I firstly contacted DIY Dress due to being let down by a different supplier, I was very apprehensive about ordering, but the team put my mind at rest. They assured me that they could meet my expectations of a custom made wedding dress and that all the detail could be done. I placed my order, along with a bridesmaid dress, three flowergirl dresses and a couple pairs of shoes. They contacted me several times to double check the measurements I had provided and confirm colours. They really settled my rattled nerves. I received the order within the time they had specified, even with the custom made dress. I have to say I was nervous opening the package, but as soon as I looked at one of the flowergirl dresses I knew everything would be ok. The dresses are beautiful and just as I wanted. The wedding dress is perfect, the team at DIY Dress have done an outstanding job, I would not hesitate to order again from here. The shoes are a perfect fit and comfortable too. The staff who answered my constant questions were amazing, thank you ladies.

Avoid this company! You do not recieve the any close to the picture they advertise. I tried to complain and ask for refund as the item is wrong and this what i got in respionce from several of their email: "We are so sorry that we let you down. From the pictures that you sent us, the dress is beautiful. Why not try it on? As you know our dress sold in such good price. Even you buy a dress from a real shop, it may can reach your 100% satisfaction. Please consider reasonable. We have spent much time and energy in making your dress. As an online shop, we earn a little profit from one order. If you dislike the dress, you can sell it online to save money or give it to your friends.If you return it, the dress is useless. We think you must be stunning when wearing it.We would like to give you 10 pounds discount for your next order as we do want to keep long business relationships with you and make you feel a little better.The dress pictures are only for reference, because every dress is a new one." The dress i recieve is nothing close to what they advertise, i would really advise not to buy from this shop. They just say the dress is still beautiful and you should be happy as the price for it is very low. Please avoid this website, otherwise you will lose money and had unpleasant experience.

This web site was my worst nightmare. I ordered my wedding dress, which suppose to be very beautiful. Not only I got my dress two and half weeks later but it was a most horrible dress I ever seen in my life. I got it so late that I was depressed cry for couple days and went looking for other web sites to get my dress and started to file return to diydress.co.uk and then I got email from them telling me that I wont get any returns and they wont give my money back and if I don't like something about dress bring it to tailors and fix it my self. I could not believe ignorance of those people, as far they have you money they do not care what you think about them. Then I realised that the pictures they have on there website of dresses they do is just copied from original designers sites and they have no ideas how to make them, and not only that they will tell you that everything if perfect for them and no money back and as well I was offered to sell it eBay or on any other site as they wont take it back. Dress I so on them web site and that I got in delivery bag was 2 different dress and the one I had in my hands was so horrible made that you cant even fix it and apparently Diydress do not care about there clients.

Ordered my daughter's prom dress and it arrived inside out, crushed and faulty. The workmanship was appalling. The dress has an over skirt which was shorter than the hem; it was uneven in length all round. The dress is a dark purple with an appliqué bodice. The appliqué flowers were poorly constructed and the white material on which the flowers are constructed shows through. I contacted the company who said I was at fault for giving wrong measurements and offered £10 towards tailoring. They refused to accept responsibility and will not accept a return. Also note that although it is a UK website address, they are based in Hong Kong.

UPDATE 28/5/16

After I threatened court action I heard nothing further. Today I received an email out of the blue saying that they will now accept a return and will give a full dress refund. The return address is in China. They are refusing to pay return costs which will be over £30. I will continue through my credit card company until I get a full refund and not end up out of pocket.

This site has been using other designers' photos to sell dresses. The ones that arrive look nothing like the pictures at all.

I ordered a simple elegant looking dress for my bridesmaid, and it is awful!
When the dress arrived, it was the wrong colour, wrong measurements, poorly put together, proportions were all wrong, and the overall quality was rubbish as well. There were supposed to be flat pleats on the front of the dress at the waistline, instead they've used some kind of weird stitch makes it stick out around the waist. Not flattering. My bridesmaid looks like she's wearing a bustle at the back!

When I complained about all of these things, the company flatly denied that there were any differences between the dress that arrived and the pictures on the website, in broken english. This has gone back and forth for some weeks now, and they have now offered me a discount on future purchases! The cheek of it!
I will never be purchasing anything from this company ever again, and I will make sure as many people as possible know they are scan artists and theives.

