I tried to use previously purchased Groupons to buy tickets, but was not able to redeem them. Then I had to pay a service charge of $1.25 per ticket, so it cost me $7.50 for the inconvenience of buying tickets through this site. If I had not been given a couple of these giftcards, I never would have used this site. Also, I still need to go to the box office to get my tickets. Total waste of time.
Purchased 3 tickets and never received confirmation of my purchase but you better believe they charged my card. When I called customer service they claimed that they don't have record of my purchase. I'm now being forced to purchase my tickets all over again and fight the charges through PayPal and my bank.
Purchased tickets from Fandango in advance of movie so husband with low vision and poor balance cold get seated earlier. Got to theater and had to stand in line for tickets anyway. Theater claimed Fandango kiosk hadn't worked for several months. Got in touch with Fandango, who refused to at least refund cost. What a rip off! They have lost a customer.

I am 63 years old and have had lots of experiences with customer service departments. I would have bet anyone everything I own that I would not have found a worse customer service department than AT&T. Until today. I gave these morons every opportunity to fix the problem and they repeatedly failed. I also know why. Every step up the corporate ladder, from customer service rep to Manager, to corporate, they got worse and worse and worse. Truly the adage here applies, stinks from the head down. I will NEVER use their service again and every time I go to a movie I will try to convince a customer to spread the bad news. If anyone tries to give me a fandango product again, I will throw it back in their face. After that I'm sure they will never use them again either! I've gotta go now, I have to cancel my fandango account!
Refuse to give VIP+ points on orders that say they will receive them. Customer service is not even reading my email to them. They see that the tickets were purchased prior to Nov 19th when the program started. The terms say "showtime" inside the promo period. PLUS my receipts SAY I'll get points. Horrible, horrible customer service! Use atom tickets instead
Purchasing tickets always fails on the first try. On a good day it'll work on the second or third attempt. I love Cinebistro, but they use Fandango for buying tickets and so I won't go there anymore. Luckily I live in an area with lots of choices so I'll go to Cinepolis instead (they don't use Fandango).
I tried to exchange and get credits before the showtime. They never sent a confirmation email. When i waited for 7 hours for someone on their support team to chat me back, they told me they couldn't do it. I am being punished for their mistake. Terrible business. Do not purchase from them. Will NEVER use again
The theater had no heat and Fandango would not refund my money. Fortunately the theater refunded the ticket price. The service charge was a different story. I was on hold for over a hour and a half to be told no we don't refund. I have appealed to paypal. I will never use it again.
Fandango changed the date while my wife was trying to buy tickets, causing us to buy tickets for the complete wrong day. We were able to get a refund for Fandango credit but now it won't let us use that credit! We also never got the "convenience fee" refunded and will have to use our credit for that in the future. It is a rip-off!
I purchased tickets for a movie for last Friday night. We went, it was a great movie! However today I discovered I was charged twice and there were 2 confirmation email sent. I contacted support and since I didn't discover it before the movie time there is nothing they will do about it. I will never use Fandango again!
Online I changed my order from one adult & 2 child tickets to one senior & 2 child tickets (3 tickets) before purchase, but ended up with 1 adult, one senior, & 2 children (4 tickets) after purchase.
Fandango.com REFUSES to fix the mistake by chat or phone!
Fandango.com chat promised an answer in about 7 minutes but took over 40. Then it took an hour & 14 minutes to get an answer by phone. (I guess they are answering a lot of unhappy callers.)
The ONLY solution they have to ANY mistake is either a refund where you lose your $6.00 service fee or a credit to your account. Why would I want a credit to an account with a company that will not fix even their own mistake?
I called for a refund because the theatre they sold tickets for, is closed for construction. I can't believe that they sold tickets like that! I asked for a refund but they did not full refund me. They kept around $9 for themselves.The customer service I spoke says, its not their fault! He is angrier than me! I cant believe there is a business like this here in the US. We should call & report to business bureau & consumer protection.
Purchased tickets for a movie 2 days in advance, went to the theater the day of and the ticket dates were wrong. They were for 2 days earlier. Called customer service, was on hold for 45 minutes only to be told there is nothing they can do because it's passed my showtime. I will never go through them again. They screwed me out of my money and all I wanted was for them to move it to another day. I will never go through this company again. They are horrible! I hope they go out of business soon!
Try this: I bought tickets from Fandango, went to the theater on the day and time only to find there was no such movie or showing at all at that theater. The theater refunded me the tickets but I was left to pay for the internet fees, the parking, the gas etc to say nothing of my time wasted. When I contacted Fandango they told me over several emails that they could not refund me the fees because I did not request a refund BEFORE the movie time. Isn't that beautiful! Except there was no movie time and they were selling empty air and get to keep the fees. I call that theft. I turned to my cc company for a refund. Never use Fandango. They are thieves, period.
Terrible Fandango experience. The app failed twice while I tried to purchase 2 movie tickets. No confirmation received. No tickets received. No email. No in-app confirmation. I was in a hurry as I was at the theater so I eventually used Cinemark's site. Fandango charged me for the 4 tickets I never used and when I got a customer service rep they refused to refund my $24. Terrible experience online and with the rep! I'll never use Fandango again! Ever ever ever!
I too purchased tickets for one city and was sold tickets for a different city. I didn't know I had a problem until after my purchase was made 1 hour and 53 minutes before start of movie. You can't request a refund or ticket exchange from Fandango for anything less than 2 hours before the show. I was on hold for more than 50 minutes waiting for a supervisor and then I was automatically rolled into voice mail.
Purchased 5 tickets from fandango to see Solo May 27,2018. During the movie the theater had technical movies and we missed 20 minutes in the middle. I asked for a refund and they apologized and I was told I had to contact Fandango since I purchased through them.
I contacted Fandango. What terrible customer service. They refused to help me or give me a refund. They refused to call the theater and investigate. They told me I saw the movie, except for 20 minutes of the film and that I didn't deserve a refund!
And they charged me a $7.50 convenience fee. How convenient for Fandango. I will never buy tickets from this web site. Terrible.
Fandango has been besieged with a "fee for no service" principle of doing business.
My wife purchased two tickets for the Indian blockbuster movie "PK" and was charged a convenience fee of a couple of dollars per ticket. But when we got to Regal in Westboro Mass, there was no one at the multiplex to speed check in and we ended up waiting in line at a alternate ticket counter that was a part of the refreshments area! Obviously, Fandango has a small print somewhere stating that it's not up to them to manage customer service at the theatres, and as usual is the case, if the event isn't American, then the quality of the service drops because it's expected off people to put up with compromises.!
I accidentally bought movie tickets for today instead of tomorrow and when I realized it, it was already past when the movie had started for today. I tried calling the Fandango Customer Service number and just got a busy signal so I clicked to get help via Live Chat. I waited for 45 MINUTES and once I got connected they just said "Since it's after the show has already started there is a strict policy no refunds or exchanges." I pleaded with the guy because my daughter was really looking forward to this date with her dad. He had zero sympathy and stated the same thing again and again. This was a horrible customer service experience and I won't be using Fandango again!
I made a phone call to #FandangoNow some time ago about a credit that expired four months prematurely without any warning or email. I called customer service and they told me they would issue me a free rental. They did not keep their word and I would not do business with them in the future. I cannot condone a company that does not do what they promise to do.
Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
