I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED TO SEE THAT FANDANGO DOUBLED MY BILL FOR THE MOVIE.
THE CASHIER AT THE THEATER SAID I COULD HAVE PURCHASED THE SAME TICKETS AT THEIR WEBSITE FOR A 50 CENT SERVICE FEE. SHE SAID I WAS SILLY FOR USING FANDANGO.
I COULDN'T AGREE MORE.
I WILL NEVER USE THIS RIP-OFF SERVICE AGAIN.

Bought tickets, they sent the to a different email. Never saw the email until too late. Emailed them. They never responded. We will never use Fandango again.
Yesterday was my daughter birthday. She wanted to go to dinner and to go see the secret life of pets. I obliged for my precious 5 year old, what she wants she gets on her birthday, to a certain extent. That being said, I tried very hard to get to the movies for her. I found a theater showing the film at 9 pm. So I search for tickets online, I find ripypuoffandango, I mean fandango... I purchase the tickets but the screen went out to a page not found page, I reload the page and continue then all of a sudden I get two emails with two separate sets of tickets... one of which I OBVIOUS didn't mean to purchase. It's well before 30 minutes to the show but for some reason when I click the can't make the showing button it keeps sending me to a page not found page. What's going on? I'll tell you... it's in the fine print sure enough but they do not offer refunds to non VIP members. HA! Loop hole found. They found a way to $#*! you out of your money, yet again. Good going guys, way to screw the little guy over. I sit and wait for a chat with them this morning only to be told I'm screwed and they will not be returning my funds OR giving me. A. voucher of any kind for any missunderstanding or the one time failure on my own part. Expensive lesson learned... NEVER USE FANDANGO! EVER.
Couldn't make my movie and tried to cancel and they won't give me a refund/exchange because of their policy have to cancel 90minutes before show time. Never using them again
Since Fandango is the only game in town when it comes to online movie ticket purchases, their customer service agents offer very low quality service. Their payment processing part of the app doesn't work: just keeps saying "Webpage not available." Their customer service agents sometimes would try to give you the run around by telling you to buy tickets via their app & not their website. After you've downloaded their app & sign up with them. Their payment process would tell you "Webpage not available." That was after waiting half an hour for an agent to tell you to download their app. It only took them less than 1 minute to dispense that "advise." After following their "advise," the same problem still exists even as I'm typing out my complaint. So, I got on their chat & waited 30 minutes for an agent. The agent couldn't wait at least 2 minutes for me to type out my problem on my tiny cellphone keyboard with just 1 finger & decided to terminate the chat when I was about 2 text characters away from finishing my texting. I AM PISSED NOW.
I was not told about the $5 "convenience" charge until the order was already completed. There was no way to cancel it. Had I known about the charge, I would NOT have ordered the tickets online.
I called fandango customer service 3 TIMES to get a refund for my tickets because it wouldn't let me online and was on hold for 45mins each time. Never buying through them again!
This the worst website ever, please do not buy online ticket from this website. I bought it and they booked incorrect ticket and they are not refunding or changing the ticket
Fandango sucks, literally. I realized after I purchased 4 tickets ($50) that I clicked the wrong date. I tried calling/online chat for HOURS to get someone to just change the date. When I finally got someone on the phone they told me that you have to call at least 2 hours before the show. I told them I didn't want a refund, just a credit or for them to change the date. They refused to do either for me. They told me I should have called earlier. When I informed her I had been on hold for hours, she said well, we have been busy. WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER. DO NOT USE FANDANGO FOR ANY REASON!
Got to the movies after purchasing tickets on Fandango and couldn't sit and watch the movie because their A/C wasn't working, Fandango was rude and would not refund or credit us, please only buy your tickets through the actual threatre and save yourself the headache.
I ordered a gift card and was told later that it is not trackable even though the shipping confirmation email says 'Track your order'. After waiting 1.5 hours to talk to a representative, I was told that they don't track shipments. They wouldn't even refund the gift card or let me talk to the gift card dept.
