First time ordering online, when I received the shoes they were the wrong color, I took it in the store for an Exchange and was told I had to pay additional money for taxes. Why am I paying additional money when its DSW error.
Then I didn't learn from the first time and decided to order another pair of shoes since I recieved points, shoes was delivered but wrong size. Now again I have to waste my time driving to fedex to drop off the return and hope I get the right size.

I was in a DSW store today looking for shoes to wear for work. None of the employees asked me if I needed help, so I had to walk all over the store to find a worker. When asking the girl if they had any kind of work shoes in womens she had no clue and she did not know of any type of shoes that she would recommend. So I would have liked to talk to a manager or someone that had knowledge with shoes. I did not get the help I needed, so I left the store dissappointed.
Here is what happended to me when I was a DSW customer.
I placed a pickup DSW order (~200$). Before I picked it up, I received an email saying something like "thanks for picking up the order at the store". I immediately called DSW customer service for help as I didn't pick it up and didn't authorize anyone to pick it up. DSW customer said"it was marked as picked up in their system and cannot help with refund unless I provide evidence that i didn't pick it up by getting video footage from the local store or neighborbood to prove I didn't pick it up". Not long after, that local store was closed. The store was gone... I cannot connect with the store customer service anymore...Called multiple DSW times and ask to speak with supervisor... NOT helpful at all.
Yeah, dispute via credit card bank provider is the way to go.
They lose myself and my friends as customers. Ultimately, their loss.
Hope DSW management that care for DSW see customers' complains and take actions.
I placed an order on November 28,2022 I had ordered a pair of shoes that I had needed for a banquet that I will be going to on December 10. I received my shoes on December 7 when I receive my shoes my shoes have been worn, they were all scuffle stretched up and on the bottom you could tell they have been worn and they had a hole in them contact DSW. They said that I could not get my shoes overnight to me so I told him I wanted to speak with a supervisor. Supervisor said that they will ship the shoes and I will receive them in two days here it is December 9 I still have not received my shoes. I will not be ordering from them again.
Never going to use dsw again. Bought new dockers online, put them on the first time and shoe string breaks on Left one, I reajust the string and it breaks again. I just want new shoestrings but dsw makes it a hassle by forcing me to return and excahnge them. No regard for the customer experience, just rote reading of the return script on their end. NO MORE DSW.
Today i went to DSW and Megan helped me with my purchase and information that I needed as a member and a customer. Megan definitely went out of her way to make me happy. Thank You Megan Garcia for giving me excellent customer service.
I visited the Monroeville PA store on Saturday 10-17-2020. I purchased two pairs of shoes. Nicole was the young lady that assisted me at the check out counter. Very pleasant and helpful. Had a smile on her face. Willing to help me with my coupons so I could get the best value possible. A GREAT EMPLOYEE OF DSW SHOES. Thank you
I spent over 45 minutes selecting a shoe and at checkout there was an issue. I contacted customer service and was told the shoe I ordered was out of stock! There was no mention of out of stock when I selected the shoe to purchase! On top of that, the coupon I used was a one time use! I would give them a zero if possble!
As in the prior review I ordered a pair of shoes. They arrived and were way too small. I returned the shoes and asked them to replace with the next size up. Waited three weeks and no shoes and no contact. Ordered the shoes on a Monday and because I needed the shoes by Saturday I paid $18.95 for two-day shipping. They didn't arrive by Thursday so I went on Chat. After speaking with Rashanda for over an hour, she promised that the shoes would be delivered Friday. Friday comes. No shoes. Back on Chat after waiting 17 minutes on the phone to talk to a real person. This person, Parris, guarantees me Saturday delivery before 3:00 and gives me a new reference number. Saturday, 2:30 -- no shoes and my daughter's Prom is in two hours. I called them again. He tells me. Sorry Mam, but these shoes are scheduled for delivery Monday. DO NOT BUY SHOES ONLINE WITH THIS COMPANY!
This was my 2nd time shopping at DSW in six years, the first time was an extremely fun experience. The second time on 2/13/2021 was even a more kind courteous service. I was in that mall for over 5 hours and DSW was by far the best shopping experience during my entire shopping spree. While at DSW Miss Jillian catered to me like a Queen she is Kind, Courteous, Funny, full of laughs she smiled kept it and pure 100% Professional. Thank you...
The customer service esperance was really disappointing. I was left to solved the problem of exchanging a pair of sandals that I recived two for the same foot. Because I ordered online I lost time and gift bouchées that I had on my account that were not returned.
