Purchased the Samsonite underseater from Ebags and found that this piece was way too large for the underseater space on my Alaska flight. The next day I called to return the luggage and they rejected the return because now it was a used item. The company expected the customer to research the aircraft luggage specifications before use. Calling the Samsonite underseater is false advertising because the only space it would fit would be first class section. This company does not know the meaning of customer satisfaction! I would highly advise others not to support Ebags.
Ebags suitcase is great! TLS Mother Lode Mini 21" Wheeled is our model and we love the different compartments. Easy to carry and nice design! We used for a month trip two people combining with a backpack. We can carry all the clothes and separate dirty clothes for laundry. We can also keep cables and computer for our online job. Toilettries can also keep in different compartment since there are many of them. The suitcase is perfect for short trips even for two people. Hopefully trying more products of ebags!
Otherwise, try ordering from the product manufacturer directly. Because I live in the Denver area, where eBags is based, I wanted to try it out. I used a 20% discount code for being a first-time customer in order to save a few dollars in comparison to Amazon Prime. The order was placed on 2/7/17 and arrived this afternoon. I could have picked up the order locally or it likely would have been here on 2/9 or 2/10 if I had ordered the item through Amazon Prime. Between 2/7 and today, I did not receive any of the text updates that I signed up for regarding my order, its status, and delivery exceptions. The eBags tracking system is terrible in comparison to Amazon's and carriers like UPS, FedEx, or even the USPS. While I fully understand eBag's drop ship business model, it is evident that the process should be more streamlined in an online marketplace. Competition is fierce and Amazon is eating everyone's lunch (rightfully so).
This online store seemed pretty cool but the reality is completely different. I ordered a handbag that was what I was looking for: fashionable and useful. But what was my surprise when the item arrived: it wasn't the bag that I paid for, it was a wrong item! Its quality is awful, it seems made in China! I have tried to contact them several times but I didn't receive any reply to my e-mails. Be aware, this company is a scam!
I would give negative stars if I could. I purchased a 3 piece luggage set on sale, next day I get an email saying it's out of stock. That same day I got an email advertising same set for a higher price! Ofcourse no response to my email and they don't answer the phone.
How is this company still in business? Where is the BBB and FTC?
Just recently tried it for the first time; I was very impressed! The price was great; it arrived quickly. I decided the bag was not exactly what I wanted, and their return process was so easy. They also refunded the money very quickly. I would definitely recommend it!
I've been trying for a month now to get a refund for an item that they lost in the mail and it's like pulling teeth. They initiated an investigation with the USPS who later called me and told me they approved for them to issue me a refund because the item was lost. Two weeks later I'm still waiting for a refund andAfter calling customer service they again told me they need to call me back within 24 hours. They do not follow up and they do all that they can to not refund their customers. Avoid using this company because it's a scam. They were happy to take my money but now that the item is lost they're not willing to refund? Unethical business practices!
I placed an order for over $310 including a red leather bag that was priced very well and I had tracked for a while. The other items arrived as expected but the bag never arrived. The company never notified me that anything was wrong. I email customer service today only to be told that the item "is no longer available" - mind you it was avaiable at the time since the purchase was confirmed and I received an estimated shipping date. They made no attempt to contact me to let me know or to correct the situation - they simply told me to pick another color AT A HIGHER PRICE! Terrible customer service - I am letting everyone know"
Read these reviews. They are true. I wish I saw these. I ordered 2 suitcases. One gets lost on way to me and they want me to wait for an investigation when they clearly see I didnt get my items when promised. They first wanted me to do all the leg work then I threatened to write a bad review and call my credit company. Then they put the investigation in with the delivery company. They still wont refund me until the review is done. That is not how one conducts good business. They will not let me write a review on their site either, funny how that is. I had bought an Osprey 55 liter back pack for $149.00 on the ebags site. #1 it took forever to receive. Once I received it, I decided this back pack was to big for me and asked to return it 28 days later and ebags stated they would not honor the return although their website says they have a 30day return policy, instead they offered me a coupon for 20% off to buy more stuff. Really why would I buy more stuff if they do not honor their return policy? I would not buy anything else from this site due to the misleading return policy. REI will take returns up to 90 days later. You may pay a few dollars more but REI return policy is much better, wont go back to ebags. I would give them 0 stars :(
I placed an order with ebags 12 days ago and the item, which was shown as in stock, has still not shipped, and the company can still not give me an update of when it will ship. Because it has taken so long, I contacted them to cancel the order, and despite three calls to customer service in the last three days, ebags has still yet to be able to confirm whether the order can be canceled. To have this level of ineptitude from an online retailer in this day and age is appalling. I obviously will never be buying from them again and will tell anyone I can find to never use ebags.
