Never use Uber Eats, use Doordash or Grubhub, in order to avoid being completely ripped off.
Up until today, my experience with Doordash has actually been really good. I order a minimum once a week and on the rare exception my order was messed up, I would either get a partial refund or re-delivery. I have Dashpass to save money. Made a mistake and changed from monthly to yearly, Called customer service and asked to get yearly refunded($100.00) and go back to monthly($9.99). The rep confirmed I was back on monthly. I ordered 5 times after that and tonight I opened the app and it said, I could have saved $46.00 with Dashpass. I was like I have Dashpass. I looked into it and I was never placed back on the plan so I paid all the fees. Called and asked for at least half that back since their rep made the mistake and was told $10.00 was all they could do and then I could resign up for Dashpass... there would go my $10.00 credit. I did not resign up as Hulu is giving 6 months free with Uber Eats. Very disappointing to a loyal customer.
Delivery never received. Dasher very rude to the apartment manager. She left left my food on the managers door stating that there were too many old people and she did not have a mask. Manager states she was very rude. I reported this to door dash but they were very short with me since I didn't order directly from them. (The restaurant used them) I reported door dash to the restaurant and they gave me a full refund. I also left a scathing message to this particular person.
I ordered food. The food delivered was not was I ordered and an item was missing. I complained and they did not credit my credit card. They only gave me a "credit" against future orders. Why would I ever order from them again when they can't get an order right in the first place. DO NOT USE THEM.
Ordered a piece of cheesecake from yogen fruz(10 mins away) and it said it would take 35-45 mins. After about 45 mins I got a text saying it was picked up and on the way to me. 2 minutes later i get another text saying my order has been cancelled. Waited an hour and paid 13$ for a piece of cheesecake that never ended up coming.
Doordash is a ripoff stay away. Customer Service is the worst. I used the app and their was glitch and order was not processed. They charged my credit card and there was no order confirmation or food delivered. I emailed and called them. No response. This is my first review ever. Will never use doordash. Worst people and service. Rip off. They will charge ur credit card and no order received. Their mobile app had a problem
The Door dash driver delivered my medications (5 total) to the wrong apartment in my complex. She said a woman told her she was me and supposedly signed for it. Then she even said she went back to the apartment to retrieve my order but no one was home. The next day I found out that the apartment was vacant for at least a week. She ended up leaving my order inside a vacant apartment. She obviously lied about someone signing for it, going back to retrieve my order etc. I got no real help from door dash. If I hadn't done all the research, which took me 24 hours and a tremendous amount of stress, I would never have gotten my meds back. I only use door dash cuz that's who my pharmacy uses for delivery. Suffice it to say I will NEVER order anything from them. If I could give them a negative star, I would.
Contacted them about not having received my refund on November 9th and they told me "it shows on our end it has been paid". My bank stated otherwise and I told them that and they did not care. My bank verified that NO refund was ever sent and they still refused to issue a credible refund. Never ever again will I ever use my personal bank card on their site. They lie about their refunds and will not give you what is rightfully yours even after verification from your bank about you not receiving a refund from them in any dollar amount.
I have tried to reach Doordash for months trying to resolve a Dashpass monthly charge because I did not authorize the charge and I have not been able to fix this, today a representative has able to see the problem, replied I would get reimburse only two months and closed the chat without allowing to answer or ask any questions. I been having this unauthorized charged since August, 2020 and no one is able to fix this. Terrible services. Doordash has not taken responsibility nor have they helped get this discontinue and reimburse me every month they have been deducting from my credit card without my authorization.
Terrible customer service. I ordered breakfast from Tim Hortons and the lid from the coffee came off during delivery and partially emptied the coffee on my sandwiches and soaked them. Made them inedible.
I called customer service and they kept placing me on hold (about 8 times) and eventually said they could only give me a $5 credit. My entire breakfast was ruined and inedible yet that was all they would do. Terrible customer service!
I have cancelled my Dashpass and will eventually close my account but I am NEVER going to use them again. UberEats will be my goto service from now on.