I ordered two dresses from this site and i was planning on using them for my brides maids dresses for my wedding next year. I ordered a size 10 dress (my normal size) and also got a size 12 dress because it was a tighter fit and i was planning on altering it to be smaller. The size 12 dress ended up being smaller then my size 10 dress by half and inch. I emailed to return the dresses since i had previously inquired on their website, (which states if you are unhappy with the dresses you order you are able to return within 14 days). They declined my return and said that the dresses were custom made( Which i did not do) and they could not accept a return, but if I gave them £120.00 more they would remake it for me. I had to email them back and forth for 3 weeks, measure the dresses and send them pictures to show that they had made a mistake on the size of both dresses only for them to decline my return and continue to suggest for me to buy more dresses and they promise to make those right. I would never buy from this website as they have bad service, and actually are promising false things on their website which say you can return if there is anything wrong with the dress. I do plan on reporting their website as I believe they are not upholding what they said on the site.

I received my dress 10 days earlier than expected and am very pleased with the quality of the fabric and with the professionalism of the staff. I read some negative online reviews after placing my order and was very worried from the date of ordering until the day I received the package. Once I opened the package, I was relieved: the dress was beautiful and the quality of the work & material exceeded my expectations. It also fits perfectly well - I still cannot believe it is possible to have a dress made to fit so well by ordering online! It is possible that I was lucky, but I am very pleased indeed. I was also surprised at the quality of customer service standards at DIYdress - every time I contacted customer service, I received a response very quickly and the staff were very supportive. I would highly recommend

I will post the pictures after the wedding due to a superstition in my culture, but please be reassured the dress looks similar to the picture on the website and it is stunning! My fiance ordered 4 bridesmaid dresses from DIY. The pictures looked lovely and the description detailed exactly what she was after. BUT, when the dresses arrived, they turned out to be a material of a very cheap look. Definitely not what the description read. The colour was suppose to be ice blue but was much darker. The neck pattern was totally different to that modeled on the website. They rarely responded to emails we sent asking them to sort the dresses out for us. When they did they denied the dresses were different in any way and even went as far as to inform us that THEY were finding the situation STRESSFUL! The dresses cost us over £400 in total. They offered us a refund of £20 (not per dress!) and, cheekily, 10% off a further purchase! Further emails were sent expressing our dissatisfaction so they chose to ignore us completely. The dresses are that bad that we have failed to sell them ourselves even for £30 a dress! We have since purchased dresses from elsewhere and have had to take the loss.

Warning do not buy from diydress. They are claiming to be uk site based whereas everything is all done over seas. I had nothing but back the forth about when my dress would get here getting told different things from different people then when my dress did turn up it wasn't well packed just in a bag and then a jiffy bag.
The dress itself isn't that bad better than I ever expect but the boning in the dress is awful unless you have no boobs you'll be fine it doesn't give any support what so ever
Now to try and get a refund first of all the sizing isn't correct on the bust when I sent photos they told me I had measured it wrong and to do it again. Now asking for a refund they are now asking why ect so now waiting on a reply. Iv been told several times by the online people that I can return if not happy which I have screen Shotted if they ask or bank ask to see proof. This company is nothing but getting me frustrated they are making something that would be so simple into a Massive pain in the arse.

I ordered a dress for prom an I was sooo angry with everything about the dress it came 2 weeks before my prom and I immediately requested a refund on email and they didn't reply until 2 days later I then decided to call their so called trusted number and the number doesn't exist, call for your selves and find out. Still with 7 days to my prom... no refund!
Only and email stating how I wasn't "clear enough" although I was! The dress I ordered was a 'of the shoulder' one and it came with a rounded neckline that floated on top on my chest I tried not to panic and tried ironing it... nothing worked and I am still very angry and still waiting for a refund however they are demanding I get the dress remade with 7 days which is impossible as they are based in Singapore which isn't mentioned on the website...

The dress is beautiful and has a unique design, as shown in the picture on the website. I had been looking extensively for a suitable dress in various wedding clothing stores in my city but could not find anything that I liked and the wedding event that I am going to attend is fast approaching. Then I found this dress on the diydress website, which I liked immediately but since I have never ordered a dress online before, I was very sceptical to order something that I had only seen in a picture and not seen in person. I was also worried that I might not receive the dress in time before the wedding that I am going to attend in three weeks from now. I recommend customers pay a little extra and order the Custom Size with their correct measurements because the standard sizes listed on the Company's website may not be an appropriate fit. My first online dress order experience proves that diydress is a trustworthy Company and they deliver on their promise. Their Customer Service is EXCELLENT! The Customer Service Agents are prompt at responding to enquiries.