I buy shoes online, because I like the idea of buying NEW shoes; however, buying at DSW, you're sent shoes that have been worn before, and all too often have scuff marks, because the shoes ordered on DSW.com (as well as bags, and other accessories) are *not* shipped from a warehouse, but instead are simply shipped from one of DSW's 100s of stores. Buyer beware: if you buy shoes at DSW.com, you are getting shoes that have already been worn by someone shopping at a DSW, and they will probably arrive all scuffed up (which has happened to me much too often). I am done shopping at DSW! I now buy my shoes from Shoes.com (a subsidiary of Wal-Mart); the shoes come *brand new* from a warehouse, so you never have to worry about them arriving worn, and scuffed up! Auf wiedersehen, DSW!--you've lost a loyal customer!
Ordered two pairs of shoes. One white pair (dirty and brown). Second Black. Both were full of hair and dirt. GROSS! Wish I had checked reviews first. Guess thats all they sell.
I purchased -Timberland-Skyla Bay Slip-On for a trip I had. Very excited when the package arrived; as soon as I opened the package and saw the shape the box was in, I was very disappointed. Box should have been repacked as it was cut and missing a portion. As I removed the slip ons, I came to see that the security tag was still attached. I work 12 hours a day and knew I didn't have time to go to the store prior. This is beyond inconvenient and not sure within the next month I will have an opportunity to physically go to the store to have it removed. My blood is boiling and I'm so disappointed.
Sent email October 5th. Today Oct 20th, Still did not received a reply. Sent another email with how disappointed I was. Was just wanting an apology never received one and still not sure when I can return these shoes for a full refund now. I have spent a lot of money with them. Now they lost a good customer. I purchase shoes, sneakers & boots for my family. Every year.
DSW used to be the only site I shopped for shoes, but nowadays the standard is for them to take a week just to prepare an order, and another week for the shoes to arrive by slow first class mail. Only order from DSW if you can wait 2 weeks for your shoes to arrive.
I ordered a pair of sneakers on DSW website. They arrived with an anti-theft/security tag still attached (in a box with the top cut off)! I now have to take time out of my day to drive to the nearest DSW store to have it removed because it cannot be simply cut off. Someone was either stupid/badly-trained or didn't care enough to remove it before stuffing the shoes into a bag to mail them, or, indeed, did it maliciously. Also, ordering the shoes didn't go without a hitch. Two days after placing my order, I got an email from DSW saying my order had been cancelled. I right away called them and spent 40 minutes on the phone while the rep was trying to track down a tracking number (which didn't even exist at that point, hence the enormous waste of time). Finally, 3-4 days later I got a shipment confirmation and another 2 days later my shoes (with an anti-theft tag attached) arrived...but not before I'd gotten yet another erroneous email from DSW letting me know that they were still processing my order and asking me to have patience! It's a hot mess. I won't be reordering.
I am so fed up with DSW! I ordered a pair of sneakers and some boots from online 12/18/15, it is now 1/7/16 a whole new year. My boots ended up getting cancelled, and my sneakers never arrived because of the P. O BOX BEING ON THE ADDRESS? REALLY? I already done called DSW twice and they were suppose to return my money. The man said they would return my money 3-5 days, its been six days. It does not take this long, and I will keep calling and calling until I get my money back.
DSW has the worst Customer service. I purchased a pair of boots online, unfortunately they didnt fit me. And due to the covid19 situation the stores near me are closed. So i made online return via FedEx, following the details given to me by DSW online customer service. They received my package by March 30th. And even after so many email conversations my case is still open. They have processed only the partial amount yet and I am still waiting to receive complete money back.I have sent screenshots of receipts and all details they asked for, but no luck yet. Seems like the DSW Customer Service dont want to understand. And now i am loosing hope of even getting my money back! Worst Customer Service, Waste of time and money!
I went to the DSW on Polaris and I met the manager, Kyle! He went above and beyond to make my experience one to remember. I was interested in several shoes and he was able to locate two in his store and for the 3rd shoe he searched in other locations until he found it in Dublin Ohio. The next time I was there with all of the shoe lovers he meets and helps everyday, when I came in he remembered me! Again he helped and along with other team members, Monica and Erin. I will not got to a different DSW unless directed due to the show can be located there with their help! Kudos to Kyle and his other staff, Erin and Monica. Great Job and Customer Service!
Horrible! They never pick up the phone. They forgot to send me the free cooler (they suppose to send with certain order) and I never got my answer as I couldn't wait over 36 minutes for a costumer representative. I will never order from them again.

Answer: It is an automative system that tries to calculate the hold time based on how many calls have finished vs how many calls are coming in. It is annoying to be on hold for awhile but shoephoria! Center is the only call center in the nation, with a lot more shoe lovers calling in at once than the call representatives that are available
