I don't understand TWO weeks to return an email. I don't understand customer service SO unhelpful that they can't be bothered to include tracking for a package due to be delivered that day. It took months to get my order. It was COMPLETELY WRONG. I made a return. Still no refund a MONTH later and no communication on why! A second order on hold for a remake that took two weeks longer than expected. The remake was worse than the original. I canceled the new order. No refund email. Just an acknowledgment of the cancellation. I'm now returning the remake and can't get a response.
I was devoted. I sung their praises.

My most recent experience with eShatki wasn't great, after giving them a try after after some bad experiences eight years ago... I had to deal with these things::
1. They didn't honor a coupon from Groupon I paid for, and didn't reply to my emails inquiring about it
2. They take between 3 and 5 weeks to reply to order detail emails, if they reply at all
3. The pants I paid to have customized were wildly wrong, by up to four inches in some areas, and I couldn't pull them on past my calves (I'm a size 4, so I don't know if they made them a size 0?)
4. I sent them back to return, have not been able to track the package with THEIR USPS label (for some reason they don't have it on their site after I print it out), they won't let me know if they received it, and they won't reply about the credit/refund. It's been about 7 weeks.
Between the lack of communication, not honoring their own coupons, bad customization, and not refunding returns or having any ability on their site to track the progress of returns, I can't give more than a two.
I am giving a two instead of a one because they do ship on time, and when I first shopped with them in 2015, I got a few nice dresses that were beautifully customized, but they use various factories for alterations (they don't let you pick) and after a run of bad pieces afterward and issues with communication, I gave up on them for almost 8 years. I made a mistake trying them out again, they haven't improved in the areas they need to do better, and I am out my money (at this point, I don't expect to get a refund for the badly tailored clothes or for the Groupon I bought). At the very least I would like to warn others.
I ordered a dress for my son's June wedding. I sent in my measurements, made my selection and payment and waited. And waited. By now I've forgotten just how many weeks (months?) it took before I finally received it, but I was a lot longer than I expected. I began to think I got scammed. I tried going online to get in touch with customer service but I couldn't log in to my account and I couldn't figure out how to reach anyone. I did send an email to the company and never had a response. I never received an email confirmation after I made the purchase. Then it finally arrived. It really is beautiful and I received so many compliments on what a fantastic dress it was for the event. I felt beautiful and the dress definitely felt special. I'd order from them again but I'd be sure to do it several months in advance.
Y'all, NEVER order from eshakti. I've had someone order from there in the past and have a great experience but I think they've been bought out bc Holy crap have they been a pain. I ordered back in March, had to cancel bc the dresses wouldn't come in time for my event as promised. Dresses hadn't even been put in production and it took 3 emails to get a response to cancel (first red flag). They told me they'd process my refund and then crickets. 10 emails later and I'm forced to file a dispute with affirm... Well, the order number eshakti gave affirm doesn't match any of my documentation so it gets denied. Sketchy. Meanwhile, I'm still emailing eshakti to try and resolve this with them. *crickets* Finally, I set up an automatic email to go out to them every day and responded to the one email response from them daily saying, "it's been (3,4,5, etc) days since I responded to your email with no response" and finally got notice of my refund today, 3 months later. It's validating to get that money back but, dang, it shouldn't be that hard to get my money back on something they never even shipped! I think they finally realized that I'm relentless and stubborn and that I'd get my money back one way or another.
I have been shopping from this company since about 2017. I really liked their dresses, especially my early purchases. Recently, however, not only has the quality of the dress gone down, but their business has gone down as well. But the most egregious issue happened just this year.
My most recent order was placed January 15th. I didn't get the item until February 20th. Not too bad considering that alterations were made to the dresses. However, not a single one fit the specifications I sent, so I submitted a "return authorization" on the same day, February 20th. I didn't hear back from them. I sent an email April 13th asking for help. They said someone would get back to me in 3-4 days. I had to email them again a week and a half later asking someone to respond. The person who finally answered said that their was a problem with their returns department, and that I should wait another week. I waited. Still nothing. I emailed again on May 12th and May 17th. Finally, on May 18th, someone processed my refund and said that the money would be back in my bank in 2-3 business days...
Well... here we are. It's June 20th, and I still don't have my money. Waiting 5 months to get a refund for poorly crafted clothes is... outrageous. I have emailed. I have called (no one answers when you call so you have to leave a message, but no one will call you back). Still no response.
I wanted to love this company with their beautiful pocketed dresses. I did love this company! But... I guess they can't be good forever. I have a great paper trail, though.
I can't give them any rating other than the lowest possible one. I never received what I ordered even when contacting customer service twice. Steer clear. The clothes look lovely but don't arrive. I need to dispute the charge on my credit card since they promptly charged me.

