I ordered two items with custom measurements and was given a delivery window of 2-3 weeks. After 4 weeks the items hadn't been shipped, so I reached out. It took 5 emails and two phone calls over 10 days to get any kind of response, and then it was a curt rep saying "one of the items is done and the other one is being sent to production." No idea when they'd be finished. Well, they finally arrived (about 6 weeks after ordering) and (a) neither fit and (b) neither was flattering. Instead of their "free remake" I opted to just return the items. Using the return label they provided, I dropped the package in the mail the day after I received it. Apparently it's been swallowed by the post office because there is no indication that it's been received by eshakti, and again I am getting radio silence from "customer service." I contacted them asking that, since it was THEIR shipping label that THEY provided, that they should have a way of tracking the return. But since I cannot get a response from a person, I suppose I'm just out $100 and have learned a lesson. One of my worst customer experiences ever.
I've been ordering dresses from eShakti for many years and have always had a wonderful experience - I still have my first eshakti dress. I loved their fabrics and customization options. However, in November 2022 I ordered a custom dress and when I received it, it was very bizarrely proportioned and the quality of the sewing was not good. There were loose threads and uneven stitching. I've never had problems with dresses from eShakti like this before, so I was surprised. I immediately started the RMA process, shipped the dress back and received email notification that my return had been received from their return center. Here we are, it's mid-March of 2023 and I have not gotten my money back! I'm very disappointed. This is a company I trusted and recommended many of my friends, and now I think they have changed for the worse.
I've ordered from eshakti in the past and been very happy but unfortunately the company no longer seems to be functional. The item I ordered is weeks late and the status on their website indicates they have not even started production yet. The item I ordered was a standard size with no customization requests. I could understand a delay however I have sent multiple emails to the company requesting an update/explanation for the delay and opened a ticket with PayPal but I have not received a single response from their customer service. This complete lack of communication is frankly unacceptable. Their social media channels, which I wish I had checked before I ordered again, are filled with comments from people in the exact same situation - items weeks or months late or never shipped at all, refunds not processed and no response from customer service ever. Bottom line I would not recommend ordering from this site as they no longer seem to be capable of producing or shipping items and once they take your money they will not speak to you or give your money back.
I ordered a dress for a friend's wedding roughly two months in advance. The expected delivery was several weeks before the wedding. After the estimated delivery time passed, I sent three emails over two weeks asking if there was an updated delivery date. They responded to none of these emails. A few days before my friend's wedding, I bought another dress and I sent a final email asking for a refund. At this point, they finally gave me an updated delivery date (well-passed the wedding). I'll update when/if I get that refund but given their customer service, I'm suspecting I'll have to dispute it on my credit card...
EShakti is the only way I can get a top or dress that fits, and they never disappoint. You do have to plan ahead because it takes a little longer obviously then going to another online site or a store but it's so so worth it. I have 10- and 12-year-old pieces from eShakti than look brand-new -- it is the opposite of "fast fashion."
Again I see this shop online. And I feel really bad. It was my favorite store, I ordered very high quality things. But, something went wrong, my order did not come. I've been waiting four weeks, he's gone. No one answers calls and emails. I'm sorry, but I do not recommend you order from this store.

I got a message to look package, If not there to wait 4 more days before notifying for non delivery. It was a 10 day delay after notice. I expect slow delivery, since items are made. The message caused concern. It would be better to give a progress prompt. Your order is under way, your order is being shipped to our distribution point, your order has arrived in the states, etc.

