They told me I was paying $11.99 at 50% off and full price every month after that… they took $600 from my credit card. I can not afford this! Is there any way to get my money back?!?!?
Unfortunately if I could leave 0 stars I would! After reading on their terms and conditions that you would be issued a full refund if you cancelled within 14 days and did not use the app, I tried to cancel after 24 hours due to financial reasons. I was then charged £65 for "using" the services. I did not use the services at all, instead received an email from them, that they sent with a 'detailed psychological report' (a load of tosh if I'm honest). This is what they charged me for, and apparently this was me "using the app". Terms and conditions completely contradicts what they do. So many loop holes to get money out of you. Really wouldn't recommend. Feels horrible to have a multi million dollar company steal money from you.
I went through all of my matches within one hour of being on this app. The app suggested that I change my preferences, which is absolutely not an option after filling out the very detailed and time-consuming questionnaire that's what I spent my money on for them to find my perfect match not for me to have to change my preferences. I emailed eHarmony the day. I joined and asked them to refund my money based on the fact that there were no suitable matches, they refused worst site ever don't waste your money.
Worst dating site ever. First only had 7 people in my area. 7 whole people and im in illnois and missouri area. So had look everywhere. Any message i sent to a woman a day later they would send email telling me they deleted there profile. I didnt get one message and any i got back from sending they deleted them. Wouldnt give me a refund.people trust me stay away from this dating site. Dont listen so called positive reviews. If i could give it a minus rating I would. Please stay away. Its a scam
I signed up for basic to see matches. It kept pushing to fill out everything and even pick a plan and ask for card info. Whole time I'm assuming they allow you to pick matches and decide to not move forward. I had 2 matches decided not to move forward and said too bad you picked a premium plan and paid. I had no intention of mo if forward till I saw my matches as they advertise and they just didn't care. Total scam.
I joined eHarmony about three weeks ago. Every time I start chatting with someone the next day, they are blocked for violating the rules. I appreciate eHarmony watching out for all of us. However, perhaps they could find a more thorough way of screening these people. Now I am locked into an entire year of this app and there is no return on my money. Just be careful and don't be too hopeful on this site.
It's been a month in no hits. I don't believe there's any point in this. It was a waste of money and I'm sorry I did it. Beware beware beware
I did my best to give eHarmony a chance after they refused my request for a refund—twice. I completely opened my preferences. No eliminations. Welcome all. I have been on two other dating sites before with far better results. Lots of likes, a reasonable amount of dates, and some that lasted several dates.
Not true of this one. The deal breaker is that virtually all candidates are more than 150 miles from me. Too many have no profile photo, and no, I'm not going to ask for one because a man who can't or won't post a photo has an irredeemable flaw. Plus that's not my job. It's eHarmony's responsibility.
I've had very few profile views, and that's not because I'm a hag. On their competitors' sites I have attracted a lot of attention- and not eHarmony's inappropriate likes from 25 year olds. I won't even go into the poor quality of available matches.
This site has been a huge disappointment and a waste of my time as well as my money. I gave them an opportunity to show that I'm wrong and I'm not. EHarmony is tantamount to a scam in that it's so poorly executed and managed.
Today I asked again for them to cancel this disgrace of a membership and any remaining fees. My expectations are low, in line with my experience thus far.
Out of 11 mutual "likes" (in six months), 7 of those profiles were blocked by eharmony AFTER we messaged each other twice... It just says the person was blocked for violating their terms (nothing offensive was said to me). So, eharmony is infected / infested with a high amount of scammers/fake/AI type profiles that they call "members"... for their statistical data. They do a bait and switch to make you think you are actually communicating with valid people/profiles. I took a screenshot below showing how eharmony will automatically block people after they let you message back and forth two or three times. I would consider myself attractive but live in a rural area. Nonetheless, I had set my filters to match up with people in other states. But, most of these people would email me similar sentences - so it was strange - eharmony allows this - and then they block the person afterward, to make it look like they're 'on it' with getting rid of scammers - yet those people remain on their site. Very fraudulent - I hope they get sued for the highly fraudulent / unethical behavior.
Paid $370 for 6mo premium sub on 10/28/24. Members get 15 Match Unlock credit per month. Unaware that I need to screen for "fake" members, I used around 11 credits on fake accounts and 3 on real people, in less than two weeks I used all but 1 credit. And once that is gone (probably going to be wasted on another fake) The service will be useless until my monthly credits reset, almost three weeks from now. Around 66% of the accounts that I have interacted with are fake. There is a huge issue in the screening/quality control process for new members. For example, 60 members within 30 miles. 40 are fake, leaves 20 real. You match with 5. If I knew this I would rather talk to 5 people at the superrmarket and save almost $400 dollars. I tried to contact eharmony about my concerns, only to have some automated system tell me that I can't cancel my subscription and to read the terms and condition. I also tried to contact them via email to regain some of my lost credits and never heard back. I am not looking for a refund, I would rather have it fixed or my credits returned if the fake profile is confirmed and blocked as fake. Also, I want to warn future members before they make the same mistake. Eharmony won't address my complaint so I am posting it here.
I get one like and after message for a day, realized he was a scammer. I tried to report it and left him on my site so they could look into it. I got crickets.
I am seriously considering contacting State attorney general.
What's even worse than their fake profiles and not knowing whether someone's account is still active… It's the completely false advertising to suck you in. They tell you, you can browse for free and yet all of the pictures are blurred out. When you do join all of a sudden the same people are not available as the ones that were blurred out before you joined.
