Wonderful store

Wonderful store wouldn't shop anywhere else I've been to a lot of dollar stores and this is by far the cleanest and well taken care of Store. Personnel here and are great and take care of you and you don't have to wait around for someone to help you. They're always right there when you need them.

If the employees don't speak English how do they handle none spanish speaking customers? They smile and nod. One day just to test my theory, I asked if the sky was orange, she smiled and nodded her head and said thank you?!

Rude employees

Me & 2 other customers were forced to leave behind the items we wanted to purchase bc the only employee working was outside smoking & watching videos on her phone. This happens often. If the are inside the store they're having inappropriate conversations on their cell phones while ringing you up.

Lack of customer satisfaction

To whom it may concern,
I purchased a gift card in Family Dollar Today. While the customer service representative that waited on me was very professional, I asked for a gift receipt for the purchase. The representative was not sure if she could give me a gift receipt, so she looked at the assistant manager who was counting down a draw, never left her post, and told me I do not get a gift receipt. I replied yes, every time I have purchased a gift card I have received a gift receipt. The assistant manager replied, " I have been working her for 9 months and we have never given out a gift receipt. I replied, then I don't wish to purchase the card without a receipt. She responded, we cannot refund the transaction, still in her same spot, with a voice of authority…I replied then I will right a review for this store, and she could careless, and replied "that's fine, " but we don't give receipts. What sn unprofessional experience! No longer are employees trained to service the needs of customers? Wow!

FRAUD
August 24, 2023

I bought a speaker and we I got home it was not loud enough for me. There was no return policy on the receipt nor inside the store so 2 days later I took the speaker back for a refund and the employee told me I couldn't get a refund per they policy, I asked where was the policy and he said he don't know and they would have to put one up, I told him I will be willing to take 8n store credit and he refused that also.I asked to speak with the manager and he took my receipt and walked around the store for about 10 minutes, he then came back and said the manager said I couldn't get a refund. The money had already came out of my bank account and they still have the speaker and I never got a refund.

Today I had a horrible verbal exchange with the store Manager in Munhall PA. He banned me from the store after I paid $136 for my items. Because I asked politely if he could review the cash register tapes because the cashier seemed to ring the same item 3 times and I just wanted to be sure. I'm counting every penny right now. He also reminded that 1 year in a half ago he banned me from visiting the store because after working night shift. I forgot that I left my debit card in my work bag in the card. And I left it in the car. He berated me and I ask him why he was being so mean so he told me that I could no longer visit the store which led to a heated exchange. I was infuriated because I spend over $100 with every visit and often visit the store 2-3 a month. I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years and he could ban me because I made a mistake and left me card in my work bag in my car? Both times this same store manager. I believe hood name is Adam. Stated that he's the manger so he can do what he wants. And I don't know how that fair for him to treat paying customers that way and cost the company loss of sales it is impossible to speak with anyone at corporate. The number provided to customer is not useful. I have reached out to corporate but have received no response. This manager is often the topic of conversation in the community and is known for the way he behaved in the store and treats customers. I don't think the compost takes the treatment of customers seriously.

Never go there again

This one girl there was extremely disrespectful by kicking me and my friend out for saying that we were too loud once we only were too the first time she then later was there the next time that we went into the store and at the checkout she said "we can never go "HER" store again." the people in Ohio need to grow the $#*! up and actually know what's wrong and what's right because the times we were there we spent over 205 dollars. In my opinion that's pretty much her whole paycheck in a month. All we did was talk in normal voices and maybe laughed a couple times but not very loudly, usually the customer service is horrible. We are only 12 years old and she kept on giving us attitude all the way through the process of the checkout she would not staring at us with dirty looks. I warn you do not go into a family dollar in ohio

A freezer location that is marked $1.25 and everything inside that section should be that price, correct? Think again, your paying a total different price than expecting. So people watch ur prices as they gouge every little cent or dollar they can from you. And did not want to leave a srar

The store is a mess all the time. There was a sale ad and when I got to the store it was not the same price. When I asked the sales clerk whey, they could not explain whey even with the ad right in front of them. I asked to speak with a manager and they said call back tomorrow. I did and the manager still did not know the answer to my question. He said come in tomorrow to speak to the supervisor... when I came in the same person who was on the phone said that he still did not have the answer and that the supervisor was not here I gave him my name and phone number and to this day I have still not received a response... I have done 2 surveys and said I wanted to be contacted and still no contact.

The crank head manger wanted to yell out across the sells floor telling me I couldn't have my service dog with me! Well the hell with her! Hopefully corporate handles her! She needs to be worried about a k9 not a service dog! Plus when did family dollar start letting you boyfriend or husband hang out on your job
