I will never shop at Family Dollar again. I have several times in the past. They hire predatory parking enforcement with long criminal records. We ran reverse look ups on the number on the ticket and the # my daughter had send the apple pay too Last night my daughter met her sister went to this Beat the Bomb place at 3638 Tryclan Dr. The parking lot was full so my daughter parked next door. When she came out there was a boot on her car and a large man standing by it who told her she had to pay $200 to get it off. She wanted to call her sister. He told her not too. He asked if she had apple pay and she does. She had to apple pay him $200 to get the boot removed. I understand and accept that my daughter may have parked somewhere she shouldn't have. (I have been towed twice in my life). Something seems really sketchy about this though. I googled "Lab Towing and Parking Solution". Doesn't seem to exist on google. Family Dollar I understand your need to keep people who aren't your customer at the current moment out of your lot but if yo hire people who intimidate young girls for exorbitant amounts of money I can no longer frequent your stores and will tell many this story.

I had a terrible experience today at this Family Dollar store. I have been buying here for 3 years and it is the first time that an employee is so rude. This woman said she was the manager of the place named SARA. She had a rude and arrogant attitude. I bought two items and I have previously bought these same items for 1 dollar. Now it said 2 dollars and when I paid at the cashier they charged me almost 5 dollars for each item. The "manager" was the worst. She doesn't know how to speak well to customers. Another very nice employee told me that this manager was so arrogant. I don't like that my son had to see this situation. Fraudulent prices and a manager who seems to have no education. I hope no one buys here. They put prices that are not correct and then they tell you that they cannot return your money. And this manager should not have this position in the store. Now the customer should be more respected, because we are the ones who spend our money in these stores. Obviously I do not recommend this store. She should not name Family Dollar because almost nothing costs 1 or 2 dollars. They also invent policies so that the client cannot ask for money back.

Went up tp 291 and 23rd street family dollar in my wheel chair and paid with food stamps bill should have been around 33.50 for 6 Pepsi 3 gator aids 4 snickers and 2 teriyaki jerky's but it came out to 42.75 there is no tax on food stamps the person who worked the cash register was tina this is like the 3 time she had over charged me i don't know if she does not like me or just sucks at her job charged me 5 extra Pepsi's so a total of 11 how ya suppose to carry 11 2 liters with a wheel chair

Disgusted

I used the $5 off $25 coupon on Saturday as instructed. Everything was in order but as ' their system was down' I was refused the $5 rebate with no apology. Trying to get in touch with head office proved futile. Finally I received a vm from some one called Lori but when returning the call at the number she left.no one knew who she was … it's only a small amount but if they do this to everyone it can soon add up. Such a scam!

After filing a complaint with corporate about an assistant manager hiring her younger autistic brother and using him to do her work the manager of that store called my husband and made personal comments on our family situation, he shared the details of the complaint with employees and this assistant manager was texting me at the same time call was made. The siblings are still working in the same store(against company policy) as corporate has not seen this issue was resolved in several months. The autistic young man is still in the store with the dominating sister.

Nasty Smell

Bad policy wrong doings

I bought a phone and went home it was defective. Had original receipt and the manager would not even exchange it. Store ******* and was rude. The sign I took a pic of hanging right above register says if you have the receipt and box you can exchange. I want everyone to know family dollar does not care the phone and card was over 100. I only needed it for my dying brother to call when he was ready after chemo treatments. I don't think anyone should do business with family dollar they don't care about life long customers.

Rude manager

I was at the store today to get some cat food. The girl at the register was very nice and met all my needs I think her name was courtney, very positive attitude. However I forgot a can of cat food and the manager was very rude and did not help resolve my issue. This photo is the cans I bought by themselves and my receipt showing that I am missing a can.

