My experience with eshakti has been truly awful. I could understand long shipping times (over a month) and even delayed email responses in busy times, but the secret they don't tell you is that it's always busy times. They seem perpetually understaffed. And forget about ever getting a refund, especially if you need any assistance. They take months to reply, and in that time your return window will have closed. Awful, awful experience and I will never shop there again.

Ordered two very nice dresses and they were so well made and had such lovely fabric that it was an easy decision to order some more. Now I have order 5 dresses and one top and I can't look at your site too often because I always want to buy some more!

It is nearly impossible to get in touch with the company- no response to calls, emails, DMs. This was to get a refund of a product I had returned several months prior. No refund to my card so now I have a $55 credit I don't want. Plus poor fabric quality and delays in shipping. Shop elsewhere!

Once again, I found exactly what I was looking for at eShakti. I wanted some very elegant, understated pieces to go with a pile of vintage silk scarves from my grandmother. I also wanted a charming pink dress! I found everything I wanted and customized it. I'm very happy with my purchases!

I've had an extremely bad experience with my order. One dress was constructed in a way that rendered it impossible to wear. I chose the short sleeve option and it has dolman sleeves, which apparently means no side seams in the bodice, but since the option was offered I assumed the result would be a wearable product. I tried to submit a review on this dress to make others aware of the problem with the short sleeve, but it has not been published. I emailed them to ask how I should proceed since the dress was obviously not correctly made (see photo) and I shouldn't be charged for the return shipping. I waited almost a month to get a response, where they advised me to return it on my expense. But the return window had closed by then, so I can't even do that.

I also ordered a remake of two dresses. I have received only one remake, and it had the wrong neckline and also didn't fit. The other remake is yet to arrive and I haven't heard anything about it despite having emailed them to ask what's going on with it and when I can expect it to arrive. I placed the order in May. It's now July. When I placed the remake order I was instructed not to return the original dresses until the remake process was done, which has now landed me in a very odd position since I want to return them but I'm not allowed to.

I would order from eshakti again but not the custom made variety. I would also not rely on their customer service being service minded, since the replies I got are pretty standardised and haven't adressed the actual problem I have, nor replied to direct questions.

That being said, the quality of seams and fabric is great. The pockets really are amazing. I so hoped to be a returning customer since their concept is so good and had they only worked out their communication it would have had potential to be a favourite site for me.

Beautiful products, easy customization. I love this site. Such a bargain for the excellent quality.

I ordered 3 custom fit dresses on May1st, 2023 with an expected delivery on May 17th. May 31st I called and 2 dresses hadn't even been made at that time. They said there was a production problem. No one contacted me, I had to contact them. 2 weeks later the dresses arrived. All 3 dresses will have to be altered, as none of them fit well through the bodice. If I was to pull down the material and stand still they fit, but as I move the bodices ride up and blouse out. I'm not going to return them for re fitting as I'm afraid I won't get them back in time for the event I need them for. So I'll have to try and refit them my self.
Also I don't even know how I'd explain to eshaki what needs to be done to the bodices so they would fit. Seems a person needs to see them on me to know what to do. They had all my custom measurements to begin with. Construction and material look good but there was a ruffled seam I'll have to resew.

Excellent! If I don't like the way the dress looks on me eShakti makes it easy to do returns or give credit. I often have to contact them for various reasons and they usually respond within the 3-4 days they said they would. Once a dress was super delayed and they gave me a $25 gift card.

I find customizing and ordering to be very easy. The options and prices make the experience very pleasant

I've loved this company for almost a decade due to the ability to customize my clothes. As someone who likes to be more covered up, it's super useful to add a higher/more narrow neckline, lower the hem, and/or add more sleeves. The quality is usually excellent as well. The only reason I'm deducting a star is because my mother returned a dress and never got a refund. The dress itself, honestly, didn't look very nice in person which surprised me. Generally, everything looks great.

I have not found items this well made (overall) in many years. I appreciate the attention to detail, pockets, and lining. When I'm shopping, I think I miss out on some styles because the images don't load and I think I'm at the end of the list, but that's a website thing. Good customer service, good options.

What an absolute scam, I feel like an idiot for falling for fake reviews. It's all lies and obstruction. Orders take at least 6 weeks to deliver and remakes just as long. Cheap ugly fabrics that look nothing like the picture. Simplest styles are completely off in size and fit and do not come close to provided measurements. Remakes look nearly as grotesque and remade backwards (if something was too big, they make it bigger, if something was correct, they change it, etc). The clothes are not properly tailored (I make and alter my own patterns), instead they camouflage the lack of fit with belts, elastics, and gathers, but it all bulges and balloons in real life because the measurements don't match. Can't request a return because it takes 4-5 months to complete the remake process, and can't get a refund because it's customized clothing (the fit guarantee is a lie). Phone number for customer service goes to voicemail and emails take several weeks - also not helpful in any way, just more empty promises. Now I have to fight my credit company to get a refund since I can't get one from eShakti. Spent $300 to end up with 2 dresses and a top that look like something I could get at Walmart under $20. One of the items never came back remade because they ran out of fabric and they did not even bother to tell me. Avoid! Much cheaper and faster to buy from mainstream brands and get alterations from a tailor.

Dresses were delivered so long after the promised date they missed my extra planned safety window and the event they were purchased for. Zero communication despite repeated emails and calls until today, when they responded to my bad feedback survey saying I should be happy they shipped now (not kidding). Given others recent terrible experiences, not a company I would ever buy from again.

I love that I can customize the style and the size.