I placed an order and waited over 2 hours before I was informed by the doordash driver that he didn't have a working car today. Why would DoorDash allow you to place and pay for an order that can't be fulfilled. The Help options on Doordash are not helpful at ALL and there's absolutely no contact information available except the driver's number which is useless. I will never use or recommend Doordash ever again! Poor app design, lack of communication, and UNRELIABLE!
Order doordash from frisch's didnt get half of are order called them to tell them then they expect me to turn around and pay another delivery free the lady on the phone was a pure $#*!. I wouldn't recommend door dash horrible costumer service.
Door Dash SUCKS! I received food that was raw and inedible and they hid behind "policy" and wouldn't reimburse! Absolute crap! This service sucks! And they're customer service is the worst I've ever experienced! They couldn't even tell me what "policy" doesn't let them reimburse for food that's inedible! Use any other service! This one sucks!

Never received my initial order tonight, called and was promised a prompt re-delivery. Tracker showed my re-delivery dasher going away from my house after leaving the restaurant, ended up 20 miles away. Never got either order, cancelled the order
Doordash drivers suck
They charge the most atrocious fees and they won't give you a full refund if there's a problem with your order. Speaking to a customer service agent is pointless, they're extremely RUDE and unhelpful. I won't be using DoorDash ever again. If you order from DoorDash, you either won't receive your food at all (the dasher will steal it), the order will be tampered with (the dasher will take a bite out of your food), or your entire order will be incorrect. Don't waste your money with this company! They're nothing but frauds and scammers.
Have been charged 2 times now for $9.99 from my bank account. I have called twice and was told I don't have an account. I have the emails from doordash stating I do not have an account. I what the charges to stop NOW and I want my money returned NOW! I have gotten zero customer service that was worth anything. I am contacting the BBB and my bank has an alert on my account due to the theft of door dash. So they call me back at 10:30 pm to let me know that I do not have an account and they have to send it to another department and yet nobody can tell me why I am being charged. Listen people don't use these damn companies that are fly by night get rich scams. They are thieves.
Ordered $61.77 of food.(Nursing and staff at a busy hospital.) DoorDash employee, "Esmeralda" came and our receptionist told her she'd call the nursing unit. She stated, "No 'peeky english" and LEFT WITH OUR FOOD! 2 nurses called, got excuses, stated it was ordered under another name, couldn't find the order number. It was a nightmare. Inept customer service and theft, as food was not returned to restaurant OR DoorDash. Hope you enjoyed our elaborate lunch, Esmeralda! Beyond worst customer service ever. Disgusted.
I have been dashing over years now and I am receiving very low priced orders like pickup orders from Mama Stortini's and deliver to Tacoma which is 8.6 miles away(one way) and come back with empty hand because it's out of dash zone and receive $3.00 include tips. I asked about this matter to Doordash support and their support told me that I must do this otherwise Doordash will put me into the situation of deactivation of dashing account. Wow, isn't this threatening from doordash support to the dasher? "Cash on delivery" is the worst one. It looks like you are getting tips on cash, however, Doordash deducted more amounts than you 've received on hand when they wire the money to your account. I have attached the screenshot of orders they were sending me to dash.
I have used Door Dash twice and both times have been HORRIBLE, 1st time food arrived after 40 minutes. Food had fallen out of the container and was in the bottom of the bag with the napkins and silverware, it was also ICE COLD. Completely disgusting! Then today I decided to try again since I leave the work. I ordered and paid. Then 10 minutes later I got a call stating I wasn't in the delivery area, and they were cancelling my order. And my money would be refunded in 5 to 10 days. And hung up. So I guess i get no food and no money. Wow!
I've only used one of these delivery services once, because I had Covid. Doordash not only failed to deliver my $85 worth of stuff. They also completely blew me off when I spoke to customer service. Unbelievable. I had to call a cab to go get me tylonol, juice, soup and crackers after losing $85 to these scammers.

Answer: First, DoorDash collects a tip BEFORE you get service. I always tip, so should you. Ubereats lets you tip AFTER you get service - better. Caveat - getting your tip back from DoorDash for bad service is almost impossible.
