I bought 4 tickets online and went to theater to pick them up. When I arrived at theater there were no tickets associated with the credit card and movie was sold out. 2 weeks later my credit card bill arrived with the transaction on it. Fandango says they can only refund before the movie date. So, no tickets, no movie, no refund. Last time I will use Fandango!
We purchased tickets for two and entered our Magical Movie Rewards number but the still charged a 3.00 surcharge. When we called them they said it wasn't their problem and were quite rude about it. We will now get our tickets at movietickets.com
This is an example of a great service company. 30 minutes before my movie time they gave me a refund when one of my kids got sick.
By their rules they clearly didn't have to, but I asked and they had no problem.
I've always used them in the past and will always use them in the future.
I've tried everything to buy tickets on Fandango. Impossible. Spoke with 2 Fandango agents and deleted my cookies... did everything they wanted me to do. The last agent put me on hold and lost me. All I want to do is to buy a few movie tickets, but now I'm so frustrated I'm just giving up.
Paid for tix, did not get confirmation via email. Spent over 30 minutes on hold with Fandango customer service. The representative finally sent me confirmation and the abruptly disconnected me. Will never use Fandango again
I get these fandango gift cards from time to time. Its complicated to use and many theatres dont accept them. Today I went online and bought two tickets to use at Showcase Cinemas in White Plains N. Y. When I got to the theater they dont accept fandango tickets. I had to buy the tickets and when I went back home to get a refund, I couldnt get it because of a time lapse. Why did fandango let the purchase go through in the first place? Always some confusion with this product... AVOID them if you can!
They will take your money. They do not care that "life" happens... and its just a darn movie! That just so happens to cost an arm and a leg! I spent an hour trying to find the area of the website to get a refund and all they had where their policies... it is basically a scam to make sure you loose your money if you can't make the movie... you might as well just wait in line and buy the tickets at the movies if there is any change in the world something might happen and you can't make it, FANDANGO DOES NOT CARE! And their customer service is even worse... they just copy and paste exactly what it is in the "Refund/Exchange" policy... haha... I can read... worse ever! Seriously, so my date night that was pushed back two days, I am paying for my tickets all over again! I will never use them again! I recommend you do not either!
I have been trying for the past 2 months to convert a couple of Fandango gift cards to fandango Now. As a result of Covid, i am not comfortable going to a theatre. I have tried on numerous time to have it corrected, but everytime they tell me it will be assigned to the department that perform that function and nothing happens. I keep following up and i received a response that it is being forward to the correct department. At this point its wasted money, as no one is resolving. Such a simple task assigning a code so the cards can be used on fandango now...
They charged me never sent any tickets and refused to refund me the money, because it was after the showing, this is literally theft. Me and my girl literally had to buy new tickets from AMC theatre. Alister Brent horrible customer service. And they hung up on me twice.,
DO NOT USE Fandango. We received a Fandango gift card as a gift, and tried to use at the theatre, but were informed that it could only be used online. When we used it online, they charged us $1.25 per ticket as a "convenience fee". This is a rip-off. The $25 gift card turned out only being worth $21.25 - the remaining $3.75 went to "convenience fees".
I have only used Fandango once, and I will NEVER use Fandango again! I bought tickets from them for the earliest showing on a Saturday not realizing that I purchased them at the wrong theater. I called them right away (which finding their telephone number on a mobile app was next to impossible) and by the time I was able to talk to a representative it was already after the show time (like i said it was the first showing of the day) They offered me nothing. No gift card, no exchange, no refund. Basically they took $40.00 from me for a movie I wasnt seeing because I bought them at the wrong theater. Worry free tickets is a lie in my opinion. Fandango is a rip off. When a company offers you NOTHING to make the situation right thatis not a company, thats a thief. I will never be using Fandango again, and please understand I will share this story again when causally talking with friends about going to the movies.
My one birthday present was go to see a movie. Got a date we all got dressed up. Check my card with a full balance and picked the movie. After numerous attempts both website and app would not process my purchase and give me my tickets. Regardless of the time, theater or movie.
There's no one to fix it on their costumer service line, and there's no help online. They don't care about their costumes. You ruined my birthday. And are lucky you can hide in your corporate buildings. I am looking up the closest address for your company so I can ruin your day.

Don't bother wasting your time trying to fix your Fandango issues. Just move on, never use this damned company again and tell all of your friends, relatives, aquantances, neighbors, coworkers, and any random person you bump into on the street to stay the F away from this company! Period!
I used Fandango to purchase movie tickets ahead of traveling to the out of town theater thinking it would save me time avoiding the box office. Instead, I still had to visit the box office window and the ticket agent had to type in my code, wait for confirmation and print us tickets despite the printed form I presented. It would have been slightly faster to just pay at the box office and Fandango charged me a fee for their service. Complete waste of time and money!
I was trying to buy tickets and it kept saying error. Then the movie started so i had to go to whole different theater and buy tickets there and then hours later they decided to process my order and charge me. It's ridiculous then when i try to get a refund they tell me there's nothing they can do for their own mistake.
After a website error resulting in me buying tickets to the wrong movie theater, I immediately tried accessing the fandango help line. After a good 20 minutes of waiting to be connected to someone, I was told they "couldn't do anything about it" because it was after show time, although when I first called them it was still before show time. Very disappointed in the customer service.
I paid for $100 worth of gift cards with the Holiday19 promo going and no where did a promo code or discount section become available. It went straight to my paypal and charged the full amount with no discount. I immediately contacted Fandango and they told me once the transaction went through they could not do anything and if I wanted to charge another $100 they could request a credit but that it was only a request, no guarantee. So... I charge $200 and maybe get a credit? Ridiculous!
I booked 9 tickets yesterday for the Bond movie at 4.10. The movie has not been out long, so we figured that paying the $12.50 Fandango fee was worth it... When trying to print out the infomation 1 hour to the show, we discovered that I had booked the wrong movie :(. . Contacted Fandango if we can change the movie or book one of the later, hopefully available, shows. Well guess what, since it is less then 2 hours prior to the movie they can not do anything. So $91.- down the drain!
We are new to the area and bought tickets on Fandango to a theater that was suppose to be close to us. NOT the case the map and address are don't exist! There is no phone number to call the theater either. We drove around for over 30 minutes looking for the theater. Fandango refuses to refund our money because I was unable to request a refund until after the movie started! SCAM
I purchased two tickets to 4-Star Cinema (two weeks ago) as a gift for my boyfriend on his birthday through Fandango. The day of, he realized that he would not be able to make the showing. I called 4-Star requesting a refund and was told that I would have to go through Fandango.
I went onto the Fandango website and was directed to "live chat." I waited over an hour and a half for a representative. Once the rep became available, she told me she would have to call 4-star. I waited an additional 20 minutes for her to do so. Once she returned, I was told that 4-star did not offer refunds, only credits, and that I would have to contact them about it directly.
Once the "live chat" ended I went back onto the 4-star site and filled out a digital form regarding the issue and asking for some sort of compensation or option. I even pasted the "live chat" conversation into the request.
4-Star never got back to me. We never made the showing and I was forced to eat the $18.
Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
