I have recently opened my eBay seller account and completed few transactions successfully. I always shipped the item within one business day to provide better customer experience. Yesterday after I shipped out a sold item and provide the eBay the tracking number, I received an email from eBay that my account is PERMANENTLY suspended and the money the buyer paid is withheld by eBay until the account is REINSTATED. I contacted eBay customer service, tied to find out if there is any problem or complaint from the buyers that led to suspension. The guy checked and told he found nothing. He said it is just eBay's decisions not to do business with me. He is refrained to provide detail to me in the fear that I might use the information against eBay in the lawsuit. What is wrong with eBay!
I bought a screen protector from an ebay seller called wilko-tech1, I received it, it was flimsy and I believe it was expensive considering it is a thin piece of plastic. I initially gave feedback that stated that it was expensive for what it is. I noted that it had been shipped quickly and seller communication was good.
The seller proceeded to send me a series of messages querying why I believed £1.99 was expensive, the seller was rude and sarcastic and I told him not to contact me again. He proceeded to send more messages and exploited the ebay seller loophole after I edited the communication section to reflect the nature of his messages.
I had told the seller not to contact me after he did this he then sent an abusive message to me. I have reported it to ebay but they are probably unlikely to take action against the seller.
I've attached images of the item that he believes is worth £1.99. Please note I never asked for a refund but I had to order a better quality more expensive item.

I had wrote a review about eBay and how they handled my account poorly. I got a hold of someone else who corrected everything and returned my overcharged amount to me! Now that is good customer service Too bad I had to talk to a lot of people to get it done...
I was told different answers to the same question by eBay reps. In the end i will receive fake shoes for full price. After I was assured that I could return. I let eBay know buyer skipped Authenticator and was told they would research the seller all lies and now im stuck with cheap knock offs I will only be shopping at goat from here on out
I sell on Etsy and Facebook and have for years with no issues receiving sale funds. Ebay on the other hand likes to hold funds. I sold an amp on Ebay, $1065 sale. I packaged and shipped the amp which the buyer received and even gave me a 5 star review for packing, description, etc. Ebay still holding my funds for another 3 weeks. Ebay is NOT for new sellers. If you have not sold there before, DONT BOTHER.
Selling on ebay has been the worse experience I've ever had selling on an app. I had my account for 8 years I only made purchases mostly aside from selling three items. I decided to try listing and selling on ebay again six years after selling my last items. Initially it was great. I sold 5 items and received great feedback in addition to the already over 140 positive feedback on my account. I received an email stating that my account had been banned indefinitely no specific reason was given in fact the email stated ebay wouldn't disclose the reason. So my account was permanently restricted with $1000 from my cleared sales that I cant remove. Don't make the mistake of selling on this platform they rob you and then treat you like crap when you reach out for help. I'm not aware of any policy I've violated I adhered to ebay rules so I have no idea why my account was banned hopefully I can get some assistance from The BBB I filed a complaint.
Ebay Rule # 1 If A Seller Sells You An Item Outside Of Ebay Would Be Breaking Ebays Rule Right Wrong I Reported A Seller That Sold Me An Item Outside Of Ebay And Seller Never Sent Item I Reported It TO Ebay Showing Them All The Proof Not To Mention I Also Have The Seller Agreeing To Send Me The Item Twice On Ebay Messenger I Showed Them Proof Also From PayPal Payment To Seller That I Made And Ebay Did Nothing So Now I'm Working With A Company Who Doesn't Care Either.
I called ebay to establish my account to order my Christmas gifts and I call customer service and find out I'm banned for unknown reasons from 2018 and hung up on me. I'm like omg, like I'm a freaking terrorist or something. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SUSPECT BEHAVIOR TO ME. ILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!
Bad customer service. No help.
Out of pocket!
Bye eBay...only been 15 years!
Go to amazon as there customer service is outstanding and prompt x
EBay are not paying sellers account beware.
We have had our account suspended because of euro checks.we sent all documentation in passport and business utilyu bill but they have not processed.
