The customer service department consists of someone saying, I'm sorry but we can't help you. It doesn't matter that their Web site and conformation email advertised the wrong movie time. It doesn't matter that the movie started while waiting for costumer service. There was no assistance of any kind provided and I would urge anyone to utilize a different service.
I tried to use an old $25 gift card on line & got no where so I called their helpline. What a farce & waste of time that was. Basically the card doesnt have a pin # so therefore it is not valid even though the fine print at the bottom of my card states there is no expiration date. So Fandango has my $25 & about 45 minutes of my time which I cant get either back! Avoid Fandango at all cost!
I purchased tickets online. The kiosk at the theater gave me a message it was unable to retrieve the tickets. I was able to purchase tickets from the electronic kiosk fro the movie. I contacted Fandango expecting it should be easy to resolve. All I've gotten from Fandango customer service was: a request to join Fandango, statement that they are unable to refund the money they took and failed to provide the purchased product, requests for more information (supplied), and emails that if they have no further contact from me in 48 hours they will consider the issue resolved, and thanks for the business.
Did not realize I purchased a ticket for the wrong day and they wouldn't even give me a credit for another day. I will never use this site again. These people are useless! Basically what the rep told me after I waited a whole hour is that I'm out of $45.
Well, my first experience was not good with Fandango. I purchased a ticket online and then went to the theatre with my credit card as instructed. I thought I had the right machine but I ended up buying yet another ticket with the same credit card. Really, it should not be so easy to screw up. I might have to use this service again, but I really fear paying twice.
I tried to get a refund for a movie I had purchased for the wrong time. I thought it went through but both charges were on my credit card, so I contacted them. I was on a chat hold for almost an hour (twice) and then days later I finally got someone and could not get the refund. I will never purchase tickets from them again. I also tried to use a $5 coupon, followed all the instructions accurately, and it would not go through.
I suggest people switch to Starpass. I tried them and have had no problems.
I purchased the tickets for Houston theater and it sent me an email with tickets for San Antonio tickets. Called them, had to wait about an hour and reply was they cannot refund the purchase or exchange it. I don't understand why theaters do business with such a company.
Oh, just saw that the parent company is Comcast. What else can you expect...

I received a 25.00 gift card. I was charged a 2.00 fee. After purchasing 2 tickets there was 3.80 left on my card, which I cannot use because you can't buy anything else. Also a big hassle! Wish there was an option for zero stars!
Fandango will not refund money for tickets the movie theater could not locate by confirmation, credit card number, phone number or name. The bank has the charge as well as the duplicate tickets I had to purchase for myself and my three year old granddaughter!
Wow, my tickets were $27.50 for 2 adult and 1 child ticket and just before I hit "purchase"" I saw $31.20? $3.70 convenience fee? More than 10% of the cost of my tickets? I use Fandango for "convenience" when looking up show times but I will NEVER buy tickets when their fees are passed to me! #hellonetflix
There was a problem at the theatre with the credit card reader and I had left my phone at home, so didn't have the confirmation number. Both the theatre and Fandango refused to refund the extra set of tickets. Not using Fandango again. Very unhelpful.
Really disgraceful company this is. I bought tickets to a movie, then I get there and other people are in my seats. They have the same seats as me. It was sold twice. Then they wouldn't give me a refund. Don't EVER buy anything from fandango, from what I can tell it's a scam
If i could give this a "0" i would. Worst site EVER! Thought i would save time by buying tickets online for a new release, WRONG! I think i have wasted more time trying to speak to someone at customer support than i would if i would of waited in line at Disney!
I ordered my tickets, got my email, credit card charged. Go to open the link in my email and this is what i get "Sorry, the order you are attempting to view either failed or does not exist." So like anyone i try customer service, i call and get a VM which says it is full after 2 rings. So thinking i did something wrong i try again, and again and again. Same result. Now i am waiting on the online chat, i started off as +1300 about 45 mins ago, i am now 853 with still an average of 45min wait.
Are you kidding me!?!? This is absolutely horrible. How can you even call this customer service?

Fandango return policy is unfair! Once you purchase with a credit card, then change your mind, i. E. movie time. To save an additional handling fee you can transfer to credit. If you decide you want a refund, once the money is in fandango credit you cannot receive a refund on your credit card. This would be fine if they actually told you this when the transaction was taking place... but they don't.
To make matters worse, when you go online to speak with a customer representative, the "time to speak with a customer service rep" shows 19 min, 21 min... when in reality it took 66 minutes to reach the customer service person.
I will use my credit and NEVER purchase through Fandango again!
Well, for those who have the iPhone App, great.
For those using the website, I'd have to say utilize their movie information, and reviews (keep in mind their "user" reviews are sometimes sketchy) I mean when "users" post about the movie they say being horrible, or great and having a posting date of several months before it is even released.
Sometimes the website doesn't have up to date reviews for movies that are released, even though the reviews are available on other websites.
But in general, fandango.com is a awesome website just, if you can avoid the online ticket purchase do so, otherwise their fees are well I guess the fees are alright if you don't like standing in a box office line.
Purchased tickets, wasnt able to go requested a refund numerous times before the show start time and kept getting an error message. Chatting with a rep was impossible as well and when I finally spoke to a rep via phone they denied my refund stating it was after the show start time now. I requested to speak to someone else and was told my issue would be escalated and I would hear back with resolution which I never heard back from anyone. Complete rip off!
Just saw Avatar and skipped the crazy line scene using fandango. I never knew it was so easy to buy tickets before going to the movies. Bad news is the extra fee they charge you, but well worth it as I hate lines. One bad part of fandango is they don't have every theater around and I noticed some of the smaller theaters do not use it.
What a ripoff. The four dollar convenience fee is almost as much as the matinee ticket! This was a 25.00 gift card and has 5 dollars left. Whats the point of using that? Another 4.00 charge? Ridiculous! I will never buy one of these cards again for anyone. I will also advise everyone I know of the scam that is going on.
They charged my credit card twice, and I have been trying for 5 weeks to call them asking for a refund with no luck. They continue to say someone will contact you in 7 to 10 business, and that the process has been expedited, etc... no calls and no refund of my $45. Called my credit card company to dispute the charges. Never Again I will use this company
Fandango is a rip off. The customer service gave me the wrong info and they would not help me after the transaction.

Answer: Shauna, try Ken's suggestion. After years as a loyal customer & "Fan" of Fandango, I had an issue that should have been easily resolved. When I finally spoke to a live CSR, the response & subsequent email were robotic & useless. I now buy gift cards from the theatres & save my $$ and time. Good luck to you, though!
Answer: You do Julie S., but if you purchase it within 2 hours of the movie you are out of luck and that's what I happened to do. I accidentally chose that same day rather than the next day (Saturday) and since I was within a 2 hour time frame they said too bad. Never will use them again that's for sure. It was an honest mistake and I explained that but the woman on the phone was very nasty.
Answer: I would try emailing them, unfortunately there is no one to call as far as I know. If that doesn't work why don't you try calling a theater near you that takes fandango, ask for a manager. Answer: I didn't wake up with a dead horse in my bed but all other evidence in dealing with Fandango indicate that they are mob-owned. Perhaps the mob has more morals. Maybe not mob-owned. What would be worse than the mob because that's likely who owns them. Difficult question to answer. Best not to do business with them anyway.
