My story is similar to everyone else's- paid for a digital product which they did not deliver, another word for that is theft. They make is very difficult to contact customer service and when you do they just give you the complete run around. Had to refuse the charges with my payment provider. This company is truly awful.
Seems to be linked to Avast but also mentions it's an Adobe partner.
Is not easy to find out how to cancel it.
It's connected to a bank account I didn't give access to either.
Not happy at all. Digital rip off more like it.
I wish I had looked into this company before placing an order with Lenovo, I stupidly assumed that they were just handling the payments in Ireland I had no idea that they were further involved.
I have contacted customer service 4 days in a row to find a tracking order for a laptop that is a christmas present for an 11 year old. I just keep getting told that they are trying to contact logistics to get this.
I placed an order for the accompanying bag which arrived 4 days after placing the order but the laptop costing over €300 is nowhere to be found.
Avoid at all costs
If you a purchasing a product or digital product [download/ subscription] and Digital River is the payment processor, stay away. Do not go forward with the order. Once they process your payment your money will be gone forever. They do not honor stated refund policies at all. Read the reviews. You have been warned.
"Roger" the crook on the phone billed my account for a product I canceled over a year ago. When trying to get my funds returned this fool felt it his duty to make my day more complicated. Screw u "Roger" got my money back anyways
Seems these guys like to scam. I had gone to their website for AVG FREE the free anti virus software. I only have the free version, but today they claimed I had a premium version and they took $93.99AUD out of my account, without notice and without notification that any trial offer was expiring or anything like that. I ONLY have the free version. Their website contact form does not work, and the company do not respond to emails.
I then found out that the premium service is HALF of what they charged me. I have demanded a full refund through Paypal.
Add me to the list of dissatisfied customers. I've had nothing but trouble with the version of Kaspersky that I bought from Digital River. It was renewed without any message from them before the due date. Now I have to find an email address for the company, tell them I never intended to renew and ask for a refund. At least I purchased it using PayPal.
I will never have any dealings with this company again and highly recommend that anyone reading this doesn't either.
I've been using computers for over 35 years and have never had the problems I had with Digital River's version of Kaspersky. Even though I paid to have them download it to my computer, I was told to do it myself and if I had any problems, to contact them. What a complete and total ripoff!

I Bought software that didn't work for me and after contacting digital river explaining I got nothing for my money they refused my refund. Terrible way to deal with customers. They've basically scammed me and ripped me off. My advice is stay well away from digital river
This is a dirty company, they automatically renewed something with me that I had not requested. I have reported them to PayPal for now. They have robbed me of $90 and I have had no response from this horrible company, I want my money back you frigging thevies.
I can not get a refund, Email response, their phone cuts off/does not answer. I purchased software from https://www.sysgeeker.com/ the purchase goes through DigitalRiver, the key I recieved from sysgeeker does nothing! I mean nothing, will not register.
I contacted sysgeeker and no response. Began refund with them, no response.
Contacted DigitalRiver and no email response, their phone does not work. Nothing. I called my bank and began a fraud investigation, so we will see where that goes.
They have sold software license with no ability to refund the transaction even though the software itself can't be registered because the license fails. Also, the seller refused to reply to the email. Request for refund was made 5 minutes after purchase.
The installation and registration was attempted at a stock version of Windows 10 with all the upgrades and updates so it was not "OS fault".
This outlet is mismanaged. Call Center in Philippines would not address your concern. A Nightmare if you are unlucky to buy from them. After charging my credit card still waiting 14 hours to receive the product's serial number.
Stay away from this company. They withdrew money from my PayPal account without authorization and when I questioned it they never even bothered to reply. They are clearly used by scammers for fraudulent activities. Their on-line security is terrible.
You were warned.
Paid for next day shipping. Took a whole week to arrive. Customer service tried shifting blame onto FEDEX, but logs show they didn't hand it off for 4 days.
I attempted to buy a build to order computer from Lenovo store for a company I work for. It should have been a simple process, select the computer and its components, enter your information, receive an invoice, pay it and done. Instead the site malfunctions and no longer removes VAT, as expected in a B2B inter-EU purchase.
I contact their chat agent, who just tells to use another browser, disable extensions, clear caches. As an IT professional I had already tried all the end user solvable remedies and the case gets escalated. What follows is a month, yes, a month, of frustration with Digital River. I call them only to spend long times on hold, then receive unhelpful and flat out wrong instructions from the customer reps. My e-mails to their helpdesk receive useless copy-paste responses, that often don't even have anything to do with with what I asked them.
Eventually they just give up on me and try direct me back to the phone support, that originally told to contact the e-mail support. I give up and order the computer from another brand.
I bought software from Digital River which did not work. Customer service is awful; you can only communicate by email. There are grammar mistakes in all of their correspondence. I have been sent back and forth between emails, each saying that the other will resolve it. They will not give me a refund and insist they have solved my problem. I still don't have working software.
I would not hire digital river to sell a snow cone. I've had recent dealings with them related to an AutoCad purchase. No reason to go into details... but the experience was worse than awful. If you have a way to avoid this company I suggest you do so.
Stay away from Digital River! I could have bought my software directly from the manufacturer (Nuance) and saved myself a lot of frustration and wasted time. Three days after the product was supposed to have arrived it has still not been shipped. In two hours on the phone with Digital River no one could tell me when it will be shipped or whether they even have it in stock. No one knows anything and talking to their "customer support" is an exercise in futility.
This looks so remarkably like a fake or scam that I can't believe they're a legit business. They were very fast at taking the subscription charge and completely unresponsive about tracking down the order. Submitting the order number they gave me on their site kept coming back as "This order is not recognised". I have cancelled the subscription and I am very disappointed that AVG Antivirus used this company to process the transaction.
I bought a Roxio video converter via Digital River, Ireland. It didn't work, and Corel, the Roxio parent company, gave me the runaround when I contacted their customer support. Links they sent didn't work, answers to my questions were in template form. Over and over the same template.
I contacted Digital River customer support. The order number on my invoice and the order number from my account debit came back as "not found". Several emails to them remained unanswered.
Finally, after having badgered Corel with 10 or more emails, I received one that said I would get a refund. That was 10 days ago.
Do not buy any Corel product nor anything from Digital River.
They are crooks.
Answer: I, too, was mysteriously debited by this company (whom I have never heard of). Now I must go through the inconvenient process of replacing the card, I suspect that this is, indeed, a scam!
