The sofa doesn't seem to allow you to sink into it, rather you sit right on top very aware of the shapes in the design. I imagine you just have to break it in (?) don't know if that's how furniture works, but it's NOT uncomfortable! Works PERFECTLY in my dorm! Though definitely pricey..
I am thrilled to find out about DormCo. Our Senior Celebration Committee has used this company to purchase many raffles for our Senior Celebration Event. It is one stop shopping to get everything you need for dorm living. The products are well made and affordable!
I received my package but when I opened it up, there was no instruction manual. Thankfully my 10 yr old and I are mechanical geniuses and together we figured out how to build it (with some backsteps to undo some things) in about an hour. Had I received a book, I would have knocked it out a lot quicker and maybe not screwed up the bench lid part. I fixed it but now there are unnecessary holes in it. Solid wood though, great little bench with shoe rack. Love it!

I ordered 3 panels and they came quickly. They unfortunately were extremely wrinkled in the packaging and thus looked terrible when hung up on the junior lofted dorm bed. What college student wants to iron? So I had to take them back home and iron them to then hang them again. Now they look fantastic. "we tied them to a curtain rod that we hung under her bed so that she can slide the skirt.
I had to order the extra long 48" bedskirt because the normal dorm size not back in stock till 2020! More than 5 mo is pretty ridiculous but will make the long one work. Just not my first choice. Shipped in extremely small fed ex envelope type package - why?
Everything seems perfect, I have not had a chance to use it yet but everything came in and was exactly what I wanted.
The one thing I will say is I packed my XL blanket bag with all my stuff But when I went to pick it up by the handles I heard a stitch tear. Hopefully everything else holds up a little better than that.

Sent comforter back on Thursday 7/25 and expect it to reach dormco by Wednesday 7/30. They told me my new comforter would be sent to me as soon as they received my exchange. Waiting to see how that turns out before I can give an accurate review.
Although the product seems good quality, it obviously had been opened before and returned. One part was broken but it was an insignificant piece that we glued back together. One pole doesn't match the other 3 but is functional and the difference is undetectable once assembled. All the parts were included and It was easy to assemble.
I ordered 3 items for my son for college; a trunk, shower shoes and an under-fridge storage unit.
The trunk was received damaged thanks to UPS. Dormco gave me a partial refund for that. It is sturdy and well-made. We added on the wheels and shelf and it was worth it.

The shower shoes are supposed to be small (8.5 to 9.5) but they fit me and I'm size 11, so if you buy them order 2 sizes smaller. I have to return them since there are no smaller sizes offered.

In all, the items are good quality and their offer of a partial refund for the damaged item was quick (still not processed) but their return policy (customer pays) is not customer friendly.
Products were delivered to our house and NOT the dorm per their mistake which they wouldn't fix. Couldn't get ANYONE on the phone to help. Spent significant extra $$ to ship on our own to the college. Products are cheaply made, wood splinters as you put it together and the directions are not clear to follow. Would NEVER use this company again. Buyer beware!
First time to purchase from dormco. Ordered dolly for transport of dorm items. Delivered badly damaged and without the "legs" to hold transported items-only sent with the handle. I have pictures. Contacted listed customer service number but they will only talk to you if you want to purchase more items-will only email you if you have product issues. Received email that stated it will probably come in second shipment-why would they send a very small dolly in 2 shipments? It won't arrive in that shipment (already on its way supposedly) and I will probably never see a refund. Stay away! They don't care about their customers I promise you!

Intentionally misleading product description. Contacted company, who, instead of issuing a refund, defended their decision to call melamine-wrapped particle-board "wood". It's no more wood than ground beef ensconced in Saran-wrap is a cow.
Please file complaints with the FTC when companies deceive and harm you. Truth in advertising is a business principal worth defending.
Dormco charges extra for "expedited" delivery but the items do not deliver within the expedited delivery window. If you want to return something because it didn't deliver in time, you're stuck paying return shipping charges on bulky items made from heavy MDF particle board that costs a fortune to ship back. Dormco won't honor delivery window timeframe and basically just tells you, "that's your problem." I would never shop here again. Zero stars.
They get zero stars not even worth one star
Self locking trunk came damaged with missing pieces would not issue a refund unless I paid for shipping $45 for a $90 product. I let them mail me another only to find illegible directions and not instructions on self locking mechanism. Called customer service only to be told the warehouse would call me back they're busy! Customer service rep Olivia was nasty and rude... never order from them cheaper isn't better so disgusted!
My daughter and I ordered the silver birch gathered ruffles comforter. When we received it, it was not at all the color pictured and the absolute cheapest quality you can imagine - a lot of ripped out stitching, super thin and rough material. It was out of the package maybe 1 hour. I spent $18 to send it back. They refused to give me a refund because there "was a hair on it". I'm sorry I have hair! I did not know I needed a hair net to view my items! Absolutely ridiculous!
Our experience with DormCo, unfortunately, mirrors that of many others, now that we have looked at the reviews. Shoddy products, and really outrageous return policy. Save your $$ and aggravation, and avoid this seller like the plague.
My daughter wanted a white footlocker to take to college. I hesitated to purchase one for a variety of reason namely price, but Dorm Co. Offered a reasonably priced product. The product is much more sturdy than one we found at the local store or Amazon. The downside would be she wanted a flat, smooth surface so she put stickers all over. The surface is bumpy, but do not get me wrong still very attractive. She did put stickers all over, but unsure it will last. The trunk has a bit of a purplish undertone too. Overall, the product is amazing. Strong and Sturdy! Price Amazing! Arrived quickly too!
Purchased from my granddaughter who is on the top bunk in her dorm. She put it to use right away to hold her water bottle or small items within easy reach. She is thrilled with the purchase. A must have.
All of my orders have been exactly what I ordered and delivered exactly when your company said they would come. Except for the fridge stand which I have not yet assembled all other products have so far seemed great quality.
