Needed a formal dress. Ordered a size off the rack. Was a little tight in waist so sent it back free of charge and ordered one with my measurements. I received it back in a week. I was on a time crunch with my event looming. The dress was a little big so clearly my measurements were a little off but I was able to take it in on the sides and it was perfect. The customer service I received throughout the whole process was beyond any expectation I could have had. This will be my go to in the future for all of my dresses. Very reasonably priced too. Only an extra $14 for customization. Beyond happy. I had one of the prettiest dresses at the Gala too.

I love the dress and the fit. It is perfect, my husband likes it too, and I am excited to wear it to a wedding in May! It's super cute, and will be a great option for my husband's work parties as well. I just chose my regular size and my height, and it is exactly right. They take returns if you need to return, so don't worry about that. Their customer service is so amazing, and it's a great price for a nice dress. Great quality!

As a very large woman, size as well as height, finding clothing has always been difficult for me. Finding flattering styles has been impossible. The approach of my son's wedding had me frantically trying to find appropriate and suitable attire for both the wedding and for the formal dinner reception. That the clothing would fit, that it would be tailored to my unusual height and that if anything was wrong I could return it and they would reimburse everything, even my customization fees and shipping. There were a lot of promises and I nervously awaited the delivery, fully expecting to be disappointed. When my box arrived and I tried on the outfits, I completely understood why they were able to offer the guarantees. Each piece was beautifully tailored, with quality fabrics and precise sizing. The lengths are perfect and the sleeves are long enough for my arm length, which is always a struggle. I was blown away by my first shopping experience. So much so that I placed another order today. This is my fifth time ordering from Eshakti and I still rave about it. I bought two amazing pieces. A button down dress and a pair of cropped work pants.
The shorts lining in the flowy pants is comfortable and brilliant.
The extra inward facing buttons on the dress placket top is perfect and necessary to keep from gapping.
I adore the quality and colors of the fabric and workmanship. Not to mention, all dresses have pockets!

I order 2 items. I'm in Canada the package is from India (I discovered today). I ordered a dress and tunic both in medium 8-10 from their sizing chart approx 6 weeks ago. The dress was too tight in the bodice (now donated to charity) and the tunic was huge everywhere which made it impossible for me to know what size to order. I contacted customer service and after receiving a not so encouraging reply, I posted a very low review here with photos.

Shortly after my posting I received a refund and very good customer service via email. In addition, the company offered to remake me one of my items at no charge. I had the tunic remade. While the body fits great they made the arms (like forearm) very narrow. So I can wear it but not ideal. I will donate my original medium to charity as well.

As for quality I would rate it somewhat higher than Old Navy, but not as high as Banana Republic to give you a range.

As is the case with any on-line clothing purchase regardless of whether it's 'custom-made' for you or stock sizing, you run the risk of it not fitting. Having said that prior to any online clothing purchase, please consider where you are located, where your order is coming from, your shipping costs, duties, exchange rate, etc. and the return/refund policy prior to purchasing. Had I order my sizing incorrectly then I would not of expected a refund, however ordering the same size and finding such a contradiction had me wondering how I could of possibly ordered correctly.

While I appreciated their efforts I have a feeling my original review was the inspiration for them to correct my issue, but regardless they did rectify it and therefore I feel a 3-star average review is fair.

I realized what I thought was late that I needed to get a dress for my son's wedding. I have purchased several dresses from eShakti in the past and I would say that 80% fit and feel great (knit fabrics are always spot on). I had a recollection that they offered a "wedding" line - so I sat down at my computer and started browsing. I found a dress that I thought would work. It was long - but I could order it tea length - the sleeves were long so I shortened them to 3 quarter and the neckline - I switched to wide V. I got help updating my measurements and sent off the order and crossed my fingers - the wedding was a month away! Imagine my surprise when exactly one week later, I was signing for this tiny package that turned out to be this dress! Wow - first hurdle cleared. I tried it on. Second hurdle totally cleared! It fit perfectly! The final hurdle now had to wait another 3 weeks - did it look as good to others as it did to me? It sure did! I got so many compliments! And I was completely comfortable to boot! I carried the cards they put with the order to pass out to admirers in the pockets and gave them all away!

EShakti kept me informed during the entire order of its progress, and when there was a slight production delay, they immediately informed me. When my articles arrived, I was dismayed that the carrier had left the package in a plastic bag, out in the snow. But when I took the box out of the bag, I found that my shipment had been sealed in plastic before shipping! When I opened the box, there were my two pieces, carefully wrapped in tissue paper. Upon inspection, I found the knit fabric was soft and had a beautiful hand, the workmanship was outstanding and the fit was perfect. This was my first order, and I was so pleasantly surprised. I'll order again!

I have ordered several dresses from eShakti since seeing a gorgeous black dress on my hair stylist. They are well made, you can select either custom-fit to your measurements or standard size measurements. I ordered a dress late December, not even expecting it to arrive before Christmas, and it arrived right before Christmas! I couldn't believe it! My dress came with a little card and the names of the four people involved in sewing my dress. I was able to reach out and thank them. I will continue ordering from eShakti.

Their return service is not as customer friendly as appears on their website. I ordered and received 'stretch' tops with arm hem stitching that had no 'give' and cut into my arms. I requested and was granted a return immediately. However, I have waiting four weeks for a credit, and I have received no follow up from eShakti on my return. If you use this site, I do not recommend utilizing their return service... it is not as user-friendly as they state on the website.
