For those who believe in rehabilitation, I have given them a few months to correct the problem and fix their unethical practices, but they still stand by the policies and have not reimbursed my $70 for the movie seats that we did not use.
I'd give them a 0 star if I could. I tried purchasing tickets and when I used my Apple Pay, it said error seats have been taken already. So I re chose a different seat and bought the tickets. Something came up and I couldn't go to the movie theaters so I refunded the one ticket that I thought I bought which they gave me the refund for. The day after, I saw in my statements that they have charged me twice for different seats. So I called them and told them that their website said error so I didn't think I'd have purchased it. The worker said she'd have to talk to corporate because the movie has already played. Then I asked her if Fandango has a way to check the I even activated the tickets and they said they can check that. So the next day, I receive a email saying they can't issue refund because it's past the movie day and I've replied to them saying they can literally check that I never made it to the movie theater and never activated my ticket. It's been a week now and I haven't gotten a reply back. I've never been so upset at a company before.
How come this website hardly ever works? I get timed out early. Two perfectly fine debit cards don't work. Several attempts to purchase tickets failed

Beware-Fandango's refund/exchange policy is unfair. Make a mistake? Miss the movie? They don't care! You are out of luck! Terrible way to treat customers.

Got a fandango movie card as a gift. Went to the movie theatre to use it and was told I had to go online and order the tickets. Decided to use it at a later date and paid. Fast forward. Went online to use my gift card. Purchased two tickets for 9.50 each and was charged 2.70 cents.
My balance said zero. Wouldn't print out the tickets kept getting error message. Had to call and listen for fifteen minutes to option after option until I finally was able to speak with a human. I had to start at the beginning and renter all of my info and was told they charge a fee for all transactions. So for a 25 gift card I get two movie tickets. Are you KIDDING me?
I would just rather a movie card from the theatre that you can also use for snacks!

I had purchased two movie dvd's that had Fandango cash offers ($7.50 a piece) on them for DespicableMe2. The movie theaters that were showing it were Marcus and AMC. Marcus doesn't participate in Fandango and I can see why. AMC was playing the movie but, did not have an option for purchasing with the Fandango codes. Going to Fandango for resolving the problem was USELESS. I would never use Fandango because there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I purchased 3 tickets to see moana using my paypal. Well i never received my tickets but was still charged! I have been going back and forth in emails for the past 3 days with fandango customer service. They tried saying my tickets were printed and used on the date of 11/12/2012 WTF that is 4 whole years ago how does that even make sense?! They dont give refunds after the movie showtime when all i had was 5 minutes before the movie started to contact them because i purchased them on my way there (we didnt want to wait in line and have them sold out) and they waited 24 hours to get in touch. I purchased 3 tickets before the movie Everest started. I was at a restaurant waiting for my food and clicked purchase by mistake. I was waiting for confirmation from my girlfriend before I purchased them. We were not 100% sure of attending the movie. I seen a $6.00 convenience fee was charged. I tried the refund through the app but it clearly says no refund of convenience fees. I called immediately after I realized the mistake and asked for a full refund. Situation. I called back and spoke to Neo and explained the same situation but offered me credit... I explained I would leave a review if this simple transaction mistake was not corrected. Neo gave me the same policy explanation as Bridgette. I then asked for a supervisor but they were busy and could not attend to my issue ( go figure). I requested a call back but was informed I need to call back and the issue would then be escalated. I waited on hold till they could give me an estimated time a supervisor would be available to speak. I hung up after waiting for 5 mins on hold to get an estimate. Honestly it's $6.00 and I realize that doesn't break the bank. It's the principle of a simple mistake and this company's employees can't help a customer out. The app works great but the company's refund policy is horrible. Get with the program guys, never heard a company can't refund a full transaction before. My mistake for choosing your 3rd party service to purchase movie tickets. Lesson learned!
First, I have been using Fandango for years. I've spent a lot of money thru them. I have stuck with them through their transitions and they won't refund me my $26?! I could not cancel my tickets for me and my toddler daughter prior to the start of the movie because their systems were down, which was confirmed by one of their reps, once I finally got one on the phone. I waited 30 minutes to get a rep on the line, only to be told he couldn't help and a refund was up to corporate. I spoke with a supervisor only to be told the same thing by her. She even admitted that their new system is overloaded and was more than likely down when I attempted to get in to cancel!! She said corporate would make a decision and email me. Corporate keeps a powerless frontline and lower management to have last say on their profits. Why have customer "care" if they can't resolve issues? Forget great customer service, Fandango cares only about their bottom line. I still have not heard from them and it has been nearly a month. I called back today and was put on hold for another 48 minutes!! It is such a simple resolution. Your system was down, I could not cancel in time, so refund me. They treat xustomers as if they are all dishonest. I even bought 2 new tickets to a different movie within the same time frame. Common sense says it is impossible to be in two places at once!! Corporate can care less. I am done with Fandango. Uninstalling the app now.

