DISASTER experience
January 6, 2018

1st I order an airpods and iphone on 27 november, then as ussual they send a message regards of time of delivery, its take little bit longer than before. They send me COD message on Thrusday Dec 7, but they didnt came, ok fine,
Then they came on saturday on my address(working place) i keep waiting and waiting for the currier calls, even i finished my duty there i went back home they still didnt came, finally the currier give me a calls 6pm. And i ask him to deliver the item to my home address (second address in my souq account) but he said he cant come couse its too far and if you want the item i will come tommorow again thats is his words ( what a delivery experience from QEXPRESS) ok fine couse i so badly need the item i took taxi to my working place (another extra fee COD) when i reached to my working plave he is not there and i keep calling him, 30 minute i need to wait him, i was so pissed off that time,, i just want my item, finally i got the item airpods and iphone 7
The next day i realize my airpods is defective oh $#*! i got $#*!,, then i check with my friends the one who has airpods too, he said you gotta $#*! this thing this airpods is totally not working,
Suddenly i plannong to return and get the refund both item i return it couse i dont want to get defective on my iphone,
And the disaster start up i need to waiting almost 13 days to currier collect my item imagine 13 days you stay with something that you dont wanna use it,
Finally the currier come(same story, i was on my off day, so im not available on my delivery address i ask the currier to come to my secondary address which is my home address but again he refuged to come and he will take the next day if I want WTF is going on here, again i need to take taxi to meets this QEXPRESS Currier BOSS,) on 23rd december 2017, and 31st december all my item delivered to the seller,
They checking and im keep waiting, untill today is 7 January 2018 i still didnt get my refund when i call them they said i the airpods was truelly defetcive and they will give the refund but for the iphone couse they didnt found any defective on that they will reverse back that $#*! to me, call centre said '' you cant do this sir, is not like that how we return and refund policy is " WTF... im done with words spending thausand dirham stuck in this site, for 2 months, im done

Fraud, Fakes and poor delivery all in one site

I have had extreme problems with Souq.com
Two items ordered in the White Saturday Sale were taken away from me one order was outright cancelled and the other order was claimed to be returned. In both cases the item was available at the site for a higher price and the souq.com representative told me to purchase it again at the higher price. Such behavior is against the law in Saudi Arabia.
The souq.com delivery drivers are rude to customers. They deliver orders without signature or ID. They pretend not to be able to find locations and they cancel orders that they dont feel like delivering.
Souq.com sells designer goods as new when they are actually used.

I live in the Khuzama area of Al Khobar.
The Souq.com drivers try EVERYTHING NOT TO DELIVER.
I am an old lady and I am home all day with my phone beside me.
With the first order #*******007 the driver came and just dropped off the boxes in the street and left without taking any signature from me or asking for any ID. You can see that there was no signature taken if you compare to the next order #*******551
For that next order #*******551 the driver tried hard not to deliver the order. First he demanded that I send my location on What's App. When I wouldn't do that he kept pretending to get lost. I told him clearly - Please come off the highway at Al Khuzama and make the right at Bank Al Ahli (NCB). Go straight down the street and pass Tamimi Safeway and Al Dawa Pharmacy and keep going straight through the intersection. See the Bokhari Restaurant on the left side and make a left at that street. That is Abu Ishaq Ibn Baks Street. Please call me at that time and I will come out to the street and wait for you.
He went to the wrong location and I had to call him to give him directions again. Then finally he made me wait in the street for 30 minutes. I waited. Finally he arrived and I was pitifully grateful that he showed up.
Now my latest order has been cancelled, supposedly because I rejected the order. But that is not true. I was not contacted to accept the delivery. That order is #*******914. It's simply a scam not to deliver the order. I asked for the order to be sent back to me but I was told that was not possible. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that was not possible. I asked for my funds to be refunded to my credit card and was told that was not possible.
The order that was not delivered (#*******914) and that was taken away from me was ordered during the White Saturday Sale. I was also cheated out of other items that I purchased during the White Saturday sale. I ordered a Sony Television during the White Saturday sale on order number #*******379. That TV order was cancelled by Souq.com with the claim that the television was not available. But no surprise. The same day that the order was cancelled by Souq.com I was able to order the exact same television but for SR285 more on order #*******189. So the "Sale" was just a scam.
Additionally, I have written to the brand holder of Calvin Klein Cosmetics to advise them that the CK BE perfume ordered in order #*******703 came without its outer plastic wrapping and is most likely either used or fake although it was sold as new and I paid for a new item. They should prevent souq.com company from selling their products.
I have never used Souq.com before the White Saturday sale but it has been an education. I will be putting a complaint to the Saudi Ministry of Commerce for fraud in selling.

