I bought a Targus laptop bag and after one month the handles came a part. Souq customer service replied that they can not return a product after 14 days!
Even if it is a defected product?! Really!
Their main target now is to close the ticket and i am keeping opening it.

Really awful customer service..

Fake warranty
August 8, 2018

I bought a 75" TV over a promotion from Souq, the item was under one year warranty, after turning on the TV I have found a blue thin vertical like along the screen, which I have immediately reported to souq, customer care center!
The team advise me that I have to return the item and get a refund, but wait!
1- the item is under warranty
2- Souq has no replacement policy? Who knows the policy?
3- I bought the item on promotion which is no longer valid,
All of the above means I WILL LOSE!
However as they agreed to fix or replace the TV so I return the same and now for over more than 40 days and 40 frustrating follow-ups they called to say you will get a refund!
I have asked them for a proof that they have gone through the maintenance procedure but no response,
Such a poor quality customer service and lake of transparency in addition to the fake warranty, I will never buy from souq again

Worst
July 18, 2018

I have ordered some items on 12th july and amount has been deducted from my credit card. I was told to be delivered by 15th july. There was no response, i called them on 17th july. Then they are informing me the order has been cancelled or it was not complete, so they will refund the amount. Such an irresponsible attitude. After 5 days i called them, or else i would have been waiting for my shipment. They told me only after I inquired about the shipment. I asked the call center agent to transfer the call to higher official. She told me they will contact me with ion 2 hours... no body contacted me... It was really a bad experience. Till now my cash has not been credited

I bought two items one was missing an item and one was a fake open item used and I complained and ask for refund one they gave me a refund but cant use the money and one they didn't even help or call me about it

BOught a Smart watch for my daughter, came as faulty and no proper warranty card, made a return request, accepted and product will be picked up in 2 working days, 13 days have passed. Recived 6-7 messages pick up arrange for today and guess what no one shows up.
Made repeated calls and spoke with multiple people in customer service and supervisor thrice advised delivery arranged and out to be picked up today and guess no one shows up.
There policy of free return and pick up is a fake and misleading...

I never get any normal service. I ALWAYS have to call them after 3 - 5 days noticing that nothing happens to my order from the beginning. Every time I ordered, I had to call and check whether they even picked it up. Then it takes them three days to do that, at least. NONE of my items have ever been picked up on time, I had to call asking what is with my order before they realised they had to call the seller and then they tell me: "Item will be picked up from the seller." So I have to call them to remind them to pick it up, literally. And the calls are not free, of course. On my first order I spent AED 100 calling both them and Aramex, with both companies blaming the delay (almost two weeks delay for local delivery!) on each other. This partnership with Aramex makes it twice as bad. I usually end up picking up the item on my own although I had to pay for delivery.

I had placed an order for police watch which was delivered but damaged. I had requested for a pick up to return the product and was told pick up would be done on the 20th May. It has been three days no one bothered to communicate about the pick up.

It went downhill
April 24, 2015

I wrote previous review about souq.com that was mostly positive but after multiple negative experiences with them by me and most of my family I decided to warn people here. Souq does not provide protection for the consumers. We ordered many lipsticks from different sellers and go shipped random products with different colors than what we ordered. Souq refuses to give you a cash refund even though they say they do in the website. Their reply is extremely late and they DO NOT LET YOU WRITE A NEGATIVE REVIEW on the sellers page... only the positive reviews are posted. We decided to decrease our dealing with this website until they learn to respect the right of the consumers

Very bad after service

I bought a printer that was miss-leading advertisied as wireless. I return it but could not get a refund until after 4 months now. Dont believe their return policy.
If you open the product, you cant not return it.

SOUQ SOLD FAKE PRODUCTS!

First time I bought one TV. "Philips" as advertised. But, Upon purchase, I understood that the same is fake. Moreover, the seal was opened. Having very old look. The item returned upon my complaint and they promised it will never happen again.

Trusting them ordered one more item "NIKAI" considering that the product itself is cheap and therefore, least probability of counterfeited item.

Upon receipt of the second item, it is confirmed that the same is also a fake product and was an old one rather than their promise.

From my experience, I never recommend anybody to buy anything from Souq.

FAKE PRODUCTS!

SOUQ is both GOOD and BAD

Well, I have been in Dubai from last 5 years now and have purchased from Souq.com many times. My experience has been from Very good to Bad. Good only if you buy from genuine sellers (prefer only "fulfilled by souq.com") otherwise there is no guarantee the product will be genuine. I received fake JBL speaker and had to return it. But the Bad starts here - the customer care is very lousy. No proper coordination amongst the different departments. They wont allow you to put a review for the bad seller so other buyers are warned not to buy from this seller. This is really not done. They would just cancel and refund, which I guess is not sufficient. Now then why to buy from Souq? Is the question - definitely the PRICE. So the suggestion is to buy only from "fulfilled by souq.com" sellers or from the Brand stores (Souq.com has many now). For perfumes on Souq.com, I would strictly advise to buy only from "dod_uae" seller which is a genuine and guaranteed by Souq.com.

I bought what souq.com UAE claimed a new iphone, and after 3 monthes i had to fix it at Apple Store but ofcourse apple store refused to because the phone has been opened before and some parts inside are missing! And i've never tried to open the body ever! So that they sold a used and damaged phone. And when i called Souq.com they said "its not our probleme, you could have return it back only in 15 days" and they never said no its not used! They were okay with me telling them "I bought a new phone and turned out that its used"!

Bad Experience

I went through the skirt section of the souq.com website and came upon these beautyful shiffon skirts. On the ad it says LONG MAXI skirts, so I ordered a black and a aqua color. First the black one arrived, I paid for it thinking it was perfect. It was supposed to be large as I am a large. When I opened the packet, the skirt was shorter than short, just covering my butt, it was so small, I could not even get it on. I just think souq's pictures in clothing is very deceiving and they don't pick the correct sizes. I will NEVER order from souq again. They are a very disappointing company to deal with.

Friend bought a Tissot watch which turned out to be a fake. Dude paid 1500 dhs for what he thought was a good deal but got a 50 dhs chinese fake instead. The good or bad thing is that he has money so decided not to make a big deal out of it. But come on. The website sells a Karame watches and charges as reall. So be extremely careful when shopping with them but better go to a mall where you may overpay but be sure staff is real

I am surprised how Amazon, the most successful online shopping in the world to be a partner with Souq.com? Does Amazon have minimum qualifications standards to apply before they partner with such companies?

Impossible to return a product
Wrong product advertizing
Wrong or poor product description
Inaccurate deliveries
They refuse to publish poor reviews for any product and send a feedback that your review is a complaint not a review. I wrote a poor review about what is assumed a brand Black & Decker sprinkler which was a poor quality and broke after the first use and they replied this is a complaint not a review; how on earth can you let buyers be aware of a bad product? Same has occurred with other products. Obviously
They do partner with their merchandise sellers rather than their customer!

I had my trust in them for being an Amazon company but in fact they are a disgrace to Amazon; NO MORE BUSINESS!
