I received an email confirmation after placing an order; it was incorrect (wrong length in pants). I immediately emailed Everlane back and got an after hours response. The next morning I received an email that I can only make changes or cancel an order within 1-hour of making it, which I did; keep in mind you can't call and Everlane apparently doesn't hire anyone to read emails "after hours." And apparently your order is in the mail within an hour - yeah right! I'm traveling and was told to go to a library and print out a return label! Well that's inconvenient! I like the clothes but Everlane's customer service, cancellation & return policies suck! No thanks! Hopefully Nordstrom will carry more of their pieces.
I placed an order for a tote from Everlane last April and LOVE it. However, someone hacked into my Everlane account, added a shipping address, and made a purchase using my saved credit card. I notified Everlane immediately and was told I would be contacted by a team member. I just received the notice that the fraudulent orders had been shipped. Very disappointing, very poor business model, great way to lose customers.
Let me start out by saying I usually don't write reviews and that i'm in the customer service industry myself. After having a slight issue with my girlfriends birthday present they fully rectified the situation and with style. Their team of customer service reps are easy to get a hold of and work quickly to help you with your issues. I also love that they have some of the thickest and softest cashmere around. 5 stars all day for Everlane!
Poor quality shoes. Extremely uncomfortable and it gave me blisters the first day of wearing it to work. For $150 dollars you would expect more. The Day Heel shoes are just plain painful to wear. I will never buy from a website that gives itself raving reviews again... it's just plain dishonest.
I haven't even received my items yet, but I spent over $1,000 at Everlane and none of it has arrived yet after placing my order OVER two weeks ago. This is 2019, not 2009. Customers except order to arrive within a week of placing an order now, and almost every other big retailed guarantees this. Waiting more than two weeks for an order is just crazy. Can't imagine how long the whole process will take if I have to return anything.
I found Everlane through a few Instagram ads. I jumped wagon and loved how simple their website is, the transparency of goods, imagery of the factories and ethical sources, and the cut cost of the middle-man. They have styles that I have not seen on other brands, such as the shape of their flats, and the cut on a lot of their tees.
I don't believe that their middle-man story is true. And a white tee is $25, which in my standards, still feels quite expensive for the fabric. Each and every top I purchased had fabric that is super thin and see-through. I can vouch that Madewell sells tops and tees for around the same price, but the quality in comparison is much better. Plus, their stated traditional retail cost sounds ridiculous.
Lastly, returns are a nightmare. You could try returning to their NYC store, but the lines are terrible and they make you wait outside in a line to prevent "overcrowding" in the store. So pretentious.
I have used Everlane four or five times over the last couple of years. Delivery times to Scotland have been exceptionally good (5 days being the typical norm).
The quality of clothing has been solid, but not up there with the best (but then again, Everlane don't charge top prices).
Worthy of mention would be my Parka. I got it in the sale, and I consider it to be an absolute bargain when compared to other jackets that I own (all of which cost at least three times as much).
The heavy weight T shirt arrived with poor dye job on the front. In order to return the item, I had to email the company and request for an RMA. Then one of the staff requested me to take a photo of the defect and email it to them before they would provide a shipping label which will deduct $6 from my refund. Absolutely one of the worst shopping experiences. No wonder Amazon is winning. Never do business with them again.
They advertise on Facebook that they have the most comfortable shoe - normally would not spend 150.00 but they called them "day shoes, that you can walk all day in them". Well, they ran small, so i returned the first pair (and I had to pay for shipping to return them) 8$ I still wanted to believe them so I order a larger size, they arrived - they are NOT comfortable at all, and the elastic cuts into my heal! So now I have to pay a process fee of $6.00 and another 8$ to return this larger size! So I have paid $22. For a pair of shoes I didn't like - I will never shop here again.
Everlane stands out from among other ethical shopping options by being remarkably reasonable (and transparent, of course) in its pricing as well as by offering consistently high quality products. I have never been disappointed by an Everlane purchase and have not yet had to return any product.