I recently made an order for some special dresses for my 20th wedding anniversary trip, and more than a month has gone by without any updates. Their social media pages show that this is not an isolated incident. They're deleting comments from their pages and people are getting very frustrated. I had really great experiences with this company in the past so it's amazing to see an inclusive and relatively affordable slow fashion brand take such a turn. They said they'd update me but my order hasn't been updated yet and they haven't gotten back to me. They do have a link to a website review site (this one) at the top of their page boasting a 4.7 average which seems purposefully deceptive. I will probably have to reach out to my credit card company to stop the charge soon.
Interesting clothing but it came and none of it fit. Would have been interested in trying again except that it is over 3 months later and i'm still waiting for a refund. Would be happy to re-post a rating if and when I ever get my money back. I ordered a lot so it is over 300$ refund that i am waiting on. They handled printing the return receipts easily, you can get in touch with a human for that, but waiting and waiting and waiting on my money back seems like a scam at this point. Buyer beware.
I'm really disappointed because I'd heard great things about them and had a friend who has a good experience. I put my custom order in Feb. 9, and in the confirmation it said I'd receive it between Feb. 22-28 which was great. By Feb. 24 I hadn't received a shipping email so I emailed them. No reply. I followed up three days later since the automated email said I'd hear back in 24-48 hours. No reply. So I called. The person I spoke to couldn't see any of my emails (confusing). They informed me there was a delay because the fabric was damaged and production was supposed to have contacted me (they did not). The rep did not apologize or express any sympathy. They told me they would contact production and email me by the end of the next day. They said they would rush it so I would have it by March 15, which was fine since I needed it by April 1 and needed time in case of alternations. I waited and about an hour before the end of the next day hadn't heard anything so I called. I spoke with the same person who told me there was no update and they couldn't have it to me by when I needed it (no acknowledgment of this being the opposite of what they had said yesterday). At that point I lost trust in them and asked to cancel for a refund which they did. They told me I would receive an email with refund details from the billing team in 2 days. It's been 3 and I haven't received that. The automated cancellation email also said it would arrive in 2-3 days so this rep seems like they are inconsistent in understanding company procedures. For me it was a really bad experience and very bad customer service- which does seem to be unusual as they have good reviews across the bald. Would not order again.
I placed an order in mid-Jan with a delivery date was to be from Jan 26-Feb 1, as I had an event in early Feb. The dress arrived on March 1, one month late. I guess luckily, the event got postponed. During this delay, I reached out via phone and the customer champion email multiple times for updates when the dress didn't arrive as expected. I never received an update from the customer champion. On the phone, someone was finally able to give me a ship date of Feb 25 (a month late). The phone customer service people were very pleasant, but seemed so frustrated as they said they didn't have access to any information and were bombarded by calls as all shipments were late.
So, the ordering experience did not live up to the website promises at all.
However, when I finally got the dress, it is lovely. This was my first time shopping with eShakti and I was happy that I could order a standard size which would be adjusted for my height. Fits perfectly, seems well made and as I put in my height, the dress is cut longer in the waist and skirt, which I LOVE! I may just wear it around the house to feel beautiful.
Based on this experience, I would only order again if I didn't need to receive the dress anytime soon. If it was for an event at least 3 months out, then sure, as the quality and design is amazing for the cost.

Eshakti is amazing! I love how adjustable the dresses are for length, neckline and sleeve! What I have learned is that there are further changes you can make if you write in the comments such as add an inch in length. The fit is great and has been spot on. (I have only done custom via a friend doing the measurements). My main frustration has been understanding what actually looks good on my body shape and finding the right choice for a mother of the bride dress that meets the brides specifications! Another point, is that if you are ordering multiple items but need one in particular quicker, it is probably better to order that one separately. It seems they are backed up and single items may be done quicker than large orders. Also, when calling customer service, try in the middle of the day as your call is more likely to get answered. They were VERY helpful in getting an item to me quicker. The quality of the sewing is very good and the packaging is unusually special.
Standard fit is inconsistent and service response time is shockingly slow. Some articles are outstanding in quality and fit and others are substandard.

Answer: I have been ordering the standard sizes and they are true to the measurements posted. No matter what you put in your height, so the length is always spot on.
Answer: Purchase a dress that is made with the knit fabric. It is flexible and much more loose feeling than the other fabrics. If you do decide to add inches to the measurement, I recommend only adding 1-2 inches AND only add those inches where you like it loser. For example, measure your arms true to size unless you like it a bit lose. Measure your waist true to size unless that is where you like it a bit lose. But honestly, I think you will find the knit dresses to be the best if you dislike tight fitting clothing! I also am not a fan and those are the dresses I wear most often! I have bought other styles, so I have other fabrics to compare it to.
