Outrageous rates that absolutely do not correspond with quality. The free mobile dating apps are a thousand times more likely to find you good matches. A lot of 60+ year olds posing as much younger people. Your personality profile, the thing the company waves around as its best differentiator, has no apparent bearing on the matches you're shown. They lock you into a long membership and immediately threaten action if you're late on a payment. Maybe they used to be a real service, but now they are just running on their previous steam to squeeze as much money as they can from the people left who don't know any better. I had this at the same time as all the popular free dating apps. Where I would get tons of good local matches, same in age and interests on the free apps, eharmony would show me people hundreds of miles away, terrible compatibility, and clearly much much older than they were claiming to be. If you're even moderately normal, this is not the service for you, trust me.

To those who are looking to join e Harmony, DO NOT waste your money. I paid $400 for one year Subscriptions because monthly is much more expensive. I wish they have cancellation policy even with a little fee I was going to be fine with it. I should have done more research before I paid. "You got what you pay for" doesn't apply on this site. Because of the high fee they probably don't have that many clients. It's ridiculous. I hardly have anyone send me the messages or trying to connect with me. I am not desperate, but no one, Come-on! After doing more digging, I saw lots of bad reviews on eHarmony. It's too late now. I wish they are out of business. I am beyond pissed for paying that money. I just want my money back. Other dating sites charged very little fee, I get over 500 likes and hundreds of messages in a few days. I am beyond pissed for paying that $400.

I've never run into a scammer or a fake account. The extra questions are fun. Perhaps I'm just picky, and I feel bad passing over the majority of my few matches. A lot of them live too far away. Though I think some are being too harsh in their reviews, matching is tricky, the company can't force people to date you if they're not interested, and you can only be matched with who is there, not just anyone in the world...

That said, most of my matches were too old for me (even though I put a preference on age) and, sorry to be so mean, but looked like they had not touched a hairbrush or razor and live in their parent's basement.

I signed up half-heartedly at a friend's request, and to my complete surprise, 'met' someone who is incredibly compatible the very next day. Even if it doesn't work out in the end with him, at least I know that there are guys out there that have the qualities I want. Also your personality book is wonderful and was completely accurate. Thank you. I've already learned a lot about myself and my own relationship weaknesses from joining your site.

Eharmony advertised deal for $12.95/month for first 3 months and then normal $25.90/month. However, they charged me $139 and then wanted more. I disputed it but they put it in collection and my final damage ended up being over $550. Absolute false advertising and bait-and-switch.

I have now been informed that promising a customer something in exchange for money and not delivering on that service or product can be considered felony theft through fraud. I will contact the attorney general in their home state to see what it takes to get an investigation/arraignment/indictment/ and pressing of charges started. This 'company' must be brought to justice before more thousands of innocents are misled and suckered.

If you want to throw your money away….Don't sign a contract. They will not let you out and you lose money….This is worse than any free site. I had a six-month subscription to eHarmony, and in that time received about 20 matches, not one responded and the ones that did were scammers. I thought by the reputation eHarmony has and the price you pay would be a great site to join. I reported to eHarmony and all I get is a response that they removed the profile and not to communicate with member. I learned not to trust anyone on this site. Do not join. There is no screening at the eHarmony site that they say they do.

I have been checking the site for a few months and there are absolutely no responses! I attempted to cancel within 24 hours but they refused me! So I am paying for several months for absolutely nothing!

I tried a trial over a year ago and just got charged $90 without warning... Apparently the trial I did automatically signs me up for new memberships. Customer care doesn't care and is ignorant to my complaint, can't talk to a human neither. Boooooo!

I subscribed to eharmony. The site is not a good dating site. The bank account I gave eharmony for billing was subsequently closed. When the renewal was not paid, eharmony cut off the service to me. Then, eharmony turned me over to collections for almost a thousand dollars they say i owe under the contract even though they cut off the service. What a scam.

They make it as hard as they can to communicate about your account with them, but have no problem holding YOU accountable (no refunds) for automatic renewals! Phone numbers they give you to communicate with them are bogus and won't even go through when you call to talk to them. DO NOT give them your credit card number!

I cancelled the membership and they refused. They continue to try to charge my credit card. My bank has blocked them.
I am formulating a class action suit. Anyone want to hop on board?

Dating services are a lot better. Also in Eharmony you can view only your matches,you can't see anyone else.

Hindsight is 20/20. Right? I wish I would have checked reviews before wasting my money. It seems all of the match profiles are made up. Please don't waste your time and money.
And customer service does not exist. They do not provide any contact information.