I have been shopping at Family Dollar since the store opened on Rockaway Blvd in Woodhaven and it has gone downhill! The store is disgustingly dirty, disorganized and there is a lack of product on the shelves especially detergent, its behind the counter making that area look like crap. The manager could not care less, another one smokes marijuana outside the store while working. Jasmine is the hardest worker in that store and actually should be the manager because she cares, is helpful and more. I still shop there because of her!
I managed restaurants for 35 years and any manager needs to care and put effort into things. Jasmine does...the manager does not! If Jasmine leaves so will I!
This store needs to be cleaned badly and organized!

I was told by my supervisor that I was too loud in front of an employee. I also had an ear infection and I couldn't hear myself talk. I was not given the chance to defend myself, and she didn't want to listen to my side of the story cuz it didn't matter to her.

They are the worst customer service company around. They not on one schedule. Some do cash app payments some don't. I drove around to 3 different locations in the winter storm to make payments to cash app. It's sad that was the worst for me. I wrote this on 01/13/24

Very rude

Dawn was very rude I went in with my friend and my friend wanted to not get the gum and dawn said, " how much money do you have my friend said 42 then she yelled if you have $40 you have plenty to give to me for the stuff that you got so just give me the money it was $17 and my friend did not want the gum so we went back and we returned the gum and she got all upset. She was throwing the money she was throwing the gum she was throwing the receipt she was throwing the cart. She was throwing everything she was so mad she was yelling at us in the store, everybody looked at her. Everybody looked at us and her. My friend was crying because of her!

The Manager has no Customer Service skills, " he hung up on my aunt", he dropped the ball on a customer all she was doing is she trying to make a valid cash return for my daughter because it did not fit her. They did not stand behind their own return policy practices at this location she has her cash receipt and she is within less than the 30 days. This store unfairly treated her who has needs in not following their own policy in place. They are supposed to treat as the customer with dignity and respect he and she did not I will be going to their corporate office head, NBC CT and reporting to the BBB.

Rude employees

Me & 2 other customers were forced to leave behind the items we wanted to purchase bc the only employee working was outside smoking & watching videos on her phone. This happens often. If the are inside the store they're having inappropriate conversations on their cell phones while ringing you up.

Prices are misleading

I've been asking about this issue for months, but the manager refuses to update the price on the shelf compared with the price paid at the register. You pay more than $3.60 for a Starbucks iced coffee. But on the shelf it's advertised as $3.15! Again, two months have gone by since the price changed and I've asked about this at least once a week but I'm ignored. They seem to think it's all pretty amusing. This is store number *******, 332 Valley St. In Providence, Rhode Island. *******. Customer satisfaction is zero. Never going back there!

It doesn't get cheaper. Ya it says dollar on the front but when they're selling 50 cent china trash for 20 bucks I gotta draw a line. $#*! the family dollar and their corporate approach to communities. Go out of business so the mom and pop stops can come back. Leeches.

WOMAN FILLS UP BUGGY PUTTING ALL FOOD ON COUNTER. SHE LEAVES OTHER ITEMS IN BUGGY, THAT WAY ALL THE BAGS WILL COVER THEM AND CASHIER CAN'T SEE OVER THE COUNTER SO THEY DON'T NOTICE MORE ITEMS. THIS LADY WALKS OUT THE STORE SHOPLIFTING. MORE CAMERAS SHOULD BE IN PLACE, MAINLY OUTSIDE THE REGISTER OVER THE CUSTOMER TO READ THE BUGGY ITEMS. I WAS POINTING TO THE LADY AND HER ITEMS AND SHE TURNED HER HEAD. I WALKED OUT THE DOOR SAYING LET ME FIND THE PHONE NUMBER TO CALL STORE MANAGER WHILE SHE STOOD THERE, SHE PROBABLY WAS WAITING ON ME TO LEAVE, BECAUSE WHEN I WAS LEAVING, SHE STARTED TOWARD DOOR AND PULLED HER CAR UP SINCE SHE COULDN'T BRING BUGGY OUT. WE ALL PAY FOR SHOPLIFTERS, BEAWARE OF THIS CRIME CASHIERS SHOULD CHECK THE BUGGY TO MAKE SURE ALL ITEMS ARE PAID FOR. OLD NATIONAL HIGHWAY, GEORGIA!
