These people refused to apply ACP program (TWICE) and will not connect me to an actual human. I wish I had to returned to their service. I cannot get assistance at all about billing or intermittent connectivity or upgrades. EXTREMELY aggravating!

Tip for consumers:
The only thing I HATE worse than not being able to talk to a rep is not being able to get my question answered EVER! Chatbots and AI for this company SUCKS!

As a former customer, I spent 15 minutes verifying business and contact questions to someone to purchase general liability insurance from Hartford. Then, I was told I'd be transferred to agent with the statement that all my information would be translated to the actual agent. However, the agent who answered the line decided to ask the same questions I had just answered and became rude when I asked why. "If you don't want to answer questions that is fine, I can't help you." So, I answered his stupid questions. He hung up on me when I answered one saying, "Yes, sir, I am calling about my own business." What a $#*!ing jerk!

  • eBay

I attempted to sell a $1200 synthesizer via auction with the expectation that once the instrument sold, I would get access to the funds in a few days at most. Unfortunately, eBay refused to send to bank verification deposits to verify my bank account. I then contacted a rep who said it could take 3-4 days to receive to small deposits to my bank for verification. However, those deposits never came. In the meantime, the 7-day auction ended with someone attempting to purchase the item. So, I contacted another rep who stated it could take a week to receive verification deposits and up to 2 weeks AFTER I shipped the item to access my funds. I was selling the item because I needed money fast. I told eBay no deal, communicated to buyer that I apologized for eBay's failures but he would have to request a refund. He did that and eBay refunded his money. However, this stupid organization is now trying to charge me $167 fee for an item I did not actually sell and the fault lies 100% with eBay. They do not respond directly to email inquiries. Very poor customer support if you can even reach anyone at all. I had to call about 10 times to reach a human two times. So much of my time was wasted. I highly recommend avoiding selling on eBay if your item is expensive. Their website is not user friendly at all with reference to interface but also unclear, even cryptic about their policies prior to setting up a listing. I will close my bank accounts before these jerks get a dime from me and I will NEVER do business with nor recommend anyone else to do so.

Tip for consumers:
Try CL or Offer Up instead.

This is likely one of the most aggravating companies I have ever dealt with. I decided to try the service based on a commercial ("cancel anytime!"). I didn't really want to begin until March but a sales rep called me and said that if I started immediately with initial payment, I would get a free month so that I wouldn't be charged the following month, but the third month instead. Well, guess what... they charged me second month anyway. So, I did my due diligence following up with them to no avail. First rep said "The free month is at the end of the policy." What? Not even close to what my phone sales rep stated. I have asked them at least 6 times by both email and phone to cancel the account which they refuse to do. They send emails and have called on the phone at least three times. Each person I talk to states, "Oh I'm not in the cancellation department" then they transfer to another person who says same thing. My advice is to steer clear of companies like this who are determined to lie and apparently cheat. I had to dispute the unauthorized charge at my bank and cancel my debit card. They have wasted A LOT of my time. I will never talk to them again.

The only reason SimpliSafe gets 2 stars is because I did finally receive a refund (after 3 weeks). After I installed most of the sensors I bought, I called in to get help activating the mobile app. Their two-step authentication was a nightmare. For whatever reason it requires a verification code sent by email. The problem is, the company could not send the email. Minutes seem to turn into hours on the phone. Three different representatives actually hung up on me. I was without my 300 bucks and a security system for 3 weeks because of this company. I STRONGLY do not recommend as my current local security company shared a video of a burglar easily disarming a SimpliSafe alarm. The whole experience was a major pain but probably wound up turning out better for me in the long run since there is little worse than a false sense of security based on a company that can't even send an email verification as part of their own standard operating procedure.