After seeing how beautiful their products are I ordered over $1200 of clothes... it is now 12 days later and I got TWO of the dozen things I ordered. That 4-7 days delivery timeframe is BS! And there is NO human you can call to address issues. I called the store and they can't help. Only can email your complaints. Wish I can block this company from taking my money.
I never received my order from Everlane - not their fault, but their customer service sorting out the issue was a huge problem. Nobody responds to the emailed contact form on the website. I got through immediately on FB messenger (why do I have to go through FB?) and the rep told me to wait three days to REALLY make sure the package showed up. This is after I had already waited three days to contact customer service because their website advised it, just in case a package was marked delivered prematurely. So now it's almost two weeks since the package was marked delivered, and Everlane is silent on FB, email, and IG. I will never order again since there is no way to get in touch. How can you offer online orders without any reliable contact?
I purchased two of the Everlane leather market totes and after less than a year of use, the straps on both have split and broken. I contacted Customer Service to express my disappointment, and they offered no acceptable solution. The bags are stylish, but the quality is not good. I would not buy from this company again - partially for the quality but mostly due to their abysmal customer service. I hope with this review it saves other customers from the same disappointment
I purchased a pair of the Day Glove based on the exceptional reviews. These shoes are OK, but not nearly as comfortable as many other brands. The "cream" color is really taupe.
The toe box is not as rounded as it appears in the photos on the site. They are too narrow for people with foot problems. Lastly, the sole is VERY thin. There isn't nearly enough padding to walk comfortably on pavement.
I wish I had read the reviews online rather than just on their website before I placed an order.
It has now been a full month since I placed an order with Everlane, and still no trace of my parcel ('en route' every day for a month). This is absolutely insane. With clothing I am pretty forgiving and will return and repurchase items if I realize I chose the wrong size, but I am fully over it at this point. If these jeans don't fit on top of the insane wait, I will just cut my losses and never place another order.
I purchased 3 pairs of shoes I saw advertised on a blog. I've worn the same size shoe all my adult life and the size never fails to fit, so I felt comfortable order three pairs of the same shoe in 3 different colors. I paid $25. Extra to get them quickly so I could take them on a trip to Europe. They fit like an 8. This is a simple, slip on shoe. There's no valid explanation for a size difference that great. Sure, I can get a refund--minus their $6. Restocking fee (per item) and minus the $25. For the fast shipping. That's nearly the price of a pair of shoes. Very disappointing! I will never order from Everlane again.
I bought a pair of the washed black high rise skinny jean, love how soft they are and how well they fit. Less than 8 months later they ripped in the back by the pocket, not repairable. I expected them to last longer than that. Very disappointed in the quality and the response.
They ship to Europe but do not offer free returns for customers in Europe. This is not mentioned when starting the return process on their website, only in the fine print of their terms and conditions. So be careful when ordering from outside the US. This is extremely bad customer service. I will not order there again.
Clicked on a link that said special 4 day shipping for first time purchases. Made the purchase, get an email confirmation that now said 4-7 days shipping then get the Fedex Link that has it arriving 13 days (9 business days) after ordering. I was visiting from the UK. The package will arrive to an Airbnb after I'm gone. I ordered many things that I needed and am now out the items, out the money and get the extra stress of having to ask a stranger if she might not steal the item, but place a return label and bring it to the post office?! Very very unimpressed.
I ordered a pair of trousers— a new item, listed as in stock — a month ago. I am still waiting for delivery. I did get a notice that the item shipped — TWENTY days ago — but every time I track the package the projected delivery date is further out. At this point, I no longer want what I purchased. I'm over it. If this parcel ever arrives it is getting shipped right back to Everlane.
Answer: Did you receive products you didn't order, or are you looking for more information on products to order?
Answer: Their customer service is non existent. I am having same problem as you without resolve. I've given up. I hope you are able to resolve your issue. I've purchased from Everlane before -- and they were great. BUT I had no problems... I think the issues arise when something isn't right with the order or if the merchandise doesn't fit.