NEVER GET A GIFT CARDS FROM THIS COMPANY!
I had a problem with a promotional code that I got from winning tickets on the radio. The radio station told me I could use the code until the movie was no longer in theaters and that turned out not to be the case. The card with promo code had an expiration date and when I called Fandango they said there was nothing they could do. While actual blame would be with the radio station for giving out bad information, the customer service department at Fandango has to have codes for customers when there is a problem. Answering phones only to say there is nothing that can be done is not customer service. I told the Fandango rep that practically ALL the reviews for Fandango are negative and that as a company they should be concerned about that. A 97% negative one-star rating is nothing to be proud of, but I understand now why that is the case. If everyone uses a different movie service, they will come to learn that they have no customer service and that will be their downfall. I think I'll go get a REDBOX movie instead; that is a company that could teach Fandango a thing or two.
As a Christmas present for my children, I went online to order 4 movie tickets for Thursday (Christmas Eve). The session timed out and when I continued, it saved the time and the amount of tickets I wanted, but apparent defaulted the date to today. I realized the error once I got the email confirmation. This was at 11:17A, and the showtime was to be 1:00P.
I called immediately and was promptly put on hold for 48 minutes before I got a human being on the phone. "Kimberley" informed me that there was nothing she could do because the showtime was in less than two hours. I told her that when I purchased the tickets, it was already within the two hour time frame, so that seemed a little odd of a policy. I also told her I did not want my money back, I just wanted to change the date. She said there "are policies in place for a reason, so therefore, there was nothing she could do". At this point, I asked for a supervisor and she refused, telling me that he would definitely tell me the same thing she had just told me, so there was no need to transfer my call.
She finally ended the call by telling me that she "suggest I read things carefully next time before confirming."
Fantastic. I am out $48. Merry Christmas to me.
Ordered tickets. Said their was a problem with my card. My card was charged. No tickets. Site said it was a 2 hour wait to chat with someone. What gives?
I bought 7 movie tickets, went to the theater with 7 people and the theater had no tickets for us.

You guys are cooperate thieves. It's crazy how a person can make a mistake and your company takes money from people. I contacted your company before the movie started with the information that you provided through my email. I attempted to do a live chat and was told that the wait time was at least an hour. Then I was told that I have to wait for your corporate office to determine whether I would get a refund. I asked someone can I speak directly to corporate and they claimed there wasn't a number to reach them. You guys are thugs and it's sad how your business does there customers. I can understand not getting a refund, but you guys could have at least gave me a credit to see another movie for the same value. I'm quite sure you will just respond with a simple I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but in the mean time you will just skate off with free money. I will never use your company again, and I will definitely tell everyone I know to not use your service. I am also going to give bad reviews about your company
Okay starting using Fandango only because I could build up points towards watching the next movie! But wait here is the catch... YOU HAVE TO WATCH ANOTHER MOVIE WITHIN 14 DAYS AFTER THE INTIAL PURCHASE TO USE REWARDS! What the Hell! I lost $24 rewards due to this clause! The dumbest ever! Never will I use this website again!
I was on hold for a hour and technically they couldn't do anything about it no refund or anything. I call on my second phone they pick up within 5 minutes they need to get it together.
I purchased tickets online and paid partially with a Fandango credit they gave me and mostly with my credit card. Turns out I could not make the show. I jumped back on line to get a refund and the first hurdle was that I could not get a refund is I used Fandango credit. How lousy is that? So, I start a chat and ask for a refund that way. The person on the other end says he sees the transaction and can refund the entire purchase price. That sounded great. So, he writes, "do you authorize me to credit the entire amount?" Of course, I authorized. One minute later, I have a huge Fandango credit in my Fandango account. WTF? Well, turns out that when they ask you if you want the entire price credited, they mean (BUT DON'T SAY) - credit to the Fandango account. You will never see that money again! You will HAVE TO use those funds on Fandango.com and put up with their sneaky service all over again. BEST BET - STAY away, they don't offer any real savings or promotions anyways. They do offer convenience fees and shady deals.
Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
