I have purchased items from this company before, and many people told me how lovely I looked in them but this last time I ordered 4 blouses only 3 came and I was told the blouse would arrive later than I get an email saying that the pattern for the blouse was no longer available and that I would be refunded my money, after sending back the other 3 items and requesting a cash refund I get another email saying I would have my refund in 21 days the next email I get says they are refunding me $44 and giving me a gift card for $71 when I asked for a cash refund on my whole order. When I emailed them they replied back saying they do not refund on customer items that's funny because 1 of the items I returned wasn't even available anymore fir the so called free remake, my sister had a problem with as well when they didn't refund her the money they gave her a gift too. Her item she ordered in her size didn't fit so they did a custom fit and that still didn't work so they gave her a gift card, for what she couldn't use because the fit would never be right so she bought something for me because I had no problem with the fit until now.

Generally, the online shopping experience is very good. Just one point that I'd like to mention, Some designs are difficult to locate and some of the dupioni lines that I liked looks like theyve been eliminated. Dear Reader, Eshakti stands out as an online retailer for me because of its customization and customer focus. I am yet to receive my garments and so cannot comment about delivery times or fitting but up until now, I am most satisfied.
Do you like to gamble? If you have unlimited months to wait, unlimited time to call and email, then ship returns, you may eventually end up with a lovely, custom dress, $$$. Don't count on it though! You'll pay for custom and your first round will be unrecognizable- polar opposite of your body measurements- you'll send it back for remakes that still may or may not fit. You'll miss the important event or trip you ordered 2 months + in advance for. They'll almost never answer the phone, they'll take 3+ days to respond to any email, without actually helping. You'll wait indefinitely to get your money back. (Your blue envelope with return label and measuring tape? Empty. Then they'll claim UPS is the problem for return label printing, so you keep waiting, while they keep your money). You'll still need to go to a store and spend additional money in person to buy clothes that you needed for this current season, while you wait, so now you've paid twice. You can gamble...this may be stunning when done, but you'll have to save it for the following year because the current season will already be ending. Oh, you'll have to get the bizarre smell of dung out of every last garment, every time, no exceptions. Factor that dry cleaning bill in to your budget too and make time for extra showers even to try on. There are other custom vendors to try. For this hassle, I may just hire a dressmaker locally, instead. So many unacceptable problems with eshakti!

It was mostly great with a few exceptions: 1) after I selected Customize fabric and then picked a fabric I couldn't figure out how to turn off the customization. So if I wanted to reset the dress to its standard fabric I had to add the dress to my cart and then delete it and then find it again. 2) which leads me directly to my second issue … your search function is pretty bad. I tried searching on several terms I know were in the description and couldn't find it. And then I tried searching based on color and also couldn't find it. Thankfully I remembered my original search term and was able to find it that way but had to comb through a giant list of dresses as a result.
I returned almost $300 worth of clothes to them in December. They said they were processing it when I called January. Every time since I've called they've refused to take my call or call me back. They have my inventory and my money. Do not use them. Plus, their clothing fits very weirdly.

Answer: I have been ordering the standard sizes and they are true to the measurements posted. No matter what you put in your height, so the length is always spot on.
Answer: Purchase a dress that is made with the knit fabric. It is flexible and much more loose feeling than the other fabrics. If you do decide to add inches to the measurement, I recommend only adding 1-2 inches AND only add those inches where you like it loser. For example, measure your arms true to size unless you like it a bit lose. Measure your waist true to size unless that is where you like it a bit lose. But honestly, I think you will find the knit dresses to be the best if you dislike tight fitting clothing! I also am not a fan and those are the dresses I wear most often! I have bought other styles, so I have other fabrics to compare it to.

Even adding a deisgn I requested to Fabric Customisation. Winning! I have only had to return 1 dress and it was easy and I got a full refund.