I was looking for love in my future so I posted a profile on E.Harmony I was happy friendly kind to everyone I sent message too on E.harmony I met some men made some friends and everything was great then one day I could not use my profile, so I asked my friends on E.harmony if they saw anything wrong with my profile they told me my profile and photo had a big red X on my face and that my profile said I was a fake scammer who was a thief and lier that my profile was nothing g but a fake I was so embarrassed I cried I know I am a good Christin lady I know I would never do or say anything wrong to anyone on E.harmony or would I ever think of lying or scamming anyone on E.harmony this is nothing fake about me I'm only looking for love and happiness with a good man instead E.Harmony sent a message to all of my friends on E.Harmony that said I was a scammer to all my friends, another problem is there is not any phone number for E.harmony I am guessing that no-one speaks English at E.Harmony is one reason why no-one can talk to them for any reason they can not be contracted they just do not care about anyone on there dating site for any reason it's sad, they change a lot of money, but would never talk with you over the phone it's a terrible dating site that seemed to want to make sure I had a terrible experience.
Please do not let this happen to you.
If I can give zero star I will. I signed for 3 months they charge for the whole years! Then I tried to dispute was declined then they blocked your account where you already paid and charged for whole year! A month later aHarmony send me another bill for whole year again! WHAT?
I only used a few months where I barely go to online due the quality and limited amount of members they have.
Is this for real?
Does eharmony still open by scamming people?
Since some people just give up with their bullish
Why this site still around and running with that many complaints?
Why is it legal scamming people?
They don't have real customers service where you can speak too. That (800) number not even work.
It was awful, no customer service "live person" to see what happened to my account. Spent hours trying to figure out what went wrong and got a note that something didn't match up on my profile? Again, no customer service to work things out. Thank you for reading.
YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT SO BE CAREFUL ABOUT SIGNING UP. The site is full of scammers. Like, if you think she's cute, she's not real. Seriously.
This company is the worth! All they care if about money! They don't have enough people for dating and most of then have no pictures. Customer service all they care is about money, they will go after you for 71.00 and other people have experience collection, you will never talk to a person is all auto emails collecting. Stay away read all the reviews from different places not just eharmony reviews! You will be running! Don't do it! Read read all the reviews do your homework! I did not!
Outrageous rates that absolutely do not correspond with quality. The free mobile dating apps are a thousand times more likely to find you good matches. A lot of 60+ year olds posing as much younger people. Your personality profile, the thing the company waves around as its best differentiator, has no apparent bearing on the matches you're shown. They lock you into a long membership and immediately threaten action if you're late on a payment. Maybe they used to be a real service, but now they are just running on their previous steam to squeeze as much money as they can from the people left who don't know any better. I had this at the same time as all the popular free dating apps. Where I would get tons of good local matches, same in age and interests on the free apps, eharmony would show me people hundreds of miles away, terrible compatibility, and clearly much much older than they were claiming to be. If you're even moderately normal, this is not the service for you, trust me.
EHarmony takes the silver medal from me. Brilliant dating site, just behind WeJustFit.com (my gold winner) and that's impressive believe me, take it from a guy who has tried at least ten sites this year alone!
I am 71 years old and met my wife when I was 65. It took almost two years to find each other but worth the effort. We're a perfect match and we've never been happier. While I would agree that some of my matches left me wondering what criteria were used; all of these sites rely on user honesty. I'm sure that lack of self esteem and loneliness can contribute to misrepresentation. Regardless of site, be patient; the person who is looking for you may be tomorrow's match. Suggestion: If possible, expand your geographic range. What might seem impossible in theory may become very possible for the right person; I'm from Maryland and my wife was from Ohio. Update: sixth anniversary; never been happier
Answer: EHarmony is over rated and it's a lot of mumbo jumbo... If you're going to pay for a site match.com is set up much better and for a free site plenty of fish is really a nice site... BillyPrewitt.com
Answer: No. They won't refund you.
Answer: On your profile where you get asked questions like whats your fav movie and so on. Replace any answers you have already left with offensive language which in turn will violate their terms and conditions and they will have no option than to close your account. As for getting a refund good luck.
Answer: I called my credit card company because I cancelled within the three day grace period. Eharmony tried to say I had waited too long and therefore would be no refund. My credit card company disputed the charges, my account was credited and I was just notified that the dispute has been approved. No more eharmony charges. Hoe things work out for you.
Answer: You can't opt out. You are locked for the whole duration of your subscription even if u dont use it anymore they will charge ur visa regardless untill ur contract expires. I have to spend 11 more months to a site I cant use coz Im a transgender woman and no man in there wants me.
Answer: Well I have but I No longer on those sites anymore because they are scammers of course and I was on match truly.com and I deactivate my account off there as well but however sometimes I register on that website match truly.com even though I'm No longer a member on that website anymore because I still see the same lady Anna I'd Number is 60780729 and she's still online right now just like any other ladies you see on that site so I go on there just to waste their time and use abusive behavior against them to teach them a lesson and I don't pay money for that so that's why if you Noticed just pay close attention to the lady Anna on match truly.com and you will see her on wishdates.com and many other dating sites so I'm just tracking these websites down and you can see the ladies are Not real and can you tell me what Normal person would stay online 24 hours a day and seven days a week that's Not a Normal person that's a Networker and they like to make all kinds of excuses for themselves so don't listen to Nonsense about what they say because if you keep talking to these fake ladies they will Robb you out of your money so pretty much wasting your time because you are Not getting anywhere but a dead end and believe me I know what I'm talking about because I was on that website for two years and believe me they are phony and so is the customer support they are fake and they think they are very intelligent human beings and they think they can manipulate people so just watch yourself and be careful because I'm still seeing the same ladies on that website today from two years ago they are Not real and they are Not looking for anyone