They were happy to sell a ring(expensive one) of ours and charge monthly fees but will not pay out
I purchased a TCG card, about 100 bucks. About a week later it was marked as shipped to mailbox, nothing I'm there however. I never looked for something so hard in my life, in and around and even nearby mail trash. I put in request for item, to show that I don't need a refund as long as I get item. Seller told me to look harder, already had, so I asked for refund. Ebay closed the case for no refund, it was somehow my fault that it never got to me. Buyers need to not only pay for the items but make the delivery themselves it seems. Ebay blames the buyers when item has tracking but it never reaches mailbox, closes in favor of seller. I was out 100 bucks, only gained stress and a loss of time trying to resolve.
I read a similar review recently about how someone got an incorrect item but since it was marked "delivered " the case was closed and buyer was left with the loss.
I don't know why this site shows that Ebay has good customer service. They do not, not in the slightest. You can't even get in contact with someone, I tried several times. It was just bots, that keep sending me to."Money Back Gurantee" which doesn't guarantee anything except stress and wasted money in these types of scenarios.
I don't know how I'll he able to confidently purchase from Ebay ever again. Something to consider for anyone that reads this. Ebay won't have your back if you never receive item but tracking says it arrived.
EBay does not protect the seller. I am sure you all have seen this before. Even if you say "no refunds", eBay will require you to give a refund. Their favorite line I have seen is that there is no telling how the item was shipped out. A Limited Edition item was opened by the buyer who claimed it was defective because of "severe" paint damage. The image sent didn't back the claim but eBay does not care. EBay's concern is that they don't want the buyer to go to their bank and claim they didn't do the transaction. (How do I know well because their customer service rep stated it. Then tried to tell me that I should have requested the seller pay for the refund label.) It is better to have the seller bite the bullet than them. Does not matter that the item cannot be resold. Does not matter that the seller had the item for more than 2 weeks. What matters is that they don't want to lose funds. They say they protect the seller by having them offer the refund and then they can open a claim that the seller lied. (Sellers can only do this after they have gotten their time back, not before. Reporting a bad buyer happens only after you got your item back.) Again, remember eBay said they don't know how the item was shipped. It won't end in your favor. The best thing to do is not sell things that are collectors on eBay or be very picky with who you sell to. EBay does not care if the seller has high ratings and the buyer has close to none. What matters to them is ensuring they keep money in their pockets. So do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Sell items on your own, like Facebook Market or anything but eBay.
The company customer service is about a awful as any service can be. Hard to access and totally ineffective.
I have been trying for months to be exempt from sales tax on my plant purchases as I am a reseller. Not one single response have I ever received from contacting them. The service team should be fired along with the executive director for allowing such.

I have been buying hundreds of dollars off ebay every month, but this seller diamondgirls*inc is the reason I wl never buy from ebay.com ever again, I bought my therapy dog a parka and snow pants from diamondgirls*inc only to find out they won't send me a return label to send back the wrong size even though according their size chart an extrasolar should fit my dog oy to find out we can't even get the parka or snow pants on him he needed a medium size now because of this seller I can't afford to buy my dog the correct size, I am a disabled veteran that lives on a fixed income, the seller was very rude I explained I hadn't even taken the tags off but this seller being as rude as they are offered no help for me.
I attempted to sell a $1200 synthesizer via auction with the expectation that once the instrument sold, I would get access to the funds in a few days at most. Unfortunately, eBay refused to send to bank verification deposits to verify my bank account. I then contacted a rep who said it could take 3-4 days to receive to small deposits to my bank for verification. However, those deposits never came. In the meantime, the 7-day auction ended with someone attempting to purchase the item. So, I contacted another rep who stated it could take a week to receive verification deposits and up to 2 weeks AFTER I shipped the item to access my funds. I was selling the item because I needed money fast. I told eBay no deal, communicated to buyer that I apologized for eBay's failures but he would have to request a refund. He did that and eBay refunded his money. However, this stupid organization is now trying to charge me $167 fee for an item I did not actually sell and the fault lies 100% with eBay. They do not respond directly to email inquiries. Very poor customer support if you can even reach anyone at all. I had to call about 10 times to reach a human two times. So much of my time was wasted. I highly recommend avoiding selling on eBay if your item is expensive. Their website is not user friendly at all with reference to interface but also unclear, even cryptic about their policies prior to setting up a listing. I will close my bank accounts before these jerks get a dime from me and I will NEVER do business with nor recommend anyone else to do so.