I accidentally picked the wrong theater, it was over 45 minutes before the show started, i tried to fix this on their useless fcking website BUT because i used a $5 gift coupon, i was unable to do this online ( $48 worth of tickets), i tried to call but they already had closed at 10Estern time, tried to get a refund and exchange for two weeks, showing them screenshots with proof yet no luck, tried a few days later and explained the situation better to another lady, no luck, no credit. If i could punch these mtherfckers in the face I would. FCK THIS COMPANY.
Fandango could not complete the transaction so we went and bought tickets at theatre. Fandango would not refund since the movie already played. Big Ripoff!

Began ordering movie tickets using fandango.com on my iphone. Friends joined us at dinner with movie tickets in hand - BEFORE I completed the fandango order. I quit the fandango site, shut down Safari and put the phone in my pocket (good dinner & movie followed).
No communication from fandango until receiving email the following day, from fandango, asking how I liked the movie... I checked my credit card site and found a $53 charge for 4 tickets, received the previous night.
Contacted fandango to protest the charge and talked to a VERY prosecutorial 'customer service' rep. Fandango's approach very similar to IRS's: If fandango.com recorded the charge, then you made the charge - we do not make errors; customers make errors. No Refund, Not discussing it, Not kidding.
Got AMC and CapitalOne involved. CapitalOne rep handled the issue well and gracefully. AMC provided 4 passes as refund, but fandango.com kept their fee. This is not a site or company that values customers or customer service. This is not a site or company that you should trust.
Went to refund tickets before show time. App errored and put me in to chat queue. Waited 2 hours for someone to tell me no. Even after explaining situation, no attempt to exchange or refund.
I ordered tickets and couldn't make the show so I gave a whole days notice and they would not refund or exchange for a later movie show, so basically they robbed me without a gun. WILL NEVER SHOW FANDANGO AGAIN.

Honestly, dealing with this company has been like trying to hammer jello to a wall. I honestly thought I was being "punked" a few times in my email interactions with them.
I order a lot of office supplies through Office Depot. In August, their catalog was promoting (2) free movie tickets through Fandango if you ordered a certain dollar amount of supplies... which I did.
Within a couple of weeks, I received the promotional post card that, very clearly, stated the instructions to go to the following website: www.thepromocard.com/officedepot/redeem and enter the promotion code that clearly marked on the post card. I completed the task, the website accepted my promotional code and indicated that I would then be receiving an email that contained my movie certificates to print and present at the participating movie theater. I patiently waited two weeks with no such email. I then started my exhausting search for an explanation through both Office Depot, thepromocard website and Fandango. I will clarify that I am equally frustrated with all three parties but Fandango's emailed responses from their customer service reps took the cake. I explained the concern, and received such idiotic replies back, that at first, I almost found them funny. Well, no longer. I realize that this is all about (2) essentially, lost, movie tickets but it became about the principle of simple customer service and my quest to point out their lack of it. The long and the short of it... I still have not received the movie ticket certificates and I am certain that this company is run by toddlers.

However; I find Fandango's policies could only be made by some simple minded guy that actually has very litttle business sense and deserves a review.
While attempting to use a gift of fandango we looked for a movie in at the UTC in San Diego. Fandango said OK for our movie at UTC and promptly reported our tickets were ready.
Right. UTC Irvine. Wrong location. So we called and got the 10cent program that keeps you in a circle and long wait. No, sorry we cannot cancel the movie regardless of what we see on the site. However you can get a new movie when you cannot go in the next 4 days.

Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