I ordered travel pro overnight bag, which was to be delivered a week later... a few days later I received an email saying that there is a warehouse issue and they are not sure when the bag will arrive... called customer service to verify, and then canceled the order... as soon as order canceled my credit card was billed and a shipping notification was sent out... they then canceled the shipping notification, and told me my card was will be refunded once the bag is sent back... there is no bag that was shipped... there will be no refund... E Bags is a scam... stay away... just bought from Amazon...
I was so excited to get the luggage that stated "Easy Returns", to find out it didn't even make it on 1 trip. The seems started coming apart, etc. It wasn't going to hold up for even a year. When I went to return it, they said this"ITluggage" brand isn't returnable. What? I am so upset.
Do not purchase from this gretailer, you will only be disappointed. There is NO WAY to cancel an order a few mins/ hours after placing it. It goes into "processing" and sits there for 3 days. The delivery date shown on the order is an "estimate". That's when they actually ship it. Not deliver it. Huhh?
Returns are expensive - you pay for shipping and a return/restocking fee.

Really bad service. Bought a bag on Nov 11th, never got any confirmation or order number, checked my account and saw that nothing bad been taken from it so I thought the purchase had not gone through and bought a bag somewhere else. 10 days later I get this e-mail from a 3rd party company saying that the product had been shipped (!). Got in touch with costumer service (David) who was ironic, did not resolve the problem said the purchase could not be cancelled and disconnected me from the chat! Really bad and unfair service, will never buy there again!
Beware of eBags! I recently purchased 2 items. For whatever reason, they shipped in 2 separate packages. One arrived to me in Pennsylvania. One was shipped to California. When I finally received 2nd item, I found out that it was a very cheap copy of what was in the actual photo. One of the amazing details of the bag was the detachable shoulder strap. The one shipped to me had a plain, boring, attached, blue, canvas strap. No details whatsoever. I have attached a photo to show the difference. Their customer service is horrible and they rip of their customers!
I ordered the eBag Professional Weekender backpack, and it arrived quicker than expected. I've been very happy with it and subsequently ordered the Professional Slim laptop backpack for every day use and have also been pleased with it. It also arrived sooner than expected. Have had nothing but very good experiences with eBags.
I agree with the other reviewer that it's a great source for luggage and travel bags. I've only ordered one item, it came but the colour wasn't as described/shown on the webpage. I'm not sure how that happened as the colour I ordered was "Fog" and it's clearly a grey in the picture for that product listing. But when it arrived, it was a cyan colour - what's confusing was that the tag that came with it also said "Fog". So either the manufacturer mislabeled it, the product listing page had an older picture or ebags somehow mislabeled it. Either way, it wasn't a big deal and I didn't want the hassle of returning it just because of colour discrepancy.
The only reason I haven't bought anything else from them is also because I find their pricing for handbags slightly high and good deals can be found elsewhere. But I think that their "comment and get 20% off" deal is a smart practice. Product reviews for online shopping always help and that's a great incentive.
I had a suitcase fail under the lifetime warranty. They replaced it, and I thought they were great. I didn't open the box until I was ready to use the replacement suitcase, and found that it was defective beyond use. I contacted them. Their customer service told me it wasn't covered as they had determined it was "customer wear and tear". It was BRAND NEW. They stated they have the final say, and they have decided it was not defective but customer wear and tear. Their warranty is meaningless when they can send out faulty goods and then blame the customer.
I LOVE this site and its eponymous products. I own the ebags brand Mother Lode, a laptop pack and the packing cubes and I they are essentials. I use and abuse them daily, travel with them and they take it. Highly recommended for bag purchases, but PARTICULARLY recommend that you take a hard look at the ebags-branded option, if there is one, for items you're considering.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