Ebay allowed someone to leave bad feedback for something not sold on ebay then tells me because i never noticed it in 90 days could not do anything about it,but admitted how would i notice something that never should have happened. Run by cowboys and half wits use market place
This is my 4th item "Sold," but no one ever replied and didn't pay.
6 Days after winning a bid for $3,650.00, they haven't replied to any of my four messages!
I have written 4 Negative Reviews on buys in the past year and not ONE Negative has shown up on ANY of their profile to date!
EBay needs to demand that everyone add a credit card and automatically pay a day after a sale and fix all of the BS accounts.
There has to be a way to fix it!
Sold 2 items and never received my money. DO NOT SELL WITH THEM, FACEBOOK MARKETPLACE IS MUCH MORE TRUSTWORTHY.
I bought an item from Japan. The item was placed at a pick up station in my country but it didin't specify wich one. The seller told me the item would come to me but of course it didin't. Now the item is back at the seller and he also got my money. Ebay doens't do anything because they protect the seller...
Always ask the seller first how he is gonna send you the item because you will never get your money back when it goes wrong. So dont believe the 'money back guarentee'.
Shop safe!
I use to buy and sale from ebay. Today I decided to do this review so ebay won't do this to anybody else. When you try to contact a vendor for an exchange or returning that vendor doent respond ebay rules in favor to them and you never see the money. Amazon instead have a live person to speak to and return your money and then deal with the vendor. I'm do upset with all the money I'd lost with ebay. But I'm done. Hope u too
Answer: I would never buy a used car without seeing it in person and having it checked out.
Answer: Ebay is a den of thieves. Even Ebay is evasive on complaints to answers. When looking for items, be sure to be fully informed to what you are shopping and use all that knowledge to cypher the listing, even then have found those that list items to be evasive on answers. Avoid ebay if possible!
Answer: For their own purposes and to protect dishonest sellers. I was once an avid EBay shopper, but now avoid EBay. Buyer protection no longer exists. You buy at your own risk.
Answer: Ebay sells nothing. You are dealing with private sellers. Some are good, some are not. The best way to determine this is to check the feedback. I personally never buy from anyone who has a feedback lower than 90%. 96% is considered bad, by Ebay. Take that with a grain of salt. Ebay management is nuts.
Answer: If you haven't already learned the hard way that Ebay is just pure bullshit when it comes to the sellers rights. When someone wants to send it back for any reason other than it doesn't work as described, you will be footing the bill. Not only will you lose the money you paid to ship it to them, Ebay will offer to provide a return label for them at your expense. Yep, that's right. They will bill you the price of the label if you don't provide it. Either way, you are paying for it to get back to you. It's get better. You can't leave negative feedback for the buyer either. It's not an option NO MATTER
Answer: Not to me! It's my main shopping tool! I look for good deals and free shipping!
Answer: Yes. You are right. All what people told you are correct. Don't trust ebay and the seller on ebay. Amazon much better than them. But anyway the best way to buy electronics from the local stores or official stores.
Answer: This depends on the seller of the item - carefully check their feedback and trust you intuition if you have doubts try another seller you feel safer with...
Answer: Hi Tom, As for reviews, you don't get them. It's called feedback. When you buy an item, the seller will probably leave feedback after you leave feedback for them. I hope that answers your question. Nancy
Answer: Depends on the seller. I wouldn't buy anything off ebay because there a crappy company.
Buy and sell electronics, cars, fashion apparel, collectibles, sporting goods, digital cameras, baby items, coupons, and everything else on eBay, the world's online marketplace