Most frustrating, arrogant and chaotic site to register as seller

Although you would like the 'seller' platform and tools after the initial registration as seller with them, it stops there.

You receive email after few days which asks you to upload trade license even if you are registered as 'individual seller', the same email asks you to upload the Emirates ID card although you already have uploaded it in initial registration. Congratulations the confustion and stupidity started.

Try to list any item, you will get it automatically rejected by their server once it runs during their work hours, they just attach to that 'copy paste' of rules of enlisting items without specifying which was things wrong with your particular listing, submit-resubmit guess what's wrong then enlist again try try try write to their contect department wait for answers rejection after rejection after rejection you just give up and leave. A repeated story with most of sellers. If ebay and amazon opens in UAE and middle east with their same simple efficient clear professional policies, those idiots will close their seller section (at least) within weeks. I hope so soon that would happen.

One of the stupid things also, try to link to bank account, it asks once again for upload Emirates ID card (third incident within the portal, three occasions you upload the Emirates ID!) and guess what to give the stupidity extra twist, in that menu they allow only one file upload unlike in initial registration, so if you upload only front side, you get message after days that link to bank rejected (they just love rejections everywhere in their process and site) because you only uploaded front side of the card! Check with their call center they would say you should scan both into one file and upload it (they enjoy confusions and rejections and frustration of customer).

They say allow individual persons to sell without trade license, BIG LIARS try to sell anything they will reject reject reject no reason no reason no reason then they would say, these items require trade license. Be honest and say from beginning yoy don't want individual sellers because it is practically not possible under this stupid vague policy of you.

One more nice careless gesture is that the call center of sellers is not published anywhere in their site, so you should enjoy yourself one more call in the beginning as seller, call their normal call center (for buyers) explain issue then the agent there will say pls call this number (they give another number) we are not dealing with sellers! Total carelessness from their management and eventually they will loose this important sector of business to competitors hopefully amazon & ebay

Typical middle eastern management without real competition (I am UAE national and middle eastern by the way) but I have to say that

Bad product and Service

My name is Daniel George. I have been a persistent buyer and customer of souq.com for quite a while now, but on the 31st of March i made an order for 2 tablet cases, and fortunately i received them the next day along with other items i ordered. But to my utmost amazement, when i opened the tablet cover, it was next to "RUBBISH" Zibalaa like the Arabic word. It was meant to be a universal cover with 3 strands to hold the tabs, but believe me, i received the 2 cases with the strands which were supposed to be firm, so weak and even falling off, to crown it all up, the tab itself was from an old stock and was already torn apart, i mean the 2. So i called them to get the items back, which they came back to receive it in a flash of light, And i was told by the agent tht my money will be remitted back into my account, Can you believe that the same day i got my account remitted with 150le as "PENDING" and till this day i speak 13/04/2016... it's still on pending, i have called the Cx care center more than 10 times, even wasting my own call credit calling them, but they never take any reasonable step, rather they claim to create a ticket and say they will call back in 48hrs, yesterday 12/04/2016. I called the Cx care center again and a very good lady tried to help me out, she was understanding and called the seller, Imagine the seller lied that i cut the item myself, please viewers, tell me, is it possible to spend your money buying somthing you so much need and cutting it. Well now as i speak, the seller with the name (sayedmobarak) on SOUQ.COM.is not even returning my item or having it changed, and also holding on to my Money. Is this fair? Well souq claims that he is just a seller with them and they are taking No action. I rest my case and leave all to Allah.