The cost for alteration just to take a few inches off the length of a dress seems a little too high to me. Other than that, I'm happy with eshakti and I recommend the site to people who comment on my clothes.
I am so very disappointed with the customer service with my last order. I've ordered in the past and was extremely happy but this last order was placed 4/30/23 and as of 6/6/23, there's been no replies to my 4 emails and 3 voicemails as to where my order is. I purchased these dresses for an event this last weekend and had to purchase dresses from somewhere else. There is no option other than the email (that no one is responding to) or the 800 number which you leave a voicemail (that doesn't get addressed) or it says they are experiencing technical difficulties. I am STILL waiting on a response or my items.
Terrible! This company is a scam. Avoid ordering from EShakti! I ordered a dress on 5/5 to wear on 6/17. The company stated that it would be delivered between 5/18 and 5/24. No problem. That's why I ordered early. It is now 6/3 and no movement on the order. I have contacted them 3 times (via email on 5/24 and 5/30 and via phone on 6/2). I received no responses to any of my communications beyond the "We'll get back to you!" automated emails. They never did. When I called, EShakti doesn't have anyone to talk to even during their business hours. They direct you to the website to fill out a form or to leave a voicemail. I left a voicemail during their business hours as I had already filled out the form twice with no response. I of course received no response to my voicemail either. The company's order tracker states that my order hasn't even been created yet, much less finished and delivered. I filed a chargeback with Paypal for this order and filed a complaint with the BBB.
The quality of these clothes is impressive! I love the styles available and that I can customize the clothes to suit my needs. I highly recommend eShakti!
Ordered a dress on 4/19/23, it is now 6/4/23. Never received the item, but card was charged. Have attempted to contact the company numerous times via phone, email and their customer help page. I only receive automated messages letting me know that they will get back to me. They have never gotten back to me, and I have yet to talk to an actual customer representative.
8 weeks later I finally received most of my order. The dresses were beautiful. The problem is it's extremely difficult to get any resolution since they can not answer emails in a timely matter (it took 3 weeks to get a reply), and their call center is useless as well.

I have ordered from eShakti regularly since about 2017. As a tall woman, it's great to be able to pay a small fee and get custom-length pants and shirt sleeves. I had not placed an order with them since 2022, and just placed another with them in early April 2023. I ordered 5 items, and the last (a pair of pants) had still not shipped by early May. I contacted the company multiple times on their website, and just now received an email from them three days ago saying the pants had shipped. I am convinced they lost track of the last item after they sent the first 4. Not pleased, and I nearly had to contact my bank to ask for a refund. I understand that custom clothing takes longer than off-the-shelf pieces, but two months? Disappointed and it will be a long, long time before they get the chance to have my business again.

Answer: I have been ordering the standard sizes and they are true to the measurements posted. No matter what you put in your height, so the length is always spot on.
Answer: Purchase a dress that is made with the knit fabric. It is flexible and much more loose feeling than the other fabrics. If you do decide to add inches to the measurement, I recommend only adding 1-2 inches AND only add those inches where you like it loser. For example, measure your arms true to size unless you like it a bit lose. Measure your waist true to size unless that is where you like it a bit lose. But honestly, I think you will find the knit dresses to be the best if you dislike tight fitting clothing! I also am not a fan and those are the dresses I wear most often! I have bought other styles, so I have other fabrics to compare it to.
