waited 15 minutes. The movie was about to begin, so I purchased another 4 tickets and decided to deal with it after the movie. Well, the customer service was absolutely no help. They did not refund my money and did not help me at all. They also know that they were having technical problems and can see that I was never able to use these tickets. I put the charge in dispute because in my book, that is stealing. We own a business and we would never take someone's money for a service/merchandise we didn't provide. It this was my mistake, I would eat the money but this was not my mistake and 100% on them. Horrible business and my prediction is that it will not be around for the long.
I wanted to save 5 bucks and bought online realized I just bought tickets for alien place, did everything to contact costumer service with no answer, went to the movies saw Lion King and after that tried again, and again, again, finally after hours somebody answered told me somebody will contact me in couple days, and nobody does, I tried again after an hour somebody answered on live chat, and she rushed me off the chat saying the team didn't get to review, IM BEING ROBBED!
Try to leave a review and realizing there are thousands of people going through the same thing I went though, ima contact BBB see what I can do

I purchased tickets for a movie after I verified the information, when I printed of the email the incorrect information was on the email to me/a switch was perpetrated. I called Fandango and they refused to admit the site made an error, the customer service told me that the zip code for which the tickets were purchased was in my zip code not the tickets that requested and purchased. They them told me small private theaters are responsible to resolve my issue and that they will give me the number to call the theater to request my refund. I am out $36.65 for movie tickets, I am going to fight this, I want my money back.
From 22nd July to 1 August I have been constantly complaining that they have not provided me with the free movie because I went to watch Star Trek beyond and they promised on their website for vip members that into darkness would be credited to my vip account. This never happened and I never got the email.
The first chat guy told me I had to wait 24 hours. The second Chat guy said 3-5 days. The third chat guy kept repeating what the first two chat guy said and he then disconnected the chat and I was very polite to him all the way through, just asking over and over, will you actually help me or not? "Ryoka: I have provided you with all the information available to me. If it is that you do not have any other question, I will be forced to discontinue thsi conversation." he then discontinued the chat.
So whether or not I will get this special promotion for buying tickets or not is debatable, and highly unlikely. Please avoid this company at all costs! Very disreputable, non-customer friendly...
Wouldn't touch this website again with someone else's credit card! I have an account on this BS website. When I looked for a movie, it pulls up a theatre 40 miles from my house- no other search has ever done this. It was an AMC. I thought I was buying tickets to the AMC 3 miles from my house.
When I tried to call for a refund, I GOT LEFT ON HOLD FOR 45 MINUTES AND HAD TO HANG UP.
Next day I log on to my account to ask for a refund. AFTER ANOTHER 45 MINUTES, THEY TELL ME THEY CAN'T GIVE ME A REFUND.
THEY DELAY ON PURPOSE, SO THEY CAN TELL YOU YOU'RE TOO LATE TO ASK FOR A REFUND.
DO NOT USE THIS SITE. BIGGEST RIPOFF AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ANY COMPANY ON THE NET.

Bought movie tickets thru FANDANGO for a movie in my area Sarasota FL. We went to the movie theater early and showed them the FANDANGO online tickets. They said it was for the movie in Miami, over 4 hours away. The movie theater manager gave us the FANDANGO phone number to call. We waited for over 20 minutes and finally left our number for a call back. We paid to see the movie in our theater in Sarasota. When we got out of the movie FANDANGO called and said they couldn't refund the money because the movie in Miami was over. DO NOT BUY USING FANDANGO. The manager at our theater said to go online to their theater website and buy directly from them, you save the fee and the check your location for the theater near you and movies playing near you. What a 21st Century idea!
I tell the man with the broken English that my $25 gift card didn't work possibly because expired as I held for covid to pass. He assures me they have no expiration & he will ask Suoervisor the remedy. He returns in 2 mins to say they will rush me new card number to my email. He requests I rate him well and starts to sign off. I say my movie starts soon. He says no worries. Info is being emailed over to me. I ask him my email. He has no idea. I ask for a Supervisor. He argues that he could just fix everything if I give my email instead. I givexny email yet still want a Supervisor. He says he will get one. After 10 secs says he asked & they weren't available. I say you didn't speak to anyone because I heard you breathing, I heard your dog barking and then you say you spoke to someone, but I would have heard that. This time he uses the hold button to fake the funk. Same result. Boss doesn't want to talk. No confidence in them, but will continue being a thorn because dont like idea of my loved one throwing away $25.

I was on a theater's website, clicked to buy tix, logged into my Fandango account, picked my seats, made my purchase and the website bought me tickets at a different theater! Of course they weren't honored at the theater I went to with the kiddos... had to buy them again. Fandango cannot exchange after the movie starts so, SOL!
I know it asks you to verify first but I never thought it was another theater. LOST MY MONEY!
Avoid Fandango gift cards! Fandango gift cards can only be used at the FEW theaters which do online ticketing (and these are also the most expensive theaters). Can't get through to customer service without being on hold 20 minutes minimum. The website isn't user friendly (ie. Lists theaters that don't even have online ticketing), even the tickets couldn't print right. I had to drive 1/2 hour to use my gift card (there were no theaters closer that accepted it). Then when you factor in the convenience fees for each online ticket and the higher ticket prices at that participating theater, the total cost was $29 for 4 tickets ($7.25/tkt) just to use my $15 gift card (so $14 out of pocket). It only saved me $6 compared to the $20 ($5/ticket at my local theater on discount Tuesday and that $6 I saved barely paid for the gas to and from that far away theater. And I was lucky with that because all the other theaters 1/2 hr away didn't even have discount tuesday and tkts would have cost $9.25 each... so for those it would have cost more, than if I just threw away the gift card and went local.
Fandango's website kept glitching causing me to hit the backspace button. When I finally made my purchase I received my confirmation order. Immediately I noticed that not only did it select the wrong date, but it selected the WRONG THEATRE. I'm in FL and it selected a theatre in NEW YORK! When I contacted Fandango right away, they refused to refund the "convenient" fee because I didn't select the option for a full exchange. WHY ON EARTH would I select the exchange option and run the risk of them screwing up my order AGAIN! I get it Fandango, you make money off of your website's issues and probably are high fiving each other every time you make another $9.00 convenient fee profit. Jovian, customer rep and Diane, manager, could care less about their faulty services. It is VERY EVIDENT that their number one priority is ripping off their customers. This is a huge problem with large companies. They could care less about their shady practices. It's all about greed and taking advantage of others. I had no idea Fandango is a horrible company that thrives on ripping people off... I do now!
I've never had trouble with Fandango.com. Once I bought a ticket for the wrong theater and they issued me a refund directly to my account.
Dont use this website, they are horrible. I had asked for an exchange because we were stuck in traffic but they said it wasnt their problem.
I use this site to look up movie times ONLY. Purchased tickets once and was pretty surprised to see their service fee. Never again.
I love Fandango! When mobile ticketing is available, no waiting in line! Love using the gift cards for purchases and giving them to friends.
Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
